  • Incredible work Sir....You should be Very Proud!!!!!! God Bless!

  • That is some amazing work and your dad would be proud.

  • @goukimess

Thanks for your comment. It is always nice to hear encouragement.

Your reference to my dad has me wondering. Did you know my dad? If so, how?

Thanks again and please clear up this reference for me.

    Ron

  • @RonTinari heh I was reading the posts below and I noticed gabriell16bishop said he wants to make a cover for a corolla in honor of his father. So goukimess mistook you for that guy I would guess.

  • @RonTinari

No sir, I don't know your father, but I read your description carefully.

  • great job

  • hi ron, whats the cover made of? im planning on making one for my 93 corolla. did you hand craft this or did you have to use a CNC mill?

  • @gabriell16bishop Wait is that a joke? Why spend time making a cover for an old Corolla?

Just put on some headers, colored plug wires and a cold air intake and you will fit in with the "tuners". :)

  • @bphockey23 its in honor of my dad, it was his first car. he died last march 24. he was thinking of engine covers b4 it happened.

  • Looks great, nice work, very professional.

  • Far in Between those made with such

    levels of quality and workmenship

    Thumbs up my friend !!!!

  • hey ron wat kind of intake is that or how does the air get inducted in tru th valve heads?

  • @chepo773

The intake air flows through the black, rippled, flex hoses, through reducers and the small black hoses, to the front of the engine in the metal pipes, and join in a sweeping adapter that feeds the air into the throttle body at the front of the LT1 intake manifold.

  • Very nice job

    Slick

  • that is absalutely brilliant well done and thanks for sharing

  • Such a rip off artist, dont be fooled people. these guys a scammers

  • For the work you did to that LT-1 it's a shame its hidden. Those heads must of cost you a ton for that setup.

  • Beautiful! Just Beautiful! From what it looks like, that engine cover is made from some kind of metal...?? Anyway amazing work. When I get my Murcie replica I hope I can achieve such a beautiful cover such as yours.

  • I could list everything about the engine but there are so many engine choices and ways to make HP, you would be best to select an engine that you like. Mine is a Chevy LT1, now 383 cu. in., Compcam cam, Arao 32 valve hemi heads, Kennedy Engineering Products adapter to a ZF II transaxle. The heads are a lot of work to get right. Let an engine machine shop do it for you. Horsepower is not cheap. Be realistic, you have a lot of things in your build that spend your money.

  • hey mr ron im building a replic an i like ur engine set up can u tell me exaclty wat everything is so i can tell the shop wat i want by year and model please because i dont know much about engines i am getting everything done in a shop thanks

  • this guy is a genius

  • sick

  • Beautiful man! You can make millions by marketing and selling the whole set up. It would bring so many people to the replica world because it's all about selling the illusion. Your set up does that better than any other I have ever seen. The people that handle these sort of things should be knocking your door down with offers. Brillant!

  • looks good, im glad there was a real engine underneath and not a stock fiero lol

  • Ron you have skills man nice job

  • what engine do you have under the cover??

  • It is a '95 Corvette LT1 now upped to 383 cu. in. with 32 valve hemi heads putting out over 600 hp running through a ZFII 5 speed transaxle. The engine is not easy to identify because most people have not seen those heads before. The 32 valves double the effect of a modest cam and will allow fantastic breathing through an extensive RPM range. It will have an estimated 600+ HP.

    Ron

  • Thanks for your comments but this is just my hobby and passion. I offer these videos as inspiration for others. I am not in business and I do not have time to build for others. Sorry.

Again, thanks for your comment. Ron

  • Ron Could you advise me on how to fit the engine cover on a fiiero 6cyl I have in my countach replica?

  • CaptainRandyA,

I made my engine cover so I don't have any specifics for you but you first need to determine there is enough space between the engine and the underside of your deck lid to fit the cover. If so, trim the cover where needed to position the cover level. Find suitable places to make mounts and bolt it down. If you want to hinge it, locate the hinge centers as far up and back as possible. Check for clearance. Use a latch to hold it down. Use 1/4" spherical rod ends for hinge.

  • Ron at kitcar inc they charge 450 for an unfinished engine cover made out of fiberglass. If I bring my exotic illusions countach to you what would you charge to build me one. You did an awesome job and thats all I need for the finishing touch on mine.

  • Ingenius! A a great laugh..

If I may ask; whats the cover made/molded from? Is there any concern with the heat of the engine warping/distorting the look in any way?

  • The cover is sheet steel, exhaust tubing, and metal shapes. The simulated heads are a thermal plastic with fiberglass center cover. I am controlling the heat. The deck lid is an SV with twin scoops directing air over the engine, the headers will be Jet Hot coated. Fans direct air up the front of the engine and I enclosed the exhaust in aluminum ducting with twin fans providing air cooling. All efforts have been made to keep the engine compartment heat as controlled as possible.

  • it would suck if someone wanted to race you and they had a real lambo but u had the mr2 replica lambo what a shame for the replica, but hey i would buy the replica anyway and sup it up later.

  • they hav V12 engine dah ?

  • Roni u are a true genus. I think lambo should hire u. I never ever thought of that kind of cover this is amazing seriously man that looks real even the without the plastic part it still looks real

  • If the cover was plastic wouldnt it melt, caught in fire by the heat... ?

  • if its made by strong plastic it could take it but if its not the strong type then its gonna melt

  • @mkclick

It appears to be at least mostly metal.

  • With the 32valve head are you still running optispark?

If so have you looked into the LTCC

Coil per plug, used the opti as a crank trigger.

I know that 383 can rev alot higher with them heads, so the LTCC would wok out good for you.

    BTW I love you car.

  • Thanks for your comments.

I was going to use one coil per cylinder but couldn't find info on how to use the optispark as a crank trigger so I am using a FAST XFI engine management system and an MSD coil and ignition.

  • Either way, thats an awesome setup.

Those heads arent cheap, but make alot of power. Im gonna send you the link for the LTCC since I cant post links here.

  • WOW! You sir are a true craftsman. Your work is absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!

  • Listen do u sell these or r u planning on it? becuz i would REALLY REALLY want 1!!!

  • Thanks for your interest. This is just my hobby and passion. I offer these videos as inspiration for others to make their own innovative features to their build. I am not in business and I do not have time to build for others.

Again, thanks for your comment. Ron

  • what engine are you using ?

  • AND.... were back to the true counterfiet xD hahahahahaha Hillarious :D :D.. very funny quote lol

  • u wd make so much money selling them

  • Genius! Very well crafted. You should make these as kits and sell them with a DVD installation guide. I can assure you they would sell. There is a video on youtube of the Lambo Mercielago replicas but they dont do the engine compartments like yours.

  • What Kind of motor is that?? Oh, it's a V Twelv-ah um........ 8 Cylinders.

  • Very cool. Good luck with your project. You're off to a great start!

  • dude that was awesome!

  • Awesome Build!!! What color will you be painting her?

  • Lamborghini Titanium (silver) with black and charcoal interior.

  • nice work! is that an LS1 engine?

  • Thanks. It is a '95 Corvette LT1 now upped to 383 cu. in. with 32 valve hemi heads putting out over 600 hp running through a ZFII 5 speed transaxle.

  • Is that a porsche transaxle?

  • The ZFII was used in the Pantera. It has a 4:22 to 1 ratio differential with limited slip and both 4th and 5th gears are overdrive.

  • I knew that was an LT1! I noticed the intake manifold. I have a supercharged LT1 Camaro. :P
