  • Republicans love big business dumbfucks. If you're going to root for the retarded team, at least know what you're all about.

  • It has been 1 year since a comment has been posted. And once again, we are back to the same situation. "drill, baby, drill" ... next election, rethink the outcomes.

  • Wolfboy...It is "Dubya's" fault that the settlement the fishermen were supposed to get of $5 billion is now only $507 million as a result of the conservative judges he appointed to the Supreme Court. But yeah, the Repubs are fighting hard for the small guy, right?

  • @joejoe04 : Republicans? Fighting for the little guy? bwuhahaHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahah!!! Oh man, that's funny....

  • exxon announces their 20 billion projects in new york today march 2007 exxon to me is like a (GLORAFIED NYMPHOMANIC NOT ENOUGH MONEY TO SATISFY THEMSELVES,SO THEY SCREW EVERBODY IN THE COUNTRY EVEN THEIR STOCKHOLDERS)

  • oil sand techology comes into play now?

  • das just not right lol

  • thats nasty

  • EW! That's not a clean beach!!

  • Want to see how massive an impact the worlds largest and most powerful company (ExxonMobil of course) has on the government, media, and public?

Search "Out of Balance" in youtube and check out the trailer for an upcomming documentary about what ExxonMobil has done to stall action on Global Warming and their history of environmental destruction and negligence (including the ExxonValdez disaster which they still haven't cleaned up all the oil from the beaches - as you can see here!)

  • thats because bush is an imbecile. its all over the "internets". bring back the clinton machine!

  • this was added july 28 and its still getting comments so often :x

  • Geez, i wish i could be cool like these people

  • man, the oil on that beach is totally George W's fault.

  • right.. its all his falut that some company did this 17 years ago.... he wasn't even in office when it happen... you must not of watched part one...

  • that piece of paper that they soaked in oil is now worth $30.

  • Curious, does anyone know the HighSchool doing the collecting? I went to Chugiak.

  • Question? Can the students resell this oil and get something for it? Probably not considering how much digging they would end up doing to get a cupful. I guess I answered my own question. LOL!

  • You can buy a small vial of the oil that came from the ExxonValdez at the Valdez local tourist shops for $1

  • Unlikely, I just drove thousands of miles to get to the right coast. I'm not going back just for a vial. Besides, I just got some oil up at the Hess Station, Hahahahah.

  • Don't get me wrong, the vials are small (no bigger than an inch). I'm pretty sure memory serves me right about the price...I used to work at one of the local tourist shops. My hometown is Valdez.

  • I'm just funin with ya. I know better. Anyways stay warm. I'm locked in bitter winter too in Upstate N.Y.. Watch out for Polar Bears?!LOL!

  • Whos there ? :p rofl

  • saudi arabia controls the oil.

If the saudis want the price to go up, the price will go up.

    believe me,

I hope we all remember the 80's.

    thankyou vh1

  • I live in Alaska, and I see oil seeping out of the ground on a regular basis, in more places than one. I live nowhere near Valdez or any other recent spills. It's pretty much common knowledge where I live (by Cook Inlet) that there's lots of oil in the ground, because that's how half the familied here are employed, out on the oil platforms in the Inlet. The oil deposits are in the ground, and the companies extract it. Oil is a natural resouce.

  • 'believe me'

Who the fuck are you? You dont know fuck all you prat. Saudi Arabia controls nothing because Yanks run Saudi. Opec stabilises prices in line with world (american) demands. As for 'I hope we all remember the 80s', no I dont I was born in 81 but I have heard about the 70s oil embargo not the 80s. You muppet. Fuck off.

  • TRUE true.

  • lol

  • Yeah. oil spills get washed up into the sand. It does not form just there over millions of years at the waters edge.

This is a really common problem that no one wants to pay to fix.

  • Yeah, like the oil washing up onto the beaches of California as reported by Sir Francis Drake in the 16th century. Do ya think there's oil up there in Alaska? Ya wanta guess how many thousands of years it's been seeping up to the surface, like Drakes oil? Maybe we should pump it all out and be done with it. If you believe Hefeweisen, it could be abated all in about 2 months. Right???? Right???

  • i do not under stand a word that u just said >_<?

  • this should be called, students find exxon spilled oil.

this is just from the spill that they did a bad job of cleaning up, not a real deposit.

  • Heavy crude oil is practically the stuff in the bottom of the pits, not very well cleaned and has all kind of sand and dirt in it to make it thick.

  • If we drilled for oil in alaska, prices would drop to somewhere between $1.25 and $1.40. Actually, I just made that up. But I bet they'd drop.

  • no they wouldnt. because there's plenty of oil. there's a lack of refining. oil companies are purposefully refining less gas to raise the price so they can egg out profits longer.

also, the highest estimate for available oil in alaska, if it was all extracted at once, would only last for 2 months. setting up drilling and piping would take 20 years and be detrimental to ANWAR.

    its a ridiculous proposition

  • If it's really that silly then why would the oil companies pay to drill there? It must be economical, otherwise they wouldn't ask to do it.

  • R O F L!!

  • um, yeah. That stuff ain't going anywhere...unless you figure out a way to clean individual particles of sand and dirt.

  • Use Cillit Bang - scientifically proven to remove 99% of all unwanted oil spills.

  • awee..<br>

    that's sad...

  • oil is bad:O
