the next step would be to have the fibers of the carpet sway in a concerted manner which would convey these spills towards the walls where they could be collected into areas at the base of the walls and then transported to areas where the substances can be dealt with accordingly--an active cleaning mechanism that requires no human janitors ^^

How much would it cost to have this done to an entire house? Seems nicer than hard wood. Would a vacuum cleaner degrade it's effect? Would you have to clean your carpet with towels? lol I could imagine pouring water all over a carpet to trap the dirt and then throw a towel ontop lol

No, I'm growing Elephant Ears on the back of my home between me and the lake shore along with many other plants and I touch these Elephant Ears all the time and that's not what they are. The kind I'm talking about have extremely fine hairs on them and it prevents anything from staining it or from soaking it or even getting the leaf wet and the fluids flow with the dips and curves in the growing direction of the hair. I know it's a large leaf like Elephant Ears but not as big.

I'd really like to know how this nano coating endures physical impacts, rubbing, periodic constant static contact. Sure it "deflects" liquids, but under what conditions? I doubt it will work properly lets say on a busy hotel carpet with thousands of shoes grinding the nano coating 24/7. It's like you have to re-apply this stuff non stop for it to keep the effect up.
