the biggest problem with this is the lack of side airbag

and the person's neck ends up badly lended to the side, with head hitting the intruding object

the airbag would solve most of those problems

Agreed. The new Dodge Grand Caravan is ok. I know 2 people who got '08 Grand Caravans and they love them. I would rather have an Import minivan over American anyday. The side crash on the Uplander was 4 stars and the Nissan, Toyota, Honda and Dodge minivan got 5 star side crash. But according to GMminivans9968, of course the GM minivans are the best... Even though they got the worst scores. haha
