What people fail to realize is that other systems are, according to them, "becoming kiddie" but they don't know that because they are so busy bashing the Wii. Yes there are little kids who shouldn't be playing M-Rated Xbox 360 and PS3 games. However, there are "kiddie games" on the PS3 and 360. Super Rub 'a' Dub and Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster to name a couple.
Hardcore gamers are the gamers that have been playing for a long time and have a strong dedication and strong memories while playing. I started with the nes and ever since loved video games. I play all kinds, racing, all kinds of rpgs, platformers, shooters, w/e! I've played it all and love video games. I fucking love Nintendo because they got me into it and I support them. I also love my PlayStation I got the ps1 and didn't care which was better why? Cuz I'm a real gamer.
This casual vs hardcore stuff is so silly! I loved the hell out of Wii Sports Resort! I bought that game retail and I'm glad I did. But I also play Zelda, Metroid, and Monster Hunter. Games are a form of entertainment. Period. No matter what the story or the box art looks like they are all just games

Hey what do you think of the wii u? I thought it has a solid line up. The only problem I might have is the controller. The concept is good but like the gameplay for Killer freaks from outer space, it seemed a little bit hard to control.

When people say a game is kiddy, they don't completely mean that the game caters to kids. They mean it was developed with what a stereotypical kid would enjoy playing, and they develop it so that a stereotypical kid will enjoy it more than an adult. You have no idea how many times I had to listen to this bullc*** back in elementary school and even middle school. Now it's fine. I just couldn't get myself to boycott games like Mario, Spyro and Crash Bandicoot because I had liked those kind of games since day 1.
What I think is even worse is when parents tell their kids they have to stop gaming completely when they get to around 20 years old, because it's "childish" and not something grown-ups does or should spend their time or money on.
Man...when the Wii came out, it wasn't with the theory of youth under a certain age, getting their hands on mature rated material. So the angle of kids on both XBL & PSN is flawed, because kids are not being monitored by parents. It's funny that you mentioned people want some games from the Wii on other consoles. The best example is GoldenEye 007. It was a Wii exclusive for at least a year. A lot of people were jealous it was a Wii exclusive and wanted it on the PS3 and 360. Their wish was granted with GoldenEye 007 Reloaded.
I think the reason they want those Wii games on their system is due to an anti-Nintendo conspiracy. They feel the Wii doesn't deserve any good games period and claim they deserve those games on their consoles more like the selfish fucks they are.
I'm convinced that's the case at this point. I refuse to believe MadWorld and Muramasa sold poorly simply because of the "casual" crowd alone. They cannot be that big.

When people say a game is kiddy, they don't completely mean that the game caters to kids. You have no idea how many times I had to listen to this bullc*** back in elementary school and even middle school. Now it's fine. I just couldn't get myself to boycott games like Mario, Spyro and Crash Bandicoot because I had liked those kind of games since day 1.
What I think is even worse is when parents tell their kids they have to stop gaming completely when they get to around 20 years old, because it's "childish" and not something grown-ups does or should spend their time or money on.

It's funny that you mentioned people want some games from the Wii on other consoles. The best example is GoldenEye 007. It was a Wii exclusive for at least a year. I think the reason they want those Wii games on their system is due to an anti-Nintendo conspiracy. They feel the Wii doesn't deserve any good games period and claim they deserve those games on their consoles more like the selfish fucks they are.
I'm convinced that's the case at this point. I refuse to believe MadWorld and Muramasa sold poorly simply because of the "casual" crowd alone. They cannot be that big.
