  • OhGod... effing Mufasa. ALL. THE. WAY.

  • killing off Spock is almost as bad as when they killed Ironhide in Transformers: Dark of the Moon

  • I cried during Dumbo, when he goes to see his mother. I am not ashamed to admit that.

  • you should have put up all dogs go to heaven when charlie died

  • land before time is the saddest then death of artax

  • I kinda hated Bambi... too cutesy...

My little pony has cute in humor.

Bambi has is shoved up your ass.

  • oh my god...good bye snoopy...i remember that WHY WOULD I BE TEARY EYED AT CHARLIE FREAKING BROWN?!

  • What about Tarzan? That movie in GENERAL is sad!!!

Course, that's probably because my parents were getting divorced RIGHT around the time that came out. And I was really little.

  • Bambi's mom...? Makes a delicious venison burger with a side of ketchup. As for Mufasa, and Old Yeller? Incredibly sad. Honorable mention: Zordon in the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers movie. Yes, that scene. Zordon being hurt made me bawl till my sides hurt :'(

  • Mufasa... *tissues*

  • It feels so weird to laugh and cry at the same time. Damn you Nostalgia Critic.

  • He has an amazing voice

  • but watched anyway

  • I think saddest moment for me was carebears I think was movie 2 where the 1 girl ends up on floor of cave seems dead because of villian I didn't know being under 5 that carebear stare would work my subconious said when I saw pokemon first movie this is to fimilliar he will be ok though didn't really know why at time cause of carebears I later figured out. I didn't cry but felt was sad. NC wasn't pokemon fan. The pokemon coppied a carebears movie which is funny. I was probaly bit old for pokemon

  • i felt Lion king just didn't feel sad to me. Old yeller was a little sad but there was good reason for him ti be killed yeah I'm one of weirdo's who didn't cry at it shoot me. Bambi was stupid and at time I wished someone would kill my mother so I cheered for hunter I now no wrong to wish someone's dead but I no longer keep contact with mother.

  • Disney still makes movies that make us wanna cry. Toy Story 3, nuff sed

  • I cried for a hour after artex

  • japans

  • none of these are sadder then the cove scene where happiness men massacre dolphins.:<

  • WHAT ABOUT MOTHER 3!?

  • OK, I was laughing my head off when he was talking about the scene after Bambi's mom...

  • if I were to choose a movie moment that made me cry I would choose the scene in "Bridge To Terabithea" where jesse gets back from a trip to new york city to have his mother tell him his best friend lesley died because when see swinged from a rope across a river but it snaped and even though she could swim she hit her head on a rock at the bottom of the river knocking her out and causing her to drown to death... and to top it off the rest of the movie is jesse in denile over lesley's death

  • what movie does the clip where he shoots the dog coem from>

  • @KelanDWood old yeller

  • Me: WERE IS ALL THE DISNEY MOVIES!? I cried in EVERY Disney movie!

Nostalgia Critic: Nr 1 Every single god damn Disney movie ever made!

    Me:Oh... nevermind what I said....

  • sorry I absolutely had to do this

3:46 : NOT THE BEES! NOT THE BEES!!! AAAAAHHHH!!!!

    -Nicholas Cage

  • But what about the song Tears To Shed from Tim Burton's The Corpse Bride? That was bloody sad, damn it!

  • Nostalgia Critic ....nooooooooo!

  • Call me a child I don't care the saddest moment for me (after mufasas death i mean WOW) was Ash getting paralysed in the Pokemon movie. Yes he comes back to life but HEY we didn't know that at the time. If you didn't cry at that then either you were someone who had been forced by their younger sibling to go see it or you have no soul. Thats it.

  • For me, the saddest thing I ever saw is the death of Stitch from Lilo and Stitch 2: Stitch as a Glitch. That is so sad to me. Luckily, Lilo brings him back to life with her love, bow to see Stitch in a dying or dead state is a real tear jerker moment. Boy, the phraise, "Love is more stronger than death" really plays out in the end.

