Hold on, your facts are all wrong. We were attacked on 9/11/01. We didn't 'invade" Iraq until February 2003! So you're wrong about Bush's lateness. The federal government acted within days to weeks to Katrinia. The blame shold have gone to the incompetant Governor and the Mayor of "chocolate city" not Bush. So the federal acted faster in their response to Katrinia than we did 'invading" Iraq. It took years to mount an invasion force where it took only weeks to help the victims of Katrinia.

AA is UNCALLED FOR. When I graduated College, the only thing that employers were interested in at my college is what someone's race and gender were, not their qualifications. If Employers hired people by way of their qualifications instead of their race and gender, I wouldn't be unemployed since 2006! The newspaper article on August 8th, 1961 introduces Barry Soetoro to the world claiming he was born on August 4th. That is not how it worked back then. @rts4761 Do a little more research and see where he's invested money and why? see what bills qualify as "his spending" and you'll come to find out he didn't intiate many of them by choice but by an urgent need to slow down the rapid downfall so that markets had enough time to adjust accordingly and reduce the impact on the economy which I think he achieved. I studied finance for 3 years and I wrote a paper on this. Lots of research.

Hold on, your facts are all wrong. We were attacked on 9/11/01. We didn't 'invade" Iraq until February 2003! So you're wrong about Bush's lateness. The federal government acted within days to weeks to Katrinia. The blame shold have gone to the incompetant Governor and the Mayor of "chocolate city" not Bush. So the federal acted faster in their response to Katrinia than we did 'invading" Iraq. It took years to mount an invasion force where it took only weeks to help the victims of Katrinia.

@rts4761 I recently applied to ALL those places. 1 year unemployed and I'm black. AA doesn't help me. When black are employed you call them dim and blame AA. When blacks are unemployed you call them lazy. Anyways, the LAW requires companies to ask this information FOR RECORD KEEPING ONlY, the person hiring you or interviewing you doesn't get to see the racial part of the application. DUH!!!!! @rts4761 According to the bureau of labor statistics, the recession has change white unemployment from 4% two years ago to 5.2%. 10.1 % of blacks, 7% of Hispanics are unemployed, which is an improvement from the 10.5% both use to be unemployed 2 years ago. So technically your right, whites have been hit the hardest but as you can see the number still don't compare. More white ppl in america are on welfare than blacks because their are MORE WHITES in america. The % is small but number is big.

Affirmative Action denies hard working qualified white people jobs that they worked hard for and deserve based on their dedication and hardwork. I am continually facing homelessness because of employer's preference for hiring minorities into jobs and I have seen lots of unqualified minorities in jobs that don't give a crap about doing their jobs properly or competantly just to fill a government mandated race and gender quota. I was doing some yard work today when a couple of trucks came down the road.
It was the second time that crew of 6 came out. The first time they spent an hour with a can of spray paint, making dashed lines around the broken asphalt of three potholes.
Fast forward two weeks later, the same crew came rumbling down the road.
Each Mexican had one black supervisor and one black driver.
It was a typical government op, 100 man hours to fix one of three pot holes.
Caroo was one of the drivers.

The job was completed yesterday, after 6 additional hours of "work".
7 guys were on the job yesterday.
They added another lackey to place cones and direct traffic, in a fricken CULDESAC!
3 potholes patched with tar, sloppily, in 60 man hours, over two weeks time.
I have no idea of the cost, but they added a private contractor (full day) yesterday for disposal and back hoe.
The street is slated to be repaved in the Fall.....

Did you know that the budget for code enforcement in my little city was $675,000 last year?
That was a staff of 3 people.
Two full time and one part time
On top of that was a 60k car lease allowance for the three pirates.
The budget has since expanded and more hiring of pirates.
Even to this day, 25% of the code enforcement budget is paid to a company based in upstate New York (1,500 miles away)???

AA is UNCALLED FOR. When I graduated College, the only thing that employers were interested in at my college is what someone's race and gender were, not their qualifications. If Employers hired people by way of their qualifications instead of their race and gender, I wouldn't be unemployed since 2006! I am a very talented and skilled graphic artist, but that doesn't mean bupkis because I am not a minority!

Well maybe your assesement that white people have an advantage is wrong. As I have repeatedly stated, Affirmative Action mandates that employers hire people making race and gender over qualifications, and I have seen many unqualified minorities employed in jobs that they just don't care about doing properly or compentantly, and Barack Obama is a PRIME EXAMPLE of this. I have earned my four year degree, and served in the military honorably and have never been in trouble with the law for anything!

@3dartistguy I didn't defend AA. I defended removing Don't Ask Don't Tell. You're argument is that AA is discrimination (not rev disc, see the previous post. Discriminating against white people is JUST discrimination. Reverse discrimination would be reversing discrimination, a.k.a. NOT discriminating). As for saying the president is unqualified. He was voted in. And he's doing a decent job of picking up the pieces the last guy left behind. It's not like we were prob free when he got here.

@3dartistguy In addition, Don't Ask Don't Tell was discrimination. So discrimination via AA is not ok, but DADT is? I notice you didn't answer the question. What if someone were to tell you that you can serve, but you can't tell anyone you're Christian, or a Democrat, or adopted? There'd be an uproar.

DADT is based on morality, AA is not. AA was intended to make up for the wrongs of the past...DADT is because stright servicemembers DO NOT want to live with gays. We have male and female birthings, no inbetween. There are male and femaile bathrooms. Which ones do gays use? There is no between. Unfortunately, you have to tell someone you're white and then you get discriminated against becuase of Affirmative Action that Kagan supports as well as Obama. But there are no legal inbetweeners.

Not sure you understand the definition of morality. DADT and AA were both passed in order to counteract inequality. AA was intended to correct social inequality between races. DADT was passed in order to correct inequality in a person's right to serve the country.

@3dartistguy By the way, almost every service member I know doesn't care if the guy to his left or right is gay. They care how well he can aim. If someone's going to be on the frontlines with you, where you come under fire, have to worry about IEDs and being shelled, or are just concerned with when you're next hot meal is, do you really think you're gonna have time to whether or not somebody is gay or straight? And actually there are lots of legal inbetweeners. They're called "Middle of the Road
