  • Hi ! I was watching the video, I've noticed that the sound is just perfect, and I've also noticed that you got long fingernails. I'm Hesitating to let my fingernails arise because I practise mainly metal music, and I need to be able to do tapping, and I think that fingernails could refrain from doing that. DO you advise me to let them arise ? (Love that jewel of music ... Windowpane ♪♥)

  • @Triviumvsa7x Hi there, firstly thank you for watching and commenting on my Windowpane lesson. Regarding my nails I play mostly classical guitar when I'm not playing Opeth so I need them for that, if I was playing metal mainly with tapping etc I would have to shorten my nails to do that. I'm sure there is a particular length that lets you fingerpick and tap, but I don't know, I'm rubbish at tapping for starters. I think if you grew your nails that they would get in the way of you tapping

  • @eezerian Ok thank you for advising me ! I will see later, when my nails will be longer ! Continue to play like that dude , I learnt a part of this song thanks to your video ! Windowpane forever ! ♪

  • Very helpfull. Hope you 'll do more lessons :)

  • this was the best lesson ever.Ty man.Keep bringing us opeth songs.Cheers!

  • Thanks so much, you have made my life so much easier.

I find I can reach the chord at 1:30 cleanly and quickly by playing the C# at the 7th Fret on the E String and fretting the notes G# and D# with the index and ring finger respectively.

  • Thanks Eezerian !!

Now I can play this wonderful song !!

Hope to get more lessons soon

    Cheers

  • im doin this song now and i have a capoon the 2nd fret and also have standard tuning and alot of it doesnt sound right (ex. solo and slide durning intro) is it that i have a shitty fender starcaster or my amp or what? help appreciated

  • omg!, i would pay anything to learn these songs, your vids are awsome, thanks!!!!!

  • I have another quest somewhat off topic..

i'm playing this on a classical acoustic and it tires my hand..

will simply playing the guitar build endurance, or burn out my hand?

what are some things i can do to strengthen my hand.

    thanks!

  • nice guitar man, thanks for cover!

  • DUDE,i dont have a CAPO

is there a problem with that?????

am i really going to need it???

  • @near1996 Hey man, it would help if it was in the correct pitch but sure, you can play it without a capo, just not along with the song. Also the chord at 1.35 might be a bit of a stretch without the capo, but manageable. Thanks for watching. Eezer

  • Brilliant tone and Flawless Cover.

    Thank you for this video

  • how exactly to you get this tone man...

    guitar

    amp

    pedals

    everything.

I need to know this. i'm sick of my jackson's aggressive sound.

  • @muffinmedschredder Hey man, thank you for watching my new video. My current electric guitar is a Les Paul copy called 'Vintage', pretty crap I know but I've got my eye on a PRS at some point. I didn't use an amp for this but put the gtr through a POD X3 on 'Archtop Jazz' with the trebles almost taken out. I also took the trebles out from the guitar too (keeps nail noise low). Hope this helps you get a good clean sound from your Jackson.

  • such a smooth tone.

  • once again eezy thx for all your work, truly a master in my eyes. Please keep this up and happy holidays :)

  • @TheCrazyMex13 Thanks man and happy holidays to you. Cheers for watching.
