Pronuncia accettabile, ottima performance! Magari l'avrei diretta più velocemente, l'ho sempre trovata un'aria frizzante, non c'è posto per il dolore in questa opera!
Just saw Opera Australia's Cosi Fan Tutte. Shane Lowrencev is AMAZING... A true Bass singing Guglielmo... So lush and refreshing. A name to look out for!
Actually, I think they look very much the same in their "turki" disguise - at least on the images printed to the two DVDs - I cannot tell who is who from these images alone ;)
Great singer and actor, who makes this aria his own, with a slight variation in "a tanti a tanti a tanti a tanti" - which is funny for me! I particularly like him and Fiordiligi. (she's not been miscast, I think she's just different from the other ones)
What language is Lehtipuu speaking in? When he sings he's quite acceptable, but the recitatives...
Sei adorabile. E già che ci sei potresti mostrarlo pure a noi! :-)
Well, the tone will never be "Italianate", but that's ok. But he should sing with Italian vowels and consonants. I know he's Finnish. If he wants to sing Italian operas he should study a little more the Italian language. But nobody cares. In German or French operas they are all obsessed with pronounciation. When it comes to Italian repertoire, anything goes...
@NedRorem i think Lehtipuu's pronunciation in recitatives is good enough, i mean its just normal, since hes finnish; i dont see anything so terrible! (ma comunque concordo con te sul fatto che quando si tratta dell'italiano passa tutto in cavalleria ... )
You just made me order it form amzn. Not fair, I spent a lot on music last month and my wife will certainly go mad, but these arias are elusively shocking, utterly entertaining, or it is just Mozart- snofa bch. Thanks for posting this and that clarinet quintet; you just hit the spot.
@IlPianista24 Better than the "Schirmer pronouncing" scores - those are more or less nonsense, lol....anyone else think the tempo of the aria is a little slow? Mozart marks it as allegretto..i feel like by the end, especially at "velo mostro, mille volte il brando presi" (la-re-si-sol-sol-sol-do-sol-do-mi-re-sol [fixed-do]), he seems to be a little tired and out of time with the orchestra. Could use a little more covering ;)
He's actually a basso cantate (bass-baritone), according to official sources. Although I prefer Simon Keenlyside's interpretation, Luca is absolutely wonderful in his own right.

This is a nice balanced performance, not too hectic and not too slow, good energy.

Yes! Nice chest, too....I mean, of course, for singing....
This is such a delightful opera. Notice that it takes the men to 'poison' themselves before the women 'give in'.
I wonder how the men would do, if a similar trick were played on them...well, no I don't REALLY wonder, I kinda know how it would go down....

Gosh, they're both so cute, how's a woman to decide which one of them she wants to be with?

Vabbè, la pronuncia di Lehtipuu non è poi così male: fa le "erre" meglio di me :)
Per quanto riguarda Pisaroni, non ci sono aggettivi adeguati :D