  • I think the saddest moment was Goku from the DBZ Cell saga when he sacrifices himself

  • how could he NOT do the scenes from the movie 9????????? everyone CRIED watching that movie (saddest moment it what happened with 5 in the movie 9 (NOT GIVING IT AWAY SORRY) )

  • I saw American Tail once when I was a kid and I'm still afraid to walk into a room of kids watching it.

  • 7:37,

(Littlefoot's mom dying, then the sad scene with Rot or whatever its name was)

Next scene: Oooh, look at the birdlys, look at them fighting over fruits.

  • death of optimus prime is my numbu 1

  • Mufasa's death was really sad, Scar taunts him before killing him and makes Simba believe he is the one responsible for his father's death, even to a villain that is cold, on a Disney villain, that's an attrocity.

  • 1. Now that the Critic has brought it up, I have noticed that most of Disney's movies have a sad scene. Whether it's about someone who died, someone leaving, or about something bad that happened. However, the Critic does bring up a good point on the plot hole in Bambi with the birds. It's almost like they are treating it as if nothing happened, WHAT THE HELL?!!

  • 3. (Continuing) The death of her friend is her fault, the funeral is in her house so now she can keep seeing him dead, even worse, and now the person she had a crush on is getting married. It's like God is trying so hard to make kill herself out of depression.

    2. Of course this is sad, and what the hell is Star Trek WITHOUT SPOCK?! He had the best last words before he died "Live long and prosper," and "I have been and always shall be your friend." How can anyone forget those words?

  • 6. Charlie Brown's right, it's better to have more "hellos" than "goodbyes." Especially when it comes to friends.

    5. Well sure, humans are not the only species with feelings, so yeah animals including Artax the horse can get sad and this is more than enough to make animal lovers cry.

    4. I guess when you loose the friend you have and you are back to being alone its depressing.

    3. GOOD GOD, if I was in her shoes I would suffering the worst depression ever, all that happening.

  • There's one thing that he should add to the list, and that's when Po finds out the truth of his mother leaving. I'm a 19-year-old male, and no matter how many times I watch it, that scene always makes me shed a tear. And I don't cry very often. ;(

  • @killer92173 From Kung Fu Panda 2. (Sorry I left it out).

  • He's right about those Disney movies. I'm very curious as to why they feel the need to depress kids. Me personally, I must be messed up 'caz I don't remember ever crying. But looking back, the darkness in those movies directed mostly to little kids disturbs me.

  • i thought the scene in ''the iron giant'' when he sacrifaced himself to save the town made me cry so much my mum had to charge in my room to try to calm me down

  • i want bacon.LOL.dark humor :)

  • I killed Bambi's mom

  • my girl is wicked sad..i always cry at that scene.. :(

  • To quote Bender from 'Futurama'

"Whenever I'd say 'Death to all spiders', I'd always whisper 'except one'."

I'm an arachnaphobe and I still get teary over Charlotte's demise.

  • Blue Bird should be #1. I bawl my eyes out whenever I think about it or see it.

  • Hey! When I first saw Star Trek 2 and Spock died, I cried all night and was still sad in the morning.

  • PRIME, YOU CAN'T DIE!

do not grive soon, i shall be one with the matrix...

    ...prime...

UHhh Ultra Magnus it is to old friend i shall pass the matrix of leadership as it was past to me.

but im just a solider, im not worthy

Nor was I, but the day will come when an autobot would rise from our ranks and use to the matrix to light our darkest hour...

  • South Park - Kenny Dies

  • @whatisthisidontevens

Nah, when kenny dies it's fucking hilarious.

When they killed off Chef on the other hand, that's a different story.

  • @GojyotheFeared I was talking about the episode, actually.

  • I remember neverending story, Lol first time I saw that part I cried like a child.. well.. I was 7 but... Point still stands >.>

  • Does Tara's death in Buffy count? Because that scene is a lot sadder than Mufasa or Bambi's mum.

  • @KittyfantasticoFTW

I cried when Buffy stabs Angel at the end of the 2nd season.

  • The dogs in the pound in "Lady and the Tramp" made me cry EVERY TIME. And even today, the ASPCA ads with Sarah McLachlan playing over them makes me tear up.

