  • The C47s lifting themselves off the runway...a flight into sure death turns into a beauty of human endeavor.

  • Isn't this actually where the planes are leaving Upottery? Maybe I'm wrong but what comes to my mind is the airfield and then seeing the mass of th Allied assault from the air and sea. Then, Lt. Winters sitting at the door looking down.

  • at 2:32 somewhat i remember the scene where lt. Speirs comes to the next post while abandoning the germans .. and then got back to his place , and not get killed after all .

  • 2:30 .... Captain Speirs Running !!! Epic

  • Major Winters exemplified what it meant to be a Warrior, a Humanitarian, and a Leader. He set an example which every man should strive to attain, and will be fortunate to be half the man he was.

Major Richard Winters, We salute you.

  • @kterris1 dont forget all the other thousnads of soldiers who participated in ww2 too.

  • To thedarthbagel I been to Dachau Concentration camp. I will let you know the things I seen there personally disturbed me all the way up to now. People like you who are unappreciated of what the military did during that time period piss me off. I have served 3 tours in this recent war, I come from a long line of proud members of the Armed forces and I hate little pieces of shit's like you, you should be sent to combat so you can get a taste of the real shit, instead of call of duty.

  • remeber war is not based on skill put in the wrong spot you could end up in a grave

  • i think he best part of the song was 0.00 to 5.50

  • @XxTHEGAMERxX1

    so true man

  • this is a must but for everyone

  • "As your enemy approaches, the farthest thought from your mind is retreat. In fact it isn't there at all. So you dig deeper inton your foxhole and wait." - Currahee Hand Book of the 506th PIR.

  • great movie,i was enjoying of getting know the part of history..

    Respect!!!

  • Not All The Germans Are Bad, Sadly They Discoverd That After The War Was Over

  • Amazing !!!

  • I love this bit, where all the planes are flying off into the distance.

  • just one thumb down

    awesome track!

  • love this song, but question, in the episode when their boarding the plane, isnt there a choir or druids along with this song. Its my favorite part of the song. Such bravery!! Great series, so is there a different version?

  • @Grayfox82 im not sure however in the Theme song there is a Choir

  • @davidhonourable, which one?

  • @davidhonourable, i just hate when a theres a good song, its heard one way, but then when its released its abit different

  • @davidhonourable, i just hate when a theres a good song, its heard one way, but then when its released its abit different. Listen to the song when there're broading the plane. The choir makes it sound sooo much better in my opinion.

  • @Grayfox82 well i downloaded the album in an attempt to find this songs title that you seem to like, it is called Band of Brothers Requiem (Voice) on the albums back, i hope this is the one you wanted and i hope you find it on youtube. (y)

  • Perfect!

    I found it

  • I'm arranging this for a brass ensemble at a school concert! I play trumpet! (:

  • @VivaLaTrumpet gl there

  • What a fucking amazing piece of music

  • @Rejgnar Indeed, and the scene completed with this music is an epic part of band of brothers ;)

  • So my teacher plays this music in class thinking we'll focus on our work. For the majority of class, it is true, but I get so distracted getting into the music!!! xD

  • @germanfrenchhorn :LLOOLL

    But no, seriously?

    she plays that song ?

  • @mdscatmdsc Absolutely, he plays music for every part of US History. We're supposed to be watching Band of Brothers sometime soon. I keep getting distracted wondering which instrument is playing at which time. I really like ther soundtrack.

  • my favorite is 1.19

  • without checking, if thats the part where there is a slight pause... yeah i love that part, makes the whole song

  • At 2:32 it gets really good.

  • Godspeed, paratroopers, Godspeed.

  • From 2:30 on the music is AMAZING. So epic...

  • aye man! best "classical" music track i've ever heard!

  • the whole song is epic

  • For me it's from 4:35 where it reaches the best part.

  • i remeber seeing this in the movie and perkonte took a burned guys watch lol

  • yes lol as souvenir

  • I'm German.. I was born in Alaska, grew up in Alaska... moved around a little across the west coast for a bit...

does that still entitle me to hate from retards?

  • si tan solo esta exitosa serie la hubieran transformado en pelicula hubiera ganado todos los oscar.

  • skeeter leave him alone i dont like germans much but frig sake wat are u at show some respect to this song or go away

  • United States is the worlds greatest death dealer.

  • Goal of every single war is profit.

