@LTF85199 The term "SteamVac" comes from the fact that a lot of people call deep cleaning there carpets, Steam Cleaning and reefer to these machines as steam cleaners. Hoover jumped on it and patented the name SteamVac to separate there vacuums from there deep cleaners.

I just used mine to do a small area as a test. The area goes from the garage, across my dining room to the kitchen. It pulled some serious dirt out of the carpet. It just made me see how much work I have to do when I actually have to clean the carpets in this whole house. :-( This cleaner also made the carpet feel soft to the touch after 4 years of traffic and settled dirt and stains. I give it 5 thumbs up!!!!

The Hoover does clean with hot water but what you have to understand is the belts and other parts! The Bissell has many parts to change and you will see for yourself that it is a pain in the butt! Hoover Dual V is the way to go!

If you buy a Bissell, you are wasting your money because for one the parts are cheap and there are many of them and number 2, customer service sucks! Parts are made of cheap arse plastic on Bissell models where as in the Hoover models, parts are easily removed!

If you purchase a Bissell, you will be extremely sorry because of the belts and the plastic parts that must be taken apart! When working with the DUAL V, all you have is a removable brush which rinses in hot water and is replaceable! Clean both holding tanks after each use!

My steam Vac doesn't turn on properly, I accidentally ran over the power cord and now it makes a loud vibration type of sound and has a burnt smoke smell coming out of it, does anybody know if I can buy a new motor to replace this one or do I just have to buy a new steam vac again? Thanks

u should call hoover because i think they can send u a motor but if not you'll have to take it 2 a repair center or buy a new one hope u can get a motor :)

I got the one year warranty and all I have to do is takr=e my machine to the Sears service center and if something goes wrong they will add parts and fix it for free!