  • ......wha- what about that scene in never ending story, the big strong hands scene?

  • What about John Merrick's death in The Elephant Man? That scene made me cry to the point where I could barely breathe!

  • And the saddest scene I ever saw was from a game. Starwish, Ginny's end.

  • Don't forget Pinky & the Brain did a parody of the Lion King's scene in which even the Brain Cried.

  • To tell you the truth, I didn't find Bambi's mother death reall that sad. I ALWAYS broke down when Mufasa died cause it's so powerful, and Disney had the balls to show it on screen. I'm sorry, but it's my opinion.

  • @killer92173 THANK YOU !!!!

  • What about fox and the Hound?!

  • @swfreeek

When Widow Tweed lets Tod go still gets me teared up.

  • @swfreeek

he didn't put Gargoyles in there either. I mean, seriously. Just take a look at the first couple episodes and the drama between them and Demona throughout the series.

  • @swfreeek Yes, but technically, he did say "Every Disney movie." Fox and the Hound counts.

  • @swfreeek I think it's included with Every single God damn Disney movie ever made XD

  • @swfreeek He said EVERY Disney movie ever made.

  • my girl..holy crap i tried to block that scene from my memory!

  • i feel so depressed now.thanks for reminding me

    *falls on the floor*

  • Let me guess. That was Minnie getting back at him for shooting Mickey right?

  • I can't stand watching cartoon characters cry. It just breaks my heart every time.

  • I still sob like a baby at Mufasa's death and I'm nearly 21 years old...

  • the death of charlotte made me freaking cry.

  • The beginning of Finding Nemo is extremely depressing.

  • What about that Rugrats episode when Chuckie's pet rollie pollie Melville dies, or the many episodes of Hey Arnold, especially the bird-man episode...those were pretty sad for me.

  • @riptiderobin15 I think for Rugrats the all time worst was the mothers day episode where chuckie finds his mom's poem she wrote while dying

  • @Tmartin1438 That was actually a pretty sad episode. I guess I just prefer the older Rugrats episodes.

  • Saddest moment for me was the the entire last 4 episodes of Wolf's Rain. I mean, who the fuck has ever seen the series and not cried for Toboe?

  • optimus dies all the time

in beast wars megatron actually says "oh you optimuses do love to sacrifice yourselves"

  • The whole Artex thing makes sense when you read the book.... CUZ ARTEX COULD TALK!!!! *sobs* AAARTEEXX!!!! :,(

  • I laughed through most of these corny sad moments but still had shed a tear almost when Nostalgia pulled out Spocks death that to me is like a nut shot you cruel cruel man but I liked it even though I didn't agree with afew, after all these years the nerd in me still weeps even with the sequels to show he's alive.

  • la la la daa di daa....

  • "simba!!!" "noooooo!!" :(

  • omg, i swear to god i almost cried!!!! =O

  • omg, im depressed now

  • thats it, he exists in french now??

  • None of these moments made me cry when I was a kid, except the death of Simba's father.

  • "His was the mo--st... ... human."

The way Kirk chokes up on the word "most" just gets me every time. ///_T

    Shatner's best performance.

  • Isn't Spock's death kinda like the end of Suburban Knights!

  • the only scenes that made me cry was mufasa's death and the end of the jurassic bark episode from futurama

  • No E.T?

  • @Themastercode1235 YEA! I wonder why that and the Death of Opimus Prime wasn't in this list. Actually, some of these moments barely make us cry, like 11 & 10.

  • @billruller Yeah, the death of Optimus was frickin sad...

  • The death of the horse is very sad, because it's a real horse!

  • The saddest moment for me was when Mufassa died

  • @PurpleGurl1200 Even to this day, I never forgave Scar for killing him off.

  • This guy obviously hasn't seen Grave of the Fireflies. If you have seen it you know that nearly ever character DIES!!! And it was made in 86. That was sad, it might not be Nostalgic except to the people who live in Japan.

