  • Obviously not as good as Dylan's 1966 shows, but still pretty good.

  • Alright assholes if you don't like the beatles. And say there talentless then why are they the most popular band and everyone knows of 'em and you beatles fans put there, don't be suck ups to those non beatles fans, and why are you looking at this anyways? So you can go listen to shit cause I'm listening to the beatles!

  • why does john sing day tripper here

  • parabens sou fã dos beatles foi bem em ter escolhido esse video!!!!

  • The Beatles were a poor live act, fans screaming or not.

  • @AppleSeedCrew They were rather poor by later standards, but that's because their equipment was garbage, they didn't have Marshall stacks to make the crowds' ears bleed. They also couldn't hear themselves because of the crowd, try to sing while you cant hear yourself, it's extremely difficult. They couldv'e been great if they had better stuff to work with

  • Its still just a noise..

  • Whole band is so high ^^. Still amazing

  • NOT ONE OF THEM COULD PLAY A GUITAR...JUST STUMERS THATS ALL...

  • @1bridlington its called rhythm guitar genious.

  • @1bridlington What the hell is a "STUMER" and is your caps lock stuck on?

  • @1bridlington let's see you do better.

  • day tripper の時のジョージのギターには何が起きていたのですか?

  • 2:28 Sad Ringo

  • That was the first time Ive ever seen Paul perform Yesterday while he was on his bass. Normally its just him and his acoustic. But it still sounded amazing <3

  • that's actually kinds funny about the mikes

  • 7:29 - Paul and George made a mistake, they sang 'she's in love with me' and it should be 'i'm in love with her' like sang John. and John amused looked at Paul and George, but they didn't notice their mistake. this's so cute. <3

  • how come ringo never look happy

  • What remains vivid color footage of the VCR is a Beatles concert in the historic property and visual heritage,

Now, This has been treated as a valuable enough to keep the color original master control the Apple Coreps Ltd.

  • I feel like johns mic and guitar was way too loud!

  • thanks for posting--the fans were more quiet--we can hear! love these boys--what a gift

  • I love when George says "ummm" its so amazing!

  • stop that electric noise!!! ha ha ha

  • 5:00 John's a boss

  • 当時、生で見に行けた事にマジで感動。クソやばかった!

  • 7:35 "I'm in love with me and I feel fine" Paul says. John gives him a look.

  • @dollar12 i noticed that too

  • @dollar12 That's funny.

  • @dollar12 I thought John was singing the wrong lyrics, and laughing at himself...he has a lower voice. :)

  • @dollar12 i was gonna write the same post until i saw yours up there.pretty funny.

  • @dollar12 No, Paul and Harrison both said "She's in love with me and I feel fine.". John has the deeper voice, he's the one who said,"I'm in love me..." stopping mid sentence.

  • @dollar12

Incorrect, John sings the wrong lyric and looks over at the other two, who where singing the correct lyric. Probably looked over trying to catch one of the others' eye for a laugh.

  • Those microphones, Japs sabotaged them to move around fearing The Beatles were a bad influence.

  • @bloodnokian hey D-Bag! we "Japs" didnt sabotage anything asshole

  • Beatles wasn`t good live act, because John had stage fright and George didn´t like touring. And this video Ringo looks really tired. Only Paul loved doing lives but he enjoyed studio work too so giving up touring wasn`t problem at all.

  • It took me sooo LONG.. to fiind out, and i found out., Hurumph..

  • Well I think they did a terrific job at this concert. I think they were getting burned out touring by this time, and it kind of shows. Their songs were gettng complicated and difficult to do live.

  • @MrMike3865 Their songs were never complicated haha. I love the Beatles man but they have simple music haha I have seen much more complex music performed live many times

  • @hat6036 Really? The music became much more complicated with all the studio enhancement starting with the Sgt Pepper's album. Much harder to reproduce live. In addition they were burned out by tourning...

  • @MrMike3865 Yeah, I agree, it did get more complex. However, most if not all of it could be reproduced live. And anyway, they didn't have to play the songs that couldn't be reproduced live.

  • Good old days..... I was 2 years old baby

  • Since the Beatles conquered Asia in 1966, I wonder who will be the first Rock and Roll Group to conquer Libya, Northern Africa and the Middle East?

  • 19 people prefer the rolling stones.

