I have completed this workout a couple of times and it is extreme the next day I thought I was getting a cold . I was just run down hard work but worth it
@wallace0713 u could or do mountainclimbers - as long as u can still bend em all the weight distributin is on your upper body and arms. only the legs make the movement. Check my answer i put on for TestNathan
@DNRPerformance@DNRPerformance Thanks for the reply I do mountain climbers but figured I would need to do more of a compound move with this circuit. Sucks having bad knees..
@DNRPerformance after you try or do 500 in Row or jus a fast as with little breaks a possible u'll notive its pretty compound but get creative if weighted step up works and gets u out of breath go for it - its all about finding a individual way to get to your goals.
Well its a cardio drill - i'd do 500 Montain Climbers (search term on youtube: How to Do Callisthenic Mountain Climber Exercises - start watching at 1:00)
what do you think i should do for a starter all i have is barbells and i play hockey im 220 pounds working on turning alot of that into muscle 17 years old i want stuff that can work my legs upper body calfs and wrists anything else is just a bonus i eat pretty well since my dad cooks every meal and rarely orders take out so its all healthy i drink milk daily i need help anyone?
@purple0wnzx - this workout can be done totally basic without much equipment. Its a full body workout, that covers basically all your needs as an athlete. you might should also talk to you coaches what you can do the get as good as u can be. modified 300 workout
50 deadlift with barbells (technique!!!)
50 Push Ups
50 Box Jumps
50 Floor Wipers with Barbells
25 each Arm clean with Dumbell or Kettlebell (16pounds or what u have)
i can't really get an idea what u mean by eat pretty well ;)
thanks for the response : ) could you come up with a new circuit for me what is similar to this one, but with out the pull ups and floor wipers and dead lift, i train in my garage and have limited space and equipment but still i train hard
@TonyCowings1991 - i hope your realize i do this for a living and usually charge people for these kind of requests. So i am gonna make it simple, quick but brutally efficient :) (free of charge, hahahah)
- instead of pull ups = 50 Burpees (without the push up)
- instead of floor wipers = 50 V-Ups (with touching toes - youtube it for instructions)
- deadlift = i would not replace that exersice u can also do that with a sandbag or a gym bag full of weights
@TonyCowings1991 i'd recommend max. 1 and a half Circuit (second round cut reps in half), if ur able to keep perfect form and weight as given and complete on round in 17min: u need to swith routine (cuz your too fit and need a harder routine) - hope i was able to help: GO HARD SPARTAN
I plan on starting this workout myself. I found it on Men's Health Website. I can't wait to get started! Thanks for the video its good to see how the workout is done. Thanks!
this looks like a fantastic workout, and judging from ur responses to the other comments you seem to know what you're talking about and u are the most helpful person out of all the other workout videos ive seen, although i still want to know how frequently should i do this, if i were to only do this workout would it be efficient enough to make me look like the 300 guys, and lastly what do these workout? are these general or are they focused, sry i just must know
@incomparableguy hi & thanks for your intrest. bout your question on how frequently you should do this, it depens on your fitness-level. As mentions in the description this is an advanced workout (specially since pull ups, proper deadlifts and single arm cleans are hard things to to with the amount of weight that is recommended). If your a beginner you should lift less weight, and assistend pull up. Do it at least 2 times a week to get positive results as u get fitter u can increase it to 3-5.
to look like the 300 guys, you should also be diciplined with enough food intake or the right food intake (can't really tell since i don't know how u look like). High Proteins, Good Fats, low carb exept for breakfast and shortly before and after workouts: Protein Shakes, Lean Meat, Veggies, Tuna Fish, Fish in generall, Brown Rice etc.:those factors will help ya to get your own unique ripped physique.
its full body workout focusing on the big muscle to give a imposant look. Legs, Upperbody, Lats, Abs and Arms .- u should do this workout as a fitness kick. my expierence after like 6 weeks of doing the recommended lifts and weights, i reached a pleatau where i got really fast and (16min) and no gains anymore (the body needs a constant challenge) so i went back to lift heavy again with the core lifts (squats, deadlift, Bench press, Pull Ups, rows etc.) and used the 300 as my cardio unit.
it always depends on your fitness goals on how u wanna look like. get infos about what u can do and model successful athletes. I loved the 300 routine but i always try to do new things to shock my body. These are some intresting links on how u should train to look like a athlete:
What makes you think that he would hurt his back? Deadlifts if done correctly are the most powerfull excersise to develop lower back strenghts, full body power development and dreadfull cardio drill ;) u should try it but go easy with the weight, develop proper technic and u will be amazed. If u did all these things right, and u feel pain the next day - it probably is muscle ache that come with working out ;)
@kenshinvege: Try to do it step by step. Focus on sucking your belly button in (mentally pull it to the floor), then exhale wenn u lower the legs, inhale when u get back up! with a little practice and focus on technique u will be able to master it fully. lots of success!
Yeah! ;)

Awesome vid. But, I find it impossible to do it in a stretch. And I just can't bend my legs to perform the floor wipers right.
