As a boy in the eighties, I could not have cared less about Strawberry Shortcake.
However, as a voracious consumer of cereals, I loved this stuff. Compared to the mountains of nearly identical sweetened yellow corn puff cereals with licensed mascots, which were only differentiated by shape and whether they included marshmallows, there was nothing else like this in texture or flavor. And, I haven't tasted anything like it since.