  • George appeared to be having technical difficulties with his amp or guitar in the beginning. The deal with this appearance in Japan was that the Beatles were not used to being heard so clearly, but the authorities clamped down on the audience and they had to be pretty reserved or would be thrown out (the audience member, not the B's) So anyway, their skills in playing live had slipped as is quite evident in this video. It's no wonder they quit touring after Candlestick Park, San Fran concert.

  • its time the Beatles called it a day and split

  • @hamster700

    Die

  • I love the album version of yesterday but i wish they would have recorded this version too

  • Lol at 0:25 George coming from nowhere:-)

  • That mic doesn't cooperate. It seemed to have a mind of its own.

  • BEATLES YOU ARE THE BEST !!!!!

  • these boys too look too impressed being in Japan

  • At the begining, it almost hurts to hear them play day tripper, because of how slow their playing

  • they were barley turning into hippies then .

  • Uggh! cut off Yesterday. I have the bootleg record of this

  • They were playing to the crowd they could finaly hear each other.

  • 17 people don't know what good music is!!

  • What ODD chords are John Playing?

I'd like to learn it :P

  • I love the Beatles... I really love them. But oh what a terrible sound.... just watch Ringo's expression, he knows what I mean.

  • I missed my dad! He loves this song very much!!

  • I missed my dad! He loves this song very much!!

  • ''Im in love with me, and I feel fine'' XD

  • thats the way to play great!

  • you have to remember that they were used to not hearing a word they were singing because of the crowd noise, also by this point the only one of them that wanted to tour was Paul. You can see so clearly that the other three are just not into it, even though all four of them have said subsequently that the tours through Japan were some of their best and favorite.

  • ringo looks like he is going to throw up at 2:30

  • The mic is hilarious

  • 7:29 ended up being:

''Im in love with me, and I feel fine''.

  • 2:04 so we can tell at least George is stoned

  • andaban mal los microfonos de japon porque veo que es el unico concierto que tubieron los beatles que se escuchaba para el orto y desafinaba ¬¬

  • its obvious they are dog tired in this show.... prob glad to stop touring

  • Ringo's face looks like, "it's so boring..."

  • 0:23 George just pops out of nowhere lol

  • they have a hard time hearing themselves!! lol

  • 0:25 i luv how george runs onto the stage like ,"oh sh**"

  • at 5:34 i love how he says i feel fine xD like he is answering to some one that he is fine but he really isn't xDDDD

  • Great show and greatest band. it pretty obvious to see they are either really tired or stoned. still the greatest band in the history of music hands down.

  • $5 a ticket. yeah i'd pay that to see them live back then,

  • aun que fue una de las peores actuaciones de los beatles..como ellos mismo dijeron....nunk se podra olvidar esa gran actuacion

  • please look at paul, when george stands beside him to sing.... he lost a tooth in a motorcycle accident, not in his supposed dead in his aston martin in november of 1966

  • it's the mic.

japanese can't fix a mic with their tech.

  • @MrAction21 Japanese technology just started to improve those days.

Doc Brown (1955): "No wonder this circuit failed, it says made in Japan.

Marty McFly: "What do you mean, Doc, all the best stuff is made in Japan.

    Doc: "Unbelievable."

  • haha yeah

  • God John you're so fucking sexy...

  • the beatles=the legendary musicmaker

  • PRICELESS GENIUS

  • ジョージすごい。

    ソロ弾きながらコーラスしてる

  • @starlessons Rock and Roll Music.

  • @CustomSongCharter Well, if you were talking about the concert instead of the video itself. :P

  • @starlessons se llama.- Day Tripper

  • 疲れてるね やる気もなさそう テンポをおとしてるし でもかっこいいね

  • 日本公演なのに日本人の書き込みがないぞ~

  • Incredible, i never had seen this bevor. thanks for posting. i still could see The Beatles live!!!

  • They don't look that enthusiastic here.

they seem to play the songs slower than they did on the records

I love the beatles though :)

  • ringo rules

  • I love the version of Yesterday with all of them playing. I have a version that is just Paul and his acoustic before any orchestral overdubs.