Skeeter you dont really have the right to be angry, since you werent there, sure always respect the ones who were but dont go barking every new generation of germans.

Im not german but i do have respect for my own veterans in the finnish wars against the russians.

Your nation wasnt as pure as you seems to believe, do you know that you sold supplies to germany just to maintain the war?

  • Im right and im awesome and you know it..lol

  • As much as it shows the US as kinda evil it is true, however in my view of the world; nothing mortal is pure good or pure evil. I do believe the US enters wars with hidden agendas but also with some obvious beneficial reasons. The truth of the matter is, in this world, there is no true good no true evil, only mortals which lean one side or the other. Moral of the story: pick the lesser evil. (either the capitalist profiteers or the psycho dudes who hate pretty much everyone but themselves -_-)

  • so its kinda true the US is evil, yet there is no evil or good? I could be wrong but that doesn't make sense to me..if I came to your house and beat you with a hammer and stole all of your stuff...would that be evil?

  • @longof99 you don't get the point, the world is not just cut into two halves of white and black its not that simple anymore. I simply stated that there is no true good and no true evil in this mortal world of ours, although some have come close but still prove me wrong. And also, IF you came to my house and beat me with a hammer that would be evil but the question is: WOULD you?

  • I wonder what douchebags gave you -3. You are probably the smartest poster i've seen on this god-forsaken website.

  • Actually i get the point quite well. IF there is NO GOOD OR EVIL, then how can anyone come close to something that's not there in the first place? That's like saying, "You're getting close to the corner of the earth." Well, the earth is round and has no corners! Therefore you can't get closer to what's not there!

And regarding the hammer, you totally dodged the question dude, which warrants no intellectual response, but to appease you the answer would be NO, because it is evil.

  • In your opinion it wouldn't

It's all about point of view innit?

  • @longof99 The US isn't evil look at the extrodinary action of these men during WW2 But at that time the germans were just the evilest people around with the japs

  • @Arizonasnipe

The Germans? I really really suggest you start using the word Nazi's instead.

  • @rome8800 Ya true the german were not all nazis and some "germans were basterds too)

  • "Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force, you are about to embark upon the great crusade for which you have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. I have full confidence in your courage and devotion to duty and skill in

battle. We will accept nothing less than full Victory! Good luck! And let us beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great

    and noble undertaking." -Ike-

  • @darthgrahf that was general eisenhower who said that

  • @hammerhead4896 His nickname was Ike

  • @hammerhead4896 eisenhower's nickname was, and still is "ike" :)

  • @darthgrahf Probably of the war time speeches of the twentieth century.

  • @darthgrahf and Amen

  • @darthgrahf it misses a part" The hopes and prayers of liberty loving people march, encoutering with our brave allies and BROTHERS IN ARMS on the battlefield, you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the end of Nazi tyranny over opressed people of Europe, and security ourselves on free world"

  • @NaturalBornLifeEnder it's a bit mixed up there.

  • @darthgrahf Currahee!

  • @darthgrahf i can almost write this whole speech from memory

  • The Internet: Revealing the immense mental retardation of 50% of the world since 1989.

  • Judging by the comments I see on here, I'm pretty sure it's more than 50%.

  • Haha probably.

  • @TheDarthBagel Sorry buddy, but you're retarded yourself if you're at all surprised about how retarded a great chunk of people are. Welcome to the world.

  • @TheDarthBagel #lol

  • @TheDarthBagel Just 50%? You're too nice, sir. Even 98% is being generous.

  • 2:20 to 3:12 is a great part, but there are so many great parts!

  • 2:31 Best part!

  • so suspensful =[]

  • What the hell!? jorischannel, are you a fucking nazi or something!? If so, you are a stupid bitch!

  • wat ever the results of ww2 was,

ww2 was greatest war of the world ever fought,

"no body win,no body lose ,a war is fought for survivals..."

    germany did for itself ,

  • Germany tried to conquer europe it did not fight to survive and Germany certainly lost the war

  • Germany indeed fought a war of conquest. It was not until late in the war did they realized that the Third Reich was in danger. Only then did they fought a total war for survival...of course by that time it was already too late.

  • you are a fucking moron.

  • These brave Men were called the "Greatest Generation" for a reason!

  • HERE! HERE!

  • awsome amazing audio!

  • Despite being dropped into the wrong drop zone amidst German troops and terrifying flak, many of them having lost equipment, with little clue about where they were, those men managed to emerge victorious out of amazing courage and support for each other.

