Satoshi Kon never worked in a way where you could watch his works and not think. Since his works delved deep into the human subconscious, you had to actively think through the whole movie, and be able to understand on a deeper level. For me, personally, I love his different take on things. It turns anime into an art form, instead of a form of entertainment when you're bored.

But if you don't like thinking, his works such as Paprika, Paranoia Agent, or Perfect Blue are not for you.

People say this movie is shitty because it doesn't make sense.

but they forgot that there's a lot about Japanese culture/history they don't know about.

There's also a lot of things that have clear meaning to Foreigners aswell.

You just have to THINK. :D

talk about all the scary and wacky additional various characters back in the early 20th centuries or WHAT? like including. merrie melodie's hollywood step out, merrie melodies have you got any castles?, merrie melodies coo coo nu grove, screen song's toys will be toys, etc.
