Bambi's mom...? Makes a delicious venison burger with a side of ketchup. As for Mufasa, and Old Yeller? Incredibly sad. Honorable mention: Zordon in the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers movie. Yes, that scene. Zordon being hurt made me bawl till my sides hurt :'(
I think saddest moment for me was carebears I think was movie 2 where the 1 girl ends up on floor of cave seems dead because of villian I didn't know being under 5 that carebear stare would work my subconious said when I saw pokemon first movie this is to fimilliar he will be ok though didn't really know why at time cause of carebears I later figured out. I didn't cry but felt was sad. NC wasn't pokemon fan. The pokemon coppied a carebears movie which is funny. I was probaly bit old for pokemon
i felt Lion king just didn't feel sad to me. Old yeller was a little sad but there was good reason for him ti be killed yeah I'm one of weirdo's who didn't cry at it shoot me. Bambi was stupid and at time I wished someone would kill my mother so I cheered for hunter I now no wrong to wish someone's dead but I no longer keep contact with mother.
if I were to choose a movie moment that made me cry I would choose the scene in "Bridge To Terabithea" where jesse gets back from a trip to new york city to have his mother tell him his best friend lesley died because when see swinged from a rope across a river but it snaped and even though she could swim she hit her head on a rock at the bottom of the river knocking her out and causing her to drown to death... and to top it off the rest of the movie is jesse in denile over lesley's death
Call me a child I don't care the saddest moment for me (after mufasas death i mean WOW) was Ash getting paralysed in the Pokemon movie. Yes he comes back to life but HEY we didn't know that at the time. If you didn't cry at that then either you were someone who had been forced by their younger sibling to go see it or you have no soul. Thats it.
For me, the saddest thing I ever saw is the death of Stitch from Lilo and Stitch 2: Stitch as a Glitch. That is so sad to me. Luckily, Lilo brings him back to life with her love, bow to see Stitch in a dying or dead state is a real tear jerker moment. Boy, the phraise, "Love is more stronger than death" really plays out in the end.
how could he NOT do the scenes from the movie 9????????? everyone CRIED watching that movie (saddest moment it what happened with 5 in the movie 9 (NOT GIVING IT AWAY SORRY) )
Mufasa's death was really sad, Scar taunts him before killing him and makes Simba believe he is the one responsible for his father's death, even to a villain that is cold, on a Disney villain, that's an attrocity.
1. Now that the Critic has brought it up, I have noticed that most of Disney's movies have a sad scene. Whether it's about someone who died, someone leaving, or about something bad that happened. However, the Critic does bring up a good point on the plot hole in Bambi with the birds. It's almost like they are treating it as if nothing happened, WHAT THE HELL?!!
3. (Continuing) The death of her friend is her fault, the funeral is in her house so now she can keep seeing him dead, even worse, and now the person she had a crush on is getting married. It's like God is trying so hard to make kill herself out of depression.
2. Of course this is sad, and what the hell is Star Trek WITHOUT SPOCK?! He had the best last words before he died "Live long and prosper," and "I have been and always shall be your friend." How can anyone forget those words?
6. Charlie Brown's right, it's better to have more "hellos" than "goodbyes." Especially when it comes to friends.
5. Well sure, humans are not the only species with feelings, so yeah animals including Artax the horse can get sad and this is more than enough to make animal lovers cry.
4. I guess when you loose the friend you have and you are back to being alone its depressing.
3. GOOD GOD, if I was in her shoes I would suffering the worst depression ever, all that happening.
There's one thing that he should add to the list, and that's when Po finds out the truth of his mother leaving. I'm a 19-year-old male, and no matter how many times I watch it, that scene always makes me shed a tear. And I don't cry very often. ;(
He's right about those Disney movies. I'm very curious as to why they feel the need to depress kids. Me personally, I must be messed up 'caz I don't remember ever crying. But looking back, the darkness in those movies directed mostly to little kids disturbs me.
i thought the scene in ''the iron giant'' when he sacrifaced himself to save the town made me cry so much my mum had to charge in my room to try to calm me down
The dogs in the pound in "Lady and the Tramp" made me cry EVERY TIME. And even today, the ASPCA ads with Sarah McLachlan playing over them makes me tear up.
To tell you the truth, I didn't find Bambi's mother death reall that sad. I ALWAYS broke down when Mufasa died cause it's so powerful, and Disney had the balls to show it on screen. I'm sorry, but it's my opinion.
he didn't put Gargoyles in there either. I mean, seriously. Just take a look at the first couple episodes and the drama between them and Demona throughout the series.