  • Brothers of Hope!

  • yeah indeed, there are some theories the misdroppings actually helped them since, the germans didn't know where to look for them. they were attacked from every side. Still a great achievement, sadly such an achievements are necessary in human history.

  • Prefect!

I've been looking for this track.

This series was TV History/Drama at its best, and i love rewatching it on DVD, like reading a favourite book.

(Also Im a big fan of Dan Abnet's Gaunts Ghosts novels, and when read those I heared this music in the back of my head ;P)

    Thanks for posting.

  • u know i never read the Gaunts Ghosts series. is it good?

  • Think Band of Bro's mixed with Sharpe, give it a Dune scale epic setting and a dash of Clive Barker. You don't have to be a big fan of WH40k to get into them either.

There's a broad cast of characters that aren't just 2dimensional GIJoes, viseral battle scenes from a foxhole to trench warfare, airborne drop and great tank battles, plus a behind-enemy-lines special forces mission.

Solid characters, dynamic plotlines and great action. Cant recommend them enough.

  • i love these story ... they soldiers were best of best

  • Best of Best ? no best army Germany - Waffen-SS . Fallshirjäger , Gebirgsjäger

  • the best of losers.

  • LOL idiot

  • germans dont loose WWII?you must review the history.soon.

  • What ? May 8 WW2 end in Europe lol

  • lol You are kidding, right? Surrender means you lose.

  • you magoot dick mother fucker. ill rip your fuckin throat out.....im sooo glad my grandpa and great-uncle destroyed your country. one used fire bombs, the other used an m-1 ! Fuck you kraut!

  • your father was circumsized by my rabbi you prick!!!

  • COME ON KRAUT BOY!!!!!!!

  • nice saving private ryan quote. now try getting your own. oh, and learning how to spell too :)

  • dude calm down u no not all nazis were true nazis u no, many were forcecd to be a nazi and do u no how racist dat is!!!

  • you are right......wait a second....THATS NAZI TALK! Kraut!

  • dude u have no proof dat im a krault just stop being a homo and leave everyone alone, i dont care if the persons grandfather is a nazi dat is still very slack

  • krauts killed homos......they also killed jews, gypsies, russians, poles, and countlessothers.....you should be ashamed you maggot dick mother fucker nazi. ill kill ya!

  • good. its a shame they didnt kill them all. could have done with coming over to england and starting with the poles and pakis and every other none fucking white british

  • Kraut is a degrading word which was often used for all Germans. Nazi is the term you should use. It is funny you barely ever hear of the German families who risked their lives to help those who were oppressed. Yet you immediately see all Germans as evil. Try not to make generalizations. Nazis killed people, Germans did not.

  • You are right. I just get angered when i think about all of the horribleness that fucking war had with the death camps and all. the german people did try to help others FOR THE MOST PART, but many soldiers and even a few civilians would hunt and sniff out minorities to be killed, so in turn the ones who killed ARE KRAUTS.

  • The ones who killed? Its war they all killed. From the solided with the bayonet to the wife at home that makes ammo. They all played there part. Everyone killed

  • are you retarded?

  • u mad?

  • i am fuming!!!!

  • You need to calm down and watch what you say

  • Ahh there we go. You just confessed that 50% were nazis. Atleast 80% of the males were in the army at that time. And atleast 50% killed someone. You said Nazis killed.

  • you are so illiterate, it makes me laugh. Don't you learn anything in school, or did you fail and then dropped out? Thanks skeeter3456, you made my day :D

  • this was an amazing miniseries. what was the song when Speir's runs across the road in fornt of the tank?

  • you mean, he runns throug the village in bastogne...

  • yeah, but he runs in front of a tank, and the tank is in the middle of a road. jeezzzzzz.

  • actually stuecklifaezer it was foy not bastogne

  • yes, my error, youre right

  • @Strikeout18

Amazing scene that was....a simple shot showcasing raw courage. Beautifuk twas...sorry for such a late reply but I was digging up the comments to search for the song for the exact same scene

  • I love the way this song starts timid and slowly builds up courage. Really inspiring piece of music.

  • every time i hear this, it reminds of the scene at the end of part one with the entire invasion fleet heading towards normandy. gives me goose bumps every time

  • I Think This Is The Music they play with it :)

  • it is

  • this is used several times i think but works best with the scene your talking about

It reminds me of when a troop go over the river and capture some germans