  • @yotsubafanfan That whole movie..... I think it's too long to be considered a "moment" though! XD

  • And people wonder why so many kids end up with drinking problems when they grow up

  • Ricky's death in Boyz N Da Hood made me cry.

  • hey ! je m'attendait a ce que le n 1 des moments les plus tristes, soit les films de disney ! je pensais,en premier la mort de mufasa !o_o

  • omg the real spide face scared the shit out of me!!!!

  • I think the funniest moment in this vid was with the horse

  • OH GOOOOODD SPOCK IS DEAD

  • When I was 3, I hated Lion King BECAUSE of the stampede. I got over it when I was 7. I am 10 right now.

  • The critic is dead 1# saddest moment WHAAA!!!

  • Why does Doug sing to well? He's a critic!

  • WTF is wrong with Disney? It's all supposed to be about magic and wonder and they have the most tragic death scenes in history. I cried so hard when Bambi's mom died.

  • Only #1 made me cry, and i only shed a single tear.

  • HAHAHA! #1 had me lol-ing!!!

  • disney takes advantage of us and makes us feel like pussy asses

  • Me and my sister laughed when Mufasa died. The whole theater thought we where sick!!

  • @tweethang1 yeah thats because it's cartoon animated film your supposed to laugh

  • Artex!!! NOOOO!!!

  • He forgot the Tranfomers Movie when Optimus dies.

  • @Jaseida He also forgot DragonHeart where Draco dies.

  • horse voices make me sh*t my pants laughing XD

  • LMFAO AT THE HORSE! THAT WAS SO DISTURBING WHEN I HAD TO WATCH IT IN ELEMENTARY

  • how could you not put the near death of johnny 5 in the top 10?

  • The death of Simba's father with the pretty birdies, lol.

  • old yeller saddest

  • NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOSTALGIA CRITIC DIEEHIEEHIEEEEDD!!!! *starts crying extremely loud*

    *stops crying*

oohhh look at the birdies =D

  • Oh shit nc us dead!!!!!!!

Ooooh pretty birds! Where was I?

  • I think the saddest moment was the death of optimus prime in the 1986 movie.

  • ohhhh shiny keys *steals them*

  • Simba´s dad always remembered me to my father...so yeah...it got me.

  • Wah!!! The Critic's dead!

    Oh, look! Pretty Birdies.

  • Bambi was tough

  • lion king was the first movie i cryed to

  • why does it seem like just about every disney movie has to either tease or succeed with killing someone off? even if it isn't directly pointing at it, someone, has, to dissapear. take recent movies. Meet the Robinsons for example, Wilbur, erased from the timeline temporarily due to Lucas's dumb mistake. not technically dead, but gone all the same. Princess and the Frog, firefly dies, and he's introduced with a HAPPY SONG for god's sake. nope, still dies, cause disney enjoys tormenting us.

  • #1 should be, although it is a Disney scene, when the old lady leaves the fox in "The Fox and The Hound", or when the Iron Giant blows up in "The Iron Giant".

  • Now if that's the swamp of depression makes you sink if your sad, why isn't atreu sinking with the horse?

  • @vancepar08 I think because he was focusing on not being sad while Artax an animal that's more intouch with the earth sinks.

  • in the never ending story the horse really did die. they couldnt save him and he died on the set. thats sad as hell. and just about a week ago i was at my grandparents house and i was watching the lion king with my younger cousin and when simba's dad died she asked me what happened to him. damn why are disney movies so sad?

  • Nah, I think saddest of all is the ending of All Dogs Go To Heaven. I don't know what I was expecting, I mean, you can tell from the title alone that it's not exactly going to be the most upbeat of movies, but DAMN, I was not expecting that! "Good bye, Charlie. I love you." "Yeah. I love you too." Thanks Don Bluth. Thank you so much for scarring me for life.

  • Great list...but for the record, I was fully prepared to boycott every future NC video if he left out Mufasa's death.

I didn't just cry about that. I was SCARRED by it. I watched that scene when I was four, and I refused to watch any other Disney movies for most of the next decade. All because THE FUCKERS KILLED OFF MUFASA.

