In the orginal experiments the grounding rod was water pipe driven seven feet into the ground. I think 2" is a little speculative.

the more ground you have the better the circuit will be when i had a small ham radio station had to put the ground in about 6 feet and a circuit in between the aerial and the ground without the circuit being on you would build up a charge of a few thousand volts ham radio operators know this i found out the hard way and ruined equipment

man...Im interested...but all I got out of the 3 set up videos was insulated plate and grounding wire - couldnt see poop in #2, or even understand what you are doing.

video 4 shows the scematic, its prety easy to follow, its more of a picture so you can see what the parts actually look like. if that doesnt help tell me and maybe ill make an actual video showing be make the circuit. its really simple once you understand. thanks for checking out my video

hey boxa888 na to bad if u can use milla volts/amps if u want a better insulator plexi glass or ceramic is best. allso wat u have here u can do is if u have 4 audio amps or 2 stereo 1s bout 10 20 watts and 8copper pipes stuck in earth aprox 20 feet away u got a private intercom 1 amp is transmitter other is recever with 4 u have 2 way .speaker outs . to pipe and a microphone at input on 2nd u hook mic in to pipe in ground n vers vica i heard the army used this around 40s.
