  • He doesnt even show us how the exercise looks like!

  • good now how about some char sau

  • I just spilled a hot bowl of ravioli .. i burnt my hand and now the kitchen is stained. I SUB'D.

  • I think it is largely important to recognize the value of videos such as this. Though you may never become a master of Dan Chi Sau by watching the video, it gives the layman a more clear picture of the technical mastery that is required. Kung Fu isn't just waving your hands in the air and shouting WHaaaTCHAaaaa. : )

Thank you for your contributions. They have given me ideas for helping my seven year daughter in her continuing Choy Li Fut training.

  • Better to practice it in the drill, unless someone is correcting your form you could still practice it improperly.

  • Wich Chun may be hard, but it's epicly fun.

  • I fear not the man which has done 10000 kicks one time, but the man which has done one kick 10000 times.

  • one thing. ur talking to much.... lol

  • @pochazet He's doing a training exercise not fighting. A musical scale isn't a song but musicians practice them.

  • great vid. alignment of center/brick wall explanation was great, with the added emphasis on technique that helped a lot...again keep up the work

  • haters gonna hate.

  • @Jbugz83 Fortunately i live in a country where i am allowed an opinion. I'm sure Jin doesn't expect everyone to agree with all he says. Just as he himslef points out in many of his vids that some are wrong and as such he is expressing his own opinion. I disagree with my mom many times but that doesn't me i hate her. I think you should lighten up ...........nobody hates anybody !

  • @kungfucritic You're probably like that dumbass who challenged Ip Man.

  • @Noxnaxia If i was i would have whooped his ass back to Fut San !

  • @kungfucritic Cool story bro

  • G'day. Jin you da man. Sad to see that there is always so much jealousy and hatred amongst practitioners. Let every one have their place in the sun and if the critics dont like your style they have the right to move on and harras the next guy willing to share his knowledge. Seems like men are actually 100 times worse than little girls when it comes to" Uh mine is bigger than yours and uh my dad is stronger than yours etc" Thanks for posting your stuff mate.

  • @dxfreight i agree wit wat this guy said...if u dont like his way of doin it den jus move on n do wat u do rather than goin against his ideas cuz everyone has their own way n Jin sifu is the reason i got such a good hold of wing chun n fo tat i respet him a lot

  • koalalumpar........ Define Good ? Self proclaimed or do i have to have won numerous WC competition ? Or is it down to my Lineage ??? If i say i am good, someone else is gonna say they are better, so bit of a naff question dont you think ???

  • activate the option of your legends man , in all of your videos , i can understand perfectly what you are saying, but i need to read with detail and the legend could help much more !

  • donnie yen would kick your ass.

but anyway, this was really helpful for me on my journey to kick chuck norris' ass :)

  • Cool video. Good job Jin

  • god bless brother in humanity i am going to my class in an hour your vids get my mind ready and i thank you alot. peace

  • @Jbugz83 So if i citicise a movie i must be a hater ? So would you be happier if i just agreed with the ones who liked this vid. So you are holding this vid as an example of a Fok Sau are you ? So is this the function of the Fok sau ??? Now please explain how you use it freestyle and how its used with weapons ? If you dont know ? i suggest you learn a bit me before you refuke any genuine comments !

  • Hi, can you post a video about how to use wing chun to deflect or protect against low punches?

  • the entire video can be found by going to...

    thechinaboxer(dot)com

use the "search" function and input "fuk sau" and you will find it.

  • There has always been competition between different styles, but there has never been the level of disrespect I have seen between martial artists like now "natharaja" for example! This is a fantastic video that gives people pointers and another idea to add to their styles. Great video's you have here by the way ChinaBoxer

  • u full of shit my friend that's a false don chi

  • i'm not sure what "false don chi" is, but i saw your video on your version of chi sau, and if what you're doing works for you, then great, keep it up. IMO there is no right and wrong version of wing chun, there is only what works for you and what doesn't and i'm only here to share what works for me with everyone.

    take care and peace!

  • and as an instructor yourself, you of all people should understand that, instead of getting into "i'm right and you're wrong" attitude. this is the very attitude that makes wing chun or ving tsun or whatever you want to call it, the politics, rather silly. anyways, i wish you the best in your training/teaching, peace!

  • bah that was so well said. Why has wing chun politics become so ridiculous!

  • Niiiiiiiice. The art of zing is no zing at all. Thanks for the vids and humble approach to your digital students. Instant subscribe

  • @chinaboxer I suggest you look and listen to your own vids and explain why you claim to be 'right' yourself ? I dont recall ever hearing you say 'this is my take or my ineterpretation' i only hear from you that 'others are wrong' May i suggest its you that is guys like yourself who are fuelling polictics.

