Also, please do keep talking about disney! Its the closest I can get to going there is by a) going to the disney store and staying in there for a half hour (has happened) and b) talking incessantly/watching youtube about disney. WHY IS IT SO EXPENSIVE!? :(

Ok so I remember going to Disney World around the start of the Fast Pass system. When I go to Disney World (Which hasnt been in YEARS... Disneyland has been longer DD:) I watch the information channel where you can learn useful info about the parks. They were really hyping around that time (which was just before 5th grade for me) the fast pass system because it was brand new... and they were saying how it was new and stuff. I also went to the parks before it was implemented so... not forever! :D

It'll make it impossible to get on any ride that isn't booked in advance... :(. Also, if you do anything out of schedule (go to the bathroom, lose someone in your group and look for them, lag behind, or get lost), it will mess up your whole day!

So I was wondering what Disney College actually is. Do they teach the same classes as college? And what majors/minors would benefit working at Disny World/Land?

@yoyayoya101 You take fewer classes than at a real college because you are also working. I don't think it necessarily has to relate to a major, it is just good experience. Working with Disney looks really impressive on a resume. You meet a lot of people though, who work at Disney, and it could benefit a variety of interests I'm sure.

I don't know about the new system. It does sound nice but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to let people cut others in restaurants. Some people are al ittle on edge when they're hungry. They may do it differenty though which may make it more acceptable.

@outsidergirl I don't think that the program has to have anything in common with your major. It's just a good experience! BUT you do meet with lots of heads of divisions at Disney and, who knows, there might be some important film people there that would fit in with your screenwriting dream. A lot of people go abroad to places that have nothing to do with their major, so why not do this? You definitely should!

I'm not sure I like this new fast pass system, it seems a little controlling and less about what makes disney fun! Part of going to a theme park is enjoying what's around you and meandering through all of the exciting stops, not rushing to get to your next pre-planned activity. I'm more a fan of the old fast pass system, still allowing maximum meandering!

The reason you feel that it's been around forever is because it happened prior to your turning 14. There's a theory that up until that age technologies and concepts can become normalised and feel natural quicker than later in life. Hence you don't question the existence of fastpass since it has existed since your childhood .

Do they have one in Disneyland, then? The only DC program I ever bothered to research was the one in Disney World.

@KarlSolenoidIV Yes, they have it in Anaheim and Orlando. You don't have to take time off to do it, you get college credit during the program that you transfer over when you are done! You should totally apply!
