@tristanwatson1 Had to make custom engine and gearbox mounts and also had to modify the driveshafts. Its a Jato gearbox. The setup is on some of my older videos.

no the carb settings stay the same its just how far u want it to move stock is 50 50 puttin on 70 30 is t o much its just wasteing battery trying to open the carb farther then it will go.

can you give me part #'s ive been wanting to do this for a long time with my rustler ive been racing my friends go cart and been getting owned and i just want to blow him out of the water ....... i race him on hard pack oval track...... so how is the handling at a high speed and what are some other hop up recommendations?

they should be in your rustler's parts listing that came with it, or online. the upgrade parts' numbers will be listed in bold next to the standard one.

all you really need is to tune it right (not too lean!) and get a larger pinion and/or smaller spur gear. but keep in mind it won't accelerate nearly as fast if it goes as fast as this one. pick a gear ratio that will give you a good mix of speed and acceleration for the track you're racing on.

I believe it, I had a 2.5 rustler and it was real fast too.... it was fast enough to catch air and blow over if 1 body clip came out (front or rear)

go with the rustler if you want speed and drive on fairly smooth surfaces. go with the stampede for rough terrain and jumps. i'm sure the cen is a good truck, being an mg16 owner myself, but you just can't get parts locally unless you live in california. if you want a really good 1/10 monster truck, go with the associated mini mgt 3.0. i have one and it's incredibly durable, well-built, fast, and fun.

try leaning out the idle a bit or adjust ur throttle servo it might not be closing all the way

lower ur idle and yeh learn how to use nitro rc before starting one :) lol

adjust the throttle trim knob on your transmitter, and if that doesn't work, lower the idle speed.

if THAT doesn't work, adjust the throttle linkage.

your manual describes how to do all those things.

it could be a few different things, if you are using the stock radio try adjusting the Throttle Trim Knob on it to the left a little. If that doesn't work you may need to turn your low speed needle to the left a little.

unscrew your idle screw a little, if it doesn't help try unscrewing you low speed needle 1/4 turn. It may be too lean right now, change it before it dies. To answer another question here, if it is cutting out it means your high speed needle is screwed in too far unscrew 1/4 turn or you will KILL YOUR ENGINE.

I can't remember what gear we was using in this video, we currently are running a 40t CB, 52t SG & a 26t CB, 64t SG but we change them so much it's hard to keep up.
