I'm a soul fan and the best nights are when the floor is full and everyone knows who can move and they don't need some cheap trinket to prove it. Pack the dance floor with soul lovers not huge gaps and crappy atmosphere killing ponce- offs. KTF
The lad with the curly hair is Liam - Off Paul O'Grady , d'j's too...nifty spinner!!! Catch the start - left hand corner - middle screen....the wooden man in Black vest comes a cropper....hahhahhaa tries to cover it up way way too much.......must have really dented his ego!

You even made a post praising yourself and calling yourself an old school northern dancer (ha). You can dance but not northern. Northern dancing is a certain style but with variations. No one is jealous of you! Get over yourself. It's not personal - people like to comment on the dancing that is all.
i have a differant unique style compared to everyone else. no one can match it.some of you have nasty comments and it puts people off returning to blackpool. If its gonna stir up every time then there shouldnt be a competition at all. your just jelous n have no clue. i can guarantee it wasnt a fix. you make me laugh believing it was.ha.by the look of things northern soul was freestyle moves of your own choice. no set style. everyone is different!!!
I am certain the Guy in the Red Fred Perry top at Blackpool is the Irish Guy in the Duffy video but dancing in the white top on the video, He sure is Northern Soul dancing at its best,
I havent seen northern soul since the 70s ...but some of it was very strange ...I have just seen another link and they were break dancing...northern soul was all about light footmoves...just been watching duffy ...wow

Thank God the dance ref told the blonde in the fright wig and polka dress to leave the floor. What was she thinking? I laughed for about 15 minutes after this. I had to keep looking. it was like a car crash effect. Riverdance gone horribly wrong.
Was the girl in the flowery skirt bonny langford?I was there on the sat night,great venue but i thought the djs killed it on the sat night my 3 year old lad could have played better sounds. The lad in the red fred perry won it for me,the judges must have had more gear than i had!!keep the faith xx

The guy in the maroon Fred Perry doing a spin 'in my opinion' should have been in the top two, he danced traditional northern soul. Great weekend, great people and fantastic music.
Total agree with u Trevor he should have been at least in the last two. However the judgeing was a bit of a shambles with 11 in the last 8 and then 5 in the last 4. Still what a Fantastic Weekend and cant wait for 2008.

It is the guy in the Duffy vid. He is a dj from Manchester. Used to do a Soul night at Manchester Met Uni. He is the best dancer for me as well.

I havent seen northern soul since the 70s ...but some of it was very strange ...I have just seen another link and they were break dancing...northern soul was all about light footmoves...just been watching duffy ...wow