  • yes the horse in never ending story did get me

  • You shouldn´t sub anything when every other word is wrong...

  • damn all this brings back good memories to a time when things where simple...

    childhood.

  • everyone says that the saddest kids momment was the death of cosmo, I cried of joy! I hated that character! the second time i watched it i couldn't help but laugh at espio's expression

  • hehe very nice. keep doing it :-)

  • The scene from Dumbo makes me tear up just thinking about it. SO SAD D':

  • old yeller R I P

  • Oh damnit! The clip at 5:15 of Kirk 's eulogy to Spock made my eyes start to water!!

  • NOT EVERY SINGLE GODDAMN DISNEY MOVIE! THIS WAS POINTLESS YOU PIECE OF RUST! ITS LIFE! THE LION KING

    LIONS DIE FOR GOD SAKES!

Alice in wonderland? Well... That was reasonable

Snow white? WHAT THE H#@$ SHE LIVED! Disney is normal!

  • @themegagamesgamer People die too, so I guess that means Hamlet isn't a tragedy. The point was that they were all sad scenes; the fact that they have happy endings is irrelevant. If a scene makes you cry, then its sad, period.

  • What about the death of light yagamis dad off of Death Note...

  • OOOOHH SHIIIT JESUS CHRIST!! FUCK YOU NOSTALGIAA CRITIC!!!!! everything was fine until that charlotte's web part came in and a FUCKING TARANTULA'S SHITTY FACE CLOSE UP APPEARED. JESUS CHRIST!!! seriously that really scared the shit out of me....i fucking hate spiders.....cant stand them..................god.

  • Bambi =(

  • Im with him on the disney movies!!!! HOW DARE THEY!!!!!! DISNEY'S SUPPOSED TO BE HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!! HOW DARE THOSE GOD DAMN BASTARDS DO THAT!!!!!

  • Godzilla's meltdown in Godzilla vs DESTROYAH!!! for me. Watching one my favorite giant monster dying in front of your eyes was heartbreaking for me when I was a kid.

  • In my opinion I cry everytime I watch my mother by chipmunks

  • I cried my eyes out the first time watching My Girl and even seeing it mentioned here makes me sad. Yet seeing a jump cut of Veda knocking down the hive to that Culkin kid waving his hands around makes me crack up with laughter.

  • OOOOOOOOOH GOOOOD SPOCK IS DEEEEEAAD!

  • #3 and #2 WERE sad as heck...

  • In my opinion Land Beofre time and disney were on par, although land before time beats some of them.

  • in dumbo when he was with his mom always did me in every time...im crying right now

  • Saddest scene in cartoon history was in Futurama !

When Fry's dog dies in the episode Jurassic Bark...

I was like... HOW THE DAMN A FUTURAMA EPISODES STOLE ME A TEAR !

  • @bloodyhoody2 Aw u remembered that episode. especially the ending... so sad ='(

  • @bloodyhoody2 that made me cry when the dog was just waITING AND WAITING UNTIL HE DIES!

  • @bloodyhoody2 YA THAT WAS SAD!!!!

  • @bloodyhoody2

I'm with you on that.I never saw it coming,I mean the Simpsons never made me cry and Futurama's made by the same guy.

  • @bloodyhoody2 i havent seen that one but to me the greatest scene is the end of the futurama movie i mean its like this

profeser: theres no knowing if we'll ever return

everyone:go go go go go go go go GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO!!!!!!!!

THEY GO INTO THE PORTAL AND THEN FUTURAMA SONG AWSOME

  • @bloodyhoody2 I know. I cried for like an hour after that epsiode. If only Fry knew! I need a moment.

  • @bloodyhoody2 I'm going disagree and say the scene from the Fox and the Hound, where the old lady it taking Tod to release him in the woods. I was closer to crying at that than any other cartoon I can remember! (It's actually really hard to make me sad enough to cry)

  • @PrisonerofReality Oh my god, yeah! *Sniffles* "Goodbye may seem forever, farewell is like the end..." *BAWL*

  • @bloodyhoody2 I cried my eyes out at that scene!!
