Great intro tute. I haven't played the game yet and I bought it like a year ago. It's not that I'm not excited to play it, more that the world seems so large and complex it is so daunting!
Just wanna say thanks for these tutorials, man. They've at least given me a working knowledge of the game and made it a whole hell of a lot less daunting. I do hope you keep doing them, though.
Pretty nice tutorial, and even though I already know everything about EU3 and HTTT, I just love watching other people's Let's Plays.
Also, the reason why many prefer to use low AI aggression is that otherwise the AI starts random wars and destroys itself. But if you are starting after 1500, I don't think there's that much difference between normal and low.
What mod are you using? HDM is just graphics, and vanilla hasn't got Sengoku Jidai. Doesn't looks like WWM either.

You should probably mention that you use a mod. Japan is not fractured in the vanilla game, and the map shaders are different.
