  • Yes. The speakers are directly connected to the sub with XLR Cables and the mac to the sub with a 3.5mm Male To (2) RCA Stereo Audio Cable...

  • you're running the cables directly to the mac without a special sound-card or an amplifier?

  • you know they're good speakers when you mistake the audio for intro music

  • how are you hooking up the speakers to the laptop, are you using an audio interface?

  • Nice video, good music

  • I think this guy sold his whole room to afford these speakers....

  • i have a ? do u have to have a cross over or something for the sub to be hooked up proper

  • i have the rockit 8 and i gotta say it lacks a bit on the bass

  • i dont understand why people do buy such a great speakers and pair it with such a fag-ish mac

  • @flinia Because we have more $ than you, that's why!

  • @Gamebanga yes, maybe you have, but mac is still for fags.

  • @flinia at least 85% of every media sound you hear in daily life was mixed, edited and sequenced on an apple computer.

  • @weatherkop sooooo ??? my alienware is faster than any mac available, and steve jobs was a fucking retard who invited imacs becouse community is getting more stiupid over years. it is like steve jobs would say '' i will design you a friendly imac for you dumbass people, but you have to pay extra for it''

and you will buy it, oh yeah, becouse youre a dumbass douche !

  • @flinia You sound like an intelligent mild mannered person to me. Have fun on your alienware playing games and sending hate messages.

  • @weatherkop it is only a flustration driven by SJ dumbass ideas that people buy with smile on their faces. Oh yeah i forgot, R.I.P SJ

  • @flinia mac and windows arent really competing at all. Their users use them for very different reasons. I like AdobeCS5 and music editing software. Windows systems are for gaming and programming. It's all about the intent.

  • You listen to girls' music. :P

  • how is the audio quality on mp3's?

  • woah you got that huge sub too. don't the 8 inch woofers produce enough bass?

  • I hope your laptop has an SSD, otherwise putting it on top of a sub will KILL your harddrive....!

  • whats the song @ 6:00 ??

  • @555Martini555

    Bodi Bill - Traffic Jam

  • i want that same set as you with the subwoofer and can you tell me how to put a subwoofer on the two main speakers?

  • hi guys i found this speakers with free shipping for just $229.99.99 in getthesound.c.o.m brand new

  • Wao !! beautiful

  • track id 1.30??? plis

  • LOL! wtf? laptop over the subwoofer? willing to fuck up the hard drives or worse?

  • Although these are great monitors, not sure they are intended for hi-fi like purposes like you have them. I suspect you're just fascinated with what you've created rather than really setting up something for critical listening of focused listening. Yeah, right, eBay bidders...okay... you know you still have this setup.

  • @wendileona Its ea$y to make a hi-fi setup with true monitor speackers... They have a thrutfully audio response... And they will reproduce in the best way what you put on they... Even colored eqs... A Harman audio setup costs like 2000 dolares for good hifi... A krk or maudio will do the same for half the price... You just need a good eq and a mixer.

  • hey man.. im looking into buying stands for my rokit 8's and these you have look pretty good... what kind of studio stand's were you using for the rokit's ?

  • QuikLok Bs-300, enjoy!

  • I'm currently in the same boat as MrSwapp2. Are your R8's fixed to those stands in any way? Are the quickloks sturdy with that weight, on a wooden floor?

I'm actually getting a pair of R6's, but these seem to be the only affordable option for adjustable stands...

  • Never put your laptop on top of a subwoofer - it will kill your harddrive.

  • do u know waht external soundcard he use here?

  • @RykerBasil If you get an ssd drive = haters gonna hate.

  • I use this same set up in my studio, the sub actually sounds much better in the corner of the room and not in the middle. my mixes didn't sound too hot till my mentor came over and had me push that sub into to corner of the room and it was like magic....best money I've spent. the 8's are so flat and that sub is way ghetto. I mix with the sub off and I wait till clients come in and I shake the the room till I'm counting more cash...LOL

  • This set up was just an example for eBay bidders; after my music projekt was over, I took the Rokit from the studio to my flat and I sold it...

  • @rokkettscience Bad bad bad, money should not be your motivation ;p

  • The room is killing the real beauty of the speakers. It's akin to driving a ferrari through mud!!

  • @AshleyBellamy dont forget about the music thats travelling through them. it's akin to putting a dirty ugly cock in a nice little pink pussy.

  • @AshleyBellamy fuck. then he goes and plays "hey you" from my favorite band. i take that all back.

  • @AshleyBellamy agreed, its pretty much empty and you can hear the reverb and echo

  • why did you use XLR connection? Is it same as 1/4 TRS?

