  • This looks delicious! I've never tried fettucini Alfredo with mushrooms, I might add it to my dish next time. As for the people who are commenting that this is not how you make fettucini Alfredo stop being so small minded!! People cook and add ingredients to suit there taste. How boring would it be if everyone cooked the same!

  • Wrong wrong wrong wrong. Not even remotely right. Here's Alfredo sauce: 2 cups of cream, 1 stick of butter, 1 cup of REAL parmigianno, not that sawdust you used, and cracked black pepper. No mushrooms, no tomatoes, no garlic. You overcooked the shrimp by about 15 minutes too. Shrimp takes about 30 seconds a side. You literally boiled it to death. You wasted about 15 bucks worth of ingredients.

  • @popstar4ever246 Fetticini Alfredo is a very specific dish. And when you don't make it the way you're supposed to, it's not Fetticini Alfredo any more. If I were upset, I would have sworn about it, which I did not. My complaint is his poor technique, and waste of food on a meal that was completely ruined. If you're used to eating frozen dinners and canned food, this might be delicious to you. But as a professional cook, this was a train wreck.

  • It's no longer fettucini alfredo after youve put all that "stuff" in it. you should call it like creamed shrimp and vegetables pasta or somethin.

  • ya i find that if ou put chicken sometimes the chicken may be slightly burnt and also it absorbs most of the flavour. maybe as a comepletly different side dish is maybe ok but not in the pasta at all.

    Shrimp does for sure taste better

  • @nicoleprovenzali Alfredo isn't Italian. It's an Americanized version of an Italian classic dish. Very different from Italian panna. VERY DIFFERENT.

  • made this recipe tonight. definitely don't keep the meat in the whole cooking time, it will get rock hard. what i did was put some chicken breast (cubed) in at the start, added the garlic, then i removed it when it was all white on the outside and the garlic was done. then i added the wine and butter, then added the cream, tomatoes and put the chicken back in to finish. then cheese last. the tomatoes may cause a sour flavor, use a tiny bit of baking soda to get rid of it (trust me this works!)

  • This is NOT Fettucini Alfredo. The original Alfredo is only Parmeggiano Reggiano, butter (burro) and the water where the pasta was cooked in.

  • Shrimp only take a couple minutes to cook... why do you start with the shrimp? It seems like they'd get tough...

  • @Warlock67 because he used the shrimp for flavoring to the sauce, so he had to make it first.

  • @Warlock67 believe me, try cook some shrimp and fry it for 10 minutes, they are not that tough as you think, its still chewable.

  • it's called whipping cream, in liquid form, like a 35% one. Look in your dairy section, where the milk are. Just a cream used for coffee can also be used for food
