played Dark Alliance & Champ/o/Norrath yrs ago & just bought Return to Arms recently off Ebay. What a big let down this is compared to the original......theres no originality as you find yourself playing the same levels as the 1st Norrath game but only dif is you can be killed with a single blow by a boss in this 1. Why they brought back boring levels such as the fire level is beyond me as this time around i did the same as 1st norrath and dodged everything just to get through it. BIG LET DOWN

@stardaugther want to buy a game (for the Ps2) based around co-op to play with my bother during the christmasbreak. I've thought about the "Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance series" but wonder if "Champions: Return to arms" is a better choice. How long will it take to beat it (Champions: RTO)? Is it based around co-op where you can play together through the story mode, or is it limited to some sort of fighting-arena? Is it necessary to have played Champions of Norrath to understand the plot?

@Izak80 champions rta you can play co-op in a storyline where you can choose wherever you will be good or evil that have different missions and tasks but the game aint so long itself but baldurs gate dark alliance 2 is a pretty good game. almost the same and there are also cheats :o AND it is a much longer story line and you can enchant ad imbue weapons so i recommend that you buy Baldurs gate (2) first :)

i think that champions of norrath is a better game because no matter what class of character you chose you can always get enchantments and the story line is better... and yes i know that RTA's story line continues off of CON but the way it works is better. RTA is too much like a level by level game... CON is and actual adventure... and every time you play the maps are different so it more fun cause you never know wats going to be where so you can discover more

Looks like a pretty good game I love morrowind so I'm thinking about picking up this and norrath,morrowind is alot more in depth and u can basically play it forever and u can customize your charachters more,but u can play this online.

oh man in new mexico snow blind games r hard 2 find i almost pissed my elf when i saw dark aliance 1 and 2 in the same store so i had 2 buy them both they both were like 60$ each used! but their collectable so i had 2 oh man i love these games especialy crta because its pretty im a lvl 46 iskar shaman and my favorite spell is planar winds its awsome! at lvl 20 its as good as mithaniel marrs!!!

Yea it is great. I am a Dark Elf Shadowknight in this game. My friend is an Iksar Shaman and the other is an Erudite Wizard.

Wizards are ugly as sh!t but they have kickass spells.

Get champions return to arms, because it is the better one by far with more skills,charecters nad higher level cap,the story will make sense as you work your way through,but untill then get this one,then the first one later if u still need to be satisfied,and btw i am a lv 80 dark elf shadow knight if u need help on something just ask.