  • Makes me wish they had done a tour when the technology finally caught up with them. Better amps, monitors, would have made a huge difference. Not just death threats and safety, but in Manila they were almost arrested for "snubbing" Imelda Marcos. That really was the turning point for them. The idea behind the Get Back sessions later to become Let It Be was to rehearse new songs, and then hire an ocean liner and perform live for the passengers. Sadly that never happened.

  • HOLY CRAP pauls tooth lol he was in a car accident or something I think hessss soooo hotttttt even now he's not that bad looking exept he has a mullet so that really kills the look...

  • Japan TV did a great job filming this and in color, which in 1966 was great. Too bad they did not film more of their concerts. You can kind of tell the Beatles are getting worn out from touring.

  • The Beatles ... the best rock band of all time ... there will never be another like it ... thanks for your music and talent brought us unlimited fun ..

  • @beetle2014 : ROCK?...... rather POP!

  • please explain me someone why at this era was more dificult to be good at lives, what can do technology in todays lives?

  • @kaisariani Quite simple - Monitors. Back before the late 60s/early 70s there were no speakers for the band to be able to hear themselves properly. Vocals in particular were hard to get right, that's what blows my mind about most 60s bands with 2-4 part vocal harmonies - they were pitching without being able to hear themselves.

  • thanks

  • Just listen to John and George singing "Frere Jacques" in the backing of paperback writer!!!

  • jeez, could someone fix paul's mike!

it keeps getting away from him!!

  • Real songwriters/ singers without the benefit of digital sound engineering during their era . . . Kudos!

  • The Beatles Rock!

  • @TheColts99 A Men

  • @TheColts99 No truer words were ever written

  • they must of been so druged up that was absolutely terrible..

  • the reason why was that they were so tired of doing tours that they were just plain old bored

  • They were disappointed at not being able to grow musically on stage because they couldn't hear what they were doing for all the screaming. Also, By 1966 they started getting death threats and safety became a big issue. Paul was the hold out - he always enjoyed touring but finally had to agree with the others to pull the plug. Sad for all of us.

  • @startledmonkey Actually their last tour Which was in the phillipines they got mobbed for not playing for the queen there only day off in like 5 months. they tried flying away but the phillipino people broke bones literally. They were definitely brave but they werent bored

  • @startledmonkey They sure sound bored.

  • @startledmonkey can you imagine at the time in their life how much fun it all was , fans in all

    would you be bored ?

  • @startledmonkey Is it fact? Did you ask all four of them that question? No? Thought so.

  • @startledmonkey

Paul was really happy, when the others were miserable. He loved tours :D

  • @startledmonkey they stopped touring because they were forced to stay in the studio because of Faul. This is the real Paul Mccartney 1966 is the year he died and was replaced- they didn't tour after that.

  • @Auus47 There are numerous reasons why the Beatles stopped touring and yours is not one of them. They couldn't hear themselves on stage; fans never stopped screaming, amps were terrible. They hated being on the road constantly and they couldn't play the songs they liked. And your also forgetting that this was the year John's "Beatles are bigger than Jesus" comment came out and they started getting death threats and then there was the Philippines tour after that and it was horrid.

  • @brittnaynichhole Seriously? look at any footage of "Paul" after this time period (1966) and he looks different, now lets go back a little bit they had been touring for the last seven or eight years together, they were a group who could play all their songs, after 1966 they started making more funky and crazier music "that couldn't be replicated on stage." your reasoning is legit, but there is an added aspect that you are overlooking and everyone else has been too for many years. Paul is Dead.

  • @Auus47 We can argue about this "Paul is Dead" thing all day but I just don't feel like doing that. I'll stick with he's alive and you can believe whatever you want.

  • @Auus47 Paul isn't dead. shush.

  • @Auus47 I hope you're fucking kidding about the Paul is dead thing. Because if you're not, you're a fucking dumb shit

  • @startledmonkey No... The KKK scared them cuz of John's Jesus comment. They were gonna start a riot at the show and they didn't want anymore of it.

  • @startledmonkey No. They said they can't hear themselves among the screaming crowd. Therefore they couldn't improve. They decided to do studio recording and releasing them instead. They love what they do so boredom is not the reason.

  • love how george and paul had problems with the mic,

    and john doesnt haha

  • ringo looks really bored

  • @yrrebhsuk lol he always looks like that

  • is john acually doing anything during yesterday? i can hear pauls base, i can hear georges rhythm but although i can see john strumming away im not sure he is actually playing??