  • These are studio monitors with Flat response, the sub takes care of the lower 20Hz ranges.. but there won't be any COLOURING of tone in those speakers... It does sound good, but I'm sure a set of PARADIGM STEREO speakers would be best for a home stereo instead of these.

    My two cents..

  • @robdrums69 Thats the dilemna, I know once you hear these that you may end up using them as computer or home speakers, but really they are made for mixing and getting used to as say an engineer or producer. You'd have to stick with them and I agree, I own Paradigms and they blow these away in terms of a fuller sound and usage in home or listening room environments.

  • @wendileona true, but i think sometimes coloration from speakers leads to an untrue image.... the people who mixed and mastered the records we listen to worked really hard to make them sound that way.

and most people destroy that with their own post eqing and over-colored speaker response.

i think monitors provide the most true response and more people should learn to listen from monitors and not from those crappy bose ipod dock things. lol

  • @Buhzie15 I produce some music, and, I always try to make the sound more flat as possible just because I know some kid will put the bass at 18db more than necessary... Thats why many producer (the gus from sony music) make his music "without salt" just because today we expect that the system that will reproduce the song will have a lot of things like "vgroove""incredible surround sound","mega bass","super bass". So its not a crime put 6db to bass take -2db from mid and put more 2db for highs.

  • @wendileona my friend designs paradigims, they are trully kick ass.

  • fuck it sunds so goooood . i tho my z-5500 is good but when i hear this speakers on YOUTUBE no compare..btw i got a question . Do u know if these speakers are good for house music ? i mean if the bass is powerfull . to feel it . how much W does ur subwoofer got ?

  • @blacksound22 I think the sub is 225w

  • these speakers are nearfield monitors, they are very powerful, but they are made to work better at +/- 85dB.

The sub have 150W RMS/225W Peak and can reach 113dB Peak playing music.

  • QuikLok Bs-300

  • grazie

  • ehy man where did you get those stands?

  • atacama stands are nicer imo

  • whose first song

  • alicia keys - go ahead

  • Thanks =))

  • I have the m-audio firewire what would i need to connect to the speakers

  • yeah, that room does sound like shit.

  • worst reverb in that room

  • that room sounds soooo Nasty.

you should buy some Sound treatment.

  • no furnishing, or curtains i suppose.. must be a new room considering the laptop is on the sub. but still go go paddings!

  • @whitestaa Your right, but its not really necessary for more casual users.

  • what you on about?

  • what did you use to plug them into your mac

  • Do the RP8s come with leads to connect them to my Audio Interface. I.e. xlr leads or 1/4' TRS or Jack. Thanks, Ben

  • no you dont get any Audio Cables with them, Just a Kettle Plug for the Power.

  • Has anyone heard BX5a ,s or Wharfedale 8.1 proactive. Its for someone starting out , 16yr old so budget slightly lower lol

  • nice setup man! a friend of mine has the monitors, they're so sick. no video could...display how good they sound!

btw, i see you're putting your laptop on top of your woofer, that's not necessarily good for the HD, just so you know!

  • Clean Studio... I got a question: I'm gonna get the KRK RP6 G2. Do I need some specific audio interface to connect them or only the sound card plug of my pc would be fine? Thanks in advance

  • i wouldn't waste money on the 6's just spend a little more and go for the 8's they give such a cleaner sound

  • yes, in this case I would. I thought it was just about the power output, but if there is also a difference about quality, it's worthed to get the 8's instead than the 6's. Thanks for the advice

  • i think if you want to get the best out of these speakers you might as well get a decent soundcard but your computer's soundcard would work too :)

  • thanks man, I was waiting for this answer

  • Sounds very transparent and the sub fits in seamlessly too. U might want to keep that door locked tho..

  • the Sound was really good.

I used the Rokit for a Musik-Projekt in a Studio and that set-up in my flat was just to take some Pics for Ebay...

  • Very nice set up and a very nice clean room!

I have the KRK RP6 Speakers. Love them, but I need some more bass!

  • Nice Audio Setup M8!

Have those krk speakers and sub to!

THE best speakers for in the studio! :D

  • Die Rokit wurden im Studio für ein Musik-Projekt verwendet; das Setup in meiner Wohnung diente nur als Beispiel als ich sie über Ebay verkauft hatte...

  • does anybody know what kind of cable did he use to connect krk subwoofer with his macbook pro?? thanks

  • i think he's going 1/8th to dual rca i think you get a better sound quality using an audio interface though

  • He was hast du für das Setup bezahlt?

  • Excellent sound quality . i heard these in a local shop about 3 hrs ago.. take delivery of mine in 2 days. i took my roland sound expander along and heard sounds coming from these that i never heard before .. even over you tube live the sound is prob the best ive heard out of 5000 plus videos i watched.. this video made me say YES im having these ! thanks for the upload fabriziosbroadcast