  • @kungfucritic That statement suggests that we as viewers, are complete morons. In the arena of combat there are very few things, if anything at all, that are to be taken as absolute fact. That's relevant, because knowing this, we do not need chinaboxer to tell us "this is my take on...", we know it intrinsically.

  • That video on his channel isn't even his, so he shouldn't criticise. He mirrored it from the channel "lordnore", if you are interested.

  • Very nice explanation. Appreciate this very much.

  • hey i want to thank you very much for making these videos they are very clear and easy to understand ive just started practicing and id like to get the best attributes from all martial arts and chi sau i believe trains you for a very decisive split second in combat and i like that very much

  • I subscribed =D

Its so nice seeing a video that goes through each detail of a move and its importance.

    More please =P

  • Thanks for the knowledge

  • no problemo. peace!

  • awesome video...it helps allot :)

    thanks !

  • no problemo. peace!

  • actually, what is the use of this? i'm sorry, my speaker got problem so i only hear you 'buuuuuwaaaaabaaaaamiiii'

  • at least i am at sticky hands. for me theory and basics are the most important but i really wanted to reach at this point

  • your analogy and explanations sure make this drill much more easier to practice, especially in terms of maintaining the form/structure.

Can you make a video on fook sau? I tried to find ways to work with fook sau, but I feel it as being limited on its use. I'm not even sure I fully understand the concept behind it, but right now I only see it as a form of blocking.

  • i will add fook sau to my "to do list" of videos. take care and peace!

  • Even if he made a Fok sau vid it wont help you much. You wont find many Fok sau vids on You Tube. Probably around 95% of instructors dont really know what the practical application of this tool.

  • you can view my fuk sau video at ...

    thechinaboxer(dot)com

use the "search" tab and input "fuk sau" to find it.

but like "kungfucritic" says, i probably don't know what i'm talking about and it won't help you much. too bad he doesn't post a video to "enlighten" us all on how to do it correctly.

  • You said it, i didn't ! I dont post vids as i normally only teach my own students and those who invite me.The Fok sau extends forward with intent, it does not retract, if it does then its not called Fok Sau. The Fok Sau starts 1 fist distance and the only reason the elbow hits the chest is because the body is required to maintain/recover forward intent or pressure after receiving overwelming power. The Fok then changes into a Wu for a specific and very important reason. Hence its repeated 3 times

  • go watch my video

  • uhhh, his video on that topic pretty much covered that. The forward intent you're talking about is brought up somewhere between 7-7:50 minutes. In fact, the video seems to have covered most of what you just explained in text.

  • I watched the full vid before i commented. Again, the Fok does not function in retreat as it requires intent (intent should be used to open up, not only to stick & listen)and body to drive it. Huen or gan/gok sau is what is used when the wrist are compromised. As you are so open, i would be nice to see a demo of a practical application of Fok sau the way its explained on here. The reason Fok is repeated 3 times in the SLT form is because its one the most important fighting tool in WC.

  • @kungfucritic post instructions helping others :) all im seing is negative.

    critic" says it all.

  • @kungfucritic i agree with you in every way

  • @chinaboxer Jin, I fear we are not worthy, and depth of troll-chun kuen will remain with "kungfucritic" forever. So please keep post your "backward" videos. Today I start my fist chi sao training with my new sparring partner. :)

  • @kungfucritic HAHAHAH FAIL!

  • great job. how long you train wing chun?

  • thanks for the kind words. my training and instructor list can be found on my channel. take care and peace!

  • im sorry for my bad english, but if i good understod you train 28 y?

  • i started my martial arts journey almost 28 years ago. time flies when you're having fun! i'm not as young as you probably think i am. peace!

  • so tell us the secret, how old are you dude? and whats your anti aging cream...haha

  • i'm getting up there, bro. i'm almost 40. at night i fly around as a bat trying to find women so i can drain their blood. don't tell anyone!

  • love your videos! you explain wing chun in ways that really make sense and really work! so many try to teach these things and fail horribly. thanks so much for sharing. you ever think of releasing a dvd for sale with all your vids? ;)

  • i get alot of emails about releasing a dvd series. i am contemplating putting together a intermediate and advanced wing chun series. thanks for your interest and the kind words. peace!

  • this guy is brilliant. i study WT/wc since the earlry 90ies

and i am happy to finally see someone on youtube who knows what he is talking about. keep it up - the comunity is grateful

  • thanks for the comment, i really appreciate it. peace!

  • Hmm, new videos! Great!

  • I like your explanations in your videos but I have a question regarding your comment about a palm strike once you've completed the tan sau and Fook Sau in the first section of siu nim tao. It is something I have never heard mentioned before and have been taught that from these 2 actions you move to huen sau and then to wu sau. Could you explain this? Is there a video of you practicing siu nim tao?

    Great videos by the way.

  • Your right in your explanation,

alot of people babble on or discuss irrellevant or wrong applications.

Great video. Your spot on. Well Done.