  • what was george doing during one of his little guitar fills on i feel fine???

  • why didn't they use 3 mics ? never understood that ...

  • No foldback monitors. They couldn't really hear what they were singing, so if Paul and George stood together there was more chance to get the harmony singing in tune.

  • splitting a gut watching Paul's microphone spin as the stage vibrates...with a the crap they had to put up with in Jpn, this probably one of the few gigs where they could hear themselves.

  • everything was weird about this song. the tempo, singing, and playing. this song is awesome though.

  • not sarcastic.

  • be happy,it's so lucky because you ARE be able to watch a video.apprecite the uploader.

  • Lo mejor del mundo!

  • Was The very last live in 1966?wasn't it in 1969 in a rooftop in New York.maybe I've got to re-check again...omg....

  • Last official tour show was Candlestick Park, San Francisco on August 29, 1966 with the sam setlet as Japan except for McCartney closed the show with "Long Tall Sally" instead of "I'm Down"

The Bealtes performed live on the studio roof top in London, England on January 1969

  • Flaboo19 thanks for your understanding.

  • atleast John Lennon and other members loved Japan since their first visit,Paul learnet Japanese country songs from people and ran away from the hotel and walked the garden around the castle and loved there. Flaboo19,is this some sort of racizm you have or what.

  • C´mon, you can´t be serious. The last ever live performance of the Beatles was the rooftop concert on 30th January 1969 in Savile Row, London. Somethings going wrong with your University... Who told you that? I really want to know!!!!

  • yea flaboo19 said LAST TOUR SHOW was candlestick park, which he is corerect. but the beatles gave an UNANOUNCED performance on top of apple studios in 1969, ur both right

  • @Flaboo19 I guessing you didn't get a good grade in that class

  • R.I.P John.

    on Dec.8th.

    it's been 29 years.

    sleep tight...

  • sweet, japan had colour tv

  • Fantastic group and music. I have enjoyed

    all their songs.

  • I love UK.I still have friends here and there, too.

  • born in the 80's and i love em

  • You know what I dont understand, In an interview Yoko said she never knew who John Lennon was til she met him, but judging by the obvious popularity in the western world as well as the east it looks as though she was lying.

  • In the begining when they close up on paul in george you can see paul's tooth is chipped. At least I think it is. I'm guessing this was just after his car accident. Which proves this is the true Paul :D

  • cool,LoadUpOnGunz. I dont know which movie you saw before this one,but you have got a good taste.(^o^)/

  • Great raw performance :)

  • and we,all generations love The Beatles.I was born in 70s,but I love them.

  • I was born in the 90's nd i love em :)

  • and the films were expensive for Japanese at the time.they used to buy and use 22mm films for the most TV programs and dub new shows after they on air the show.but for the Beatles live, they bought 36mm,I thought from the US.every items weren't that too perfect, but they made ready for their best to offer the Beatles.this still looks better for 43 yrs.ago to me.

  • they just hardly even hear the instruments and other vocals besides of his own vocal during the concerts.I heard it was just like they wore huge headfone, can't hear nothing because of the audience.

  • Hey Folks! THIS IS STILL THE BEST BAND ALL OVER THE WORLD - because of the sound: this was recorded more than 40 years ago! By the way: The music of John, Paul, George an Ringo will be played as long as the earth will be!!!

  • the entire audio track is running slow and a semi-tone down in pitch! ..probable frame mis-match

  • No, they are just tuned down a half-step.

  • im surprised at that too , do you know more about this?

Ive watched every live clip i can find, and this is a first

  • In the other gig that they played here, when they're wearing the cream striped jackets, they are tuned standard. This is the first concert I've found that they were tuned down a halfstep.

  • yeah, i noticed that too, you gotta admit it is quite odd. Presumably they were using a tuning fork on the road? thats all their would have been available so a half step down would have been to save their voices perhaps

  • the tempo is also down ....its a mystery all round to me ivr listenened to every crumb of beatles available and i never heard them detune ever ,,ever im convinced the whole thing is running slow

  • Or they are just tired of playing live altogether

  • i hate to say it worst version of day tripper ever

  • bcause its live music

  • why do thier guitars sound wierd?

  • you can't hear george's guitar very well

  • とてもかっこいいです

    ビートルズ!
