As I understand it, the "argument" here is that scientists made a mistake in an era when paleontology was a haphazard pseudo-science. Later, when data contradicting this became available they corrected it. This is somehow supposed to undermine evolution.

Correcting mistakes with new data and revising old theories is the strength of science. No credible scientist believes the theory of evolution won't be revised and changed a little bit in the future. But it's the best theory we have right now.

Marsh had no deceptive intent when he uncovered a fossilized Brontosaurus with a missing head, feet, and parts of the tail. He constructed the missing pieces the best he knew how, and when it was later discovered that his predictions were innacurate and the Brontosaurus was a Apatosaurus, corrections were made.

So you should say a Brontosaurus is a Apatosaurus, not that they don't exist.

Paul was not suggesting that God, would do a "Pre-Trib" send up. If you read Paul in context, he was relieving the concerns of the people to not to worry about Christians who already died. They too will be raised from the dead when Christ returns. Context. It is all about context.
