You know they actually had a list of the top 10 front ment in rock history and... not suprisingly Plant was #1 on their list. Mercury was #2... both incredible vocals. Damn, that's not why I wanted to comment on this though... DID YOU SEE BONHAM? The music that they produced from about Houses Of The Holy onwards got progressively heavier and more complex from a drumming standpoint and Bonham didn't just step up to the plate, he hit a grand slam! Rock on!
ever notice how when Zep songs are posted under there real names here they get taken down instanly because of legal issues? These boots wouldn't stand a chance unless they were put under discreet names to avoid the radar. That's my theory as to why any way, but I could be wrong.
they were called the "Nobs" during their legal disputes with the Zeppelin heirs. Other names they thought of using were the Cabbages and the Carrots!!
well i know you commented forever ago but they had a reputation for rowdy concerts and destroying stuff, so they would go under the title of the nobs (refering to a certain physical feature) and then they would play, how the people who let them play there never caught on idk lol but read the book called Hammer of the Gods it's all about zepp. it''s amazzing
My favorite version of "Walkin In The Park" that I have found. I haven't heard that many live versions. Maybe 5 total. But this one has to be the best!
Stopping by to hear my favorite version of "Walking in the Park." Bonham nearly knocks holes in his drums from hitting the fuckers so hard and Page's solo, the main one, adds a nice touch to it towards the end.
Bonzo is fucking great! I say to people who don't know much about Led Zeppelin,"Yeah. They called it quits after John Bonham died." And they say,"Couldn't they have just replaced him? Drummers are replacable." And I'd say,"Not John Henry Bonham!"
You said it! Those are the same people who are foaming at the mouth about them possibly getting back together and touring with Jason Bonham. I say, "It's not Led Zeppelin!" It's 3/4 of Zeppelin. Jason is good and he learned from the best, but he's not as good as his dad. Never will be.
Well, very true. Still, I'd like to see the original members reform and go on tour. No, it wouldn't be the 100% Led Zeppelin we all love and charish. No one can top John Bonham on drums. But them reforming will be the closest thing to Led Zeppelin. And to me that's better than nothing.
@acidtones1 No drumme ron the face of this earth in the past or future, will ever be as good as Bonham was. He could play just as good if he was sober or more drunk than the drunkest man or woman you could ever encounter. In saying that, this whole Band will never be matched.
lets see. bass,guitar,12 string, recorder, keyboards, bass pedal,8 string bass, mandolin, cello, and more i'm not aware of. rock on jonsey! plus hes aged the best out of the surviving members
On this version, everything is perfect(to me),but the electronic backing vocals...It's a pity, nobody in the band could sings backings vocals with Percy!
Gotta' love this shit!

My dream is to one day play like Bonzo...
I wish I was alive when The Nobs were still together :P
Still a huge fan that knows so much about 'em.

Man, Bonzo is sure beaten the living shit out of those drums on this. Robert was always such a natural with the audience. Best front man ever IMO.

Dang, I prefer when Pagey just BUSTS out a solo right after they end to start since i've been loving you :) Especially the MSG73 version =]

Love the different sort of angle to the view of them playing this one. Get a better view of Bonzo's playing too. Love it.

This may be the best performance I've seen of this song. Bonzo really shined.

I saw the outfit bonzo's wearing up for sale in a auction 10 years ago. Mick fleetwood was selling it. I'd beat my grandma down for that shit.

Hell yeah! I'd wear it around if his clothes fit me.

@acidtones1 If they reformed it'd HAVE to be with Jason Bonham, then atleast it'd be half of Bonzo!

JPJ was always the invisible force behind the magic.
Any band would sound great with JPJ on bass and Bonzo on drums.

2:53 to 3:01. I like that Jimmy played all that at that part of the song. It is a fantastic touch to add to the song after the original/main solo.

This is the fastest I've heard them do this song.