What about that Rugrats episode when Chuckie's pet rollie pollie Melville dies, or the many episodes of Hey Arnold, especially the bird-man episode...those were pretty sad for me.
I laughed through most of these corny sad moments but still had shed a tear almost when Nostalgia pulled out Spocks death that to me is like a nut shot you cruel cruel man but I liked it even though I didn't agree with afew, after all these years the nerd in me still weeps even with the sequels to show he's alive.
@Themastercode1235 YEA! I wonder why that and the Death of Opimus Prime wasn't in this list. Actually, some of these moments barely make us cry, like 11 & 10.
This guy obviously hasn't seen Grave of the Fireflies. If you have seen it you know that nearly ever character DIES!!! And it was made in 86. That was sad, it might not be Nostalgic except to the people who live in Japan.
WTF is wrong with Disney? It's all supposed to be about magic and wonder and they have the most tragic death scenes in history. I cried so hard when Bambi's mom died.
why does it seem like just about every disney movie has to either tease or succeed with killing someone off? even if it isn't directly pointing at it, someone, has, to dissapear. take recent movies. Meet the Robinsons for example, Wilbur, erased from the timeline temporarily due to Lucas's dumb mistake. not technically dead, but gone all the same. Princess and the Frog, firefly dies, and he's introduced with a HAPPY SONG for god's sake. nope, still dies, cause disney enjoys tormenting us.
#1 should be, although it is a Disney scene, when the old lady leaves the fox in "The Fox and The Hound", or when the Iron Giant blows up in "The Iron Giant".
in the never ending story the horse really did die. they couldnt save him and he died on the set. thats sad as hell. and just about a week ago i was at my grandparents house and i was watching the lion king with my younger cousin and when simba's dad died she asked me what happened to him. damn why are disney movies so sad?
Nah, I think saddest of all is the ending of All Dogs Go To Heaven. I don't know what I was expecting, I mean, you can tell from the title alone that it's not exactly going to be the most upbeat of movies, but DAMN, I was not expecting that! "Good bye, Charlie. I love you." "Yeah. I love you too." Thanks Don Bluth. Thank you so much for scarring me for life.
Great list...but for the record, I was fully prepared to boycott every future NC video if he left out Mufasa's death.
I didn't just cry about that. I was SCARRED by it. I watched that scene when I was four, and I refused to watch any other Disney movies for most of the next decade. All because THE FUCKERS KILLED OFF MUFASA.
everyone says that the saddest kids momment was the death of cosmo, I cried of joy! I hated that character! the second time i watched it i couldn't help but laugh at espio's expression
@themegagamesgamer People die too, so I guess that means Hamlet isn't a tragedy. The point was that they were all sad scenes; the fact that they have happy endings is irrelevant. If a scene makes you cry, then its sad, period.
OOOOHH SHIIIT JESUS CHRIST!! FUCK YOU NOSTALGIAA CRITIC!!!!! everything was fine until that charlotte's web part came in and a FUCKING TARANTULA'S SHITTY FACE CLOSE UP APPEARED. JESUS CHRIST!!! seriously that really scared the shit out of me....i fucking hate spiders.....cant stand them..................god.
Godzilla's meltdown in Godzilla vs DESTROYAH!!! for me. Watching one my favorite giant monster dying in front of your eyes was heartbreaking for me when I was a kid.
I cried my eyes out the first time watching My Girl and even seeing it mentioned here makes me sad. Yet seeing a jump cut of Veda knocking down the hive to that Culkin kid waving his hands around makes me crack up with laughter.
@bloodyhoody2 I'm going disagree and say the scene from the Fox and the Hound, where the old lady it taking Tod to release him in the woods. I was closer to crying at that than any other cartoon I can remember! (It's actually really hard to make me sad enough to cry)
Man ET was super sad. At the end when ET leaves always makes me cry!

NOT EVERY SINGLE GODDAMN DISNEY MOVIE! THIS WAS POINTLESS YOU PIECE OF RUST! ITS LIFE! THE LION KING
LIONS DIE FOR GOD SAKES!
Alice in wonderland? Well... That was reasonable
Snow white? WHAT THE H#@$ SHE LIVED! Disney is normal!

@themegagamesgamer People die too, so I guess that means Hamlet isn't a tragedy. The point was that they were all sad scenes; the fact that they have happy endings is irrelevant. If a scene makes you cry, then its sad, period.
