I know people laugh @ Aqua Velva but I use the musk version. I alternate between that and several of the Pinaud Clubman varieties. It IS old fashioned but I love it. I also wet shave which people think is a waste of time but there's something to be said for the old fashioned way of doing things. And that guy putting it on his face at 0:33 looks unsane.
Another of the show's "participating" sponsors [on this December 5, 1960 episode] was The J.B. Williams Company, makers of Aqua Velva (it's still available, marketed these days through Combe, Inc., and currently using the slogan, "Men Get It") and Lectric Shave. Clever use of animation, although later ads stressed live-action scenes of men being romanced by women feeling their faces {as in a summer 1967 campaign, which offered "Ice Blue, Menthol- and now, new Frost-Lime"}.

I remember the slogan "Look for the "L" in Williams LECTRIC SHAVE!"
Aqua Velva: I never could understand the rationale in throwing this caustic, stinging liquid on your face when it was tender just after shaving.
