@missflump Just wanted to say thank you so very much for taking the time, energy and effort to share all your experiences of your journey with us. I have found your vlogs fascinating and very informative, my husband is having gastric surgery this year so to be able to have watched you on your experiences has been most helpful and reassuring! You were always beautiful, now you look happy and more confident as well!! Well done and huge congratulations on all you have achieved. Wishing you health
I'd just like to say that you looked absolutely gorgeous before surgery too. I am glad that it all worked out well for you. Good luck with the future.

Thank you for posting this...I have decided to go in for the band surgery, just waiting on finalization of insurance, then I can schedule my appointment.
I've been overweight all my life, and after losing 150 lbs on my own,hit a wall that's lasted almost two years! Now with high BP and Cholesterol, I HAVE to do something more.
You are beautiful(in all the pics)!Just curious- was it difficult adjusting your food intake?Did you have any "difficulties"?
Eating in the early stages is by trial and error. You just have to take things slowly and see what agrees with you. Its so different for everyone. BUT because youre having your band filled gradually over several months, that makes things much easier.
For me, it wasn't so much about adjusting my food intake as my body clearly tells me when enough is enough and that I shouldn't eat anymore. You can still try and overeat but you would probably be sick and run the risk of problems with your band. However, the discomfort you would feel just isnt worth it. In fact, my main problem was/is that I still buy too much food in the first place!
I still eat most things I ate before, some of them in much smaller quantities, but I also eat some other things much more than I did before, such as fish, which I find very easy to eat.
In fact, I look forward to my food more and because I can't eat as much, I'm much more picky about what I do eat. Before the band, I would have opened the fridge and eaten whatever was in there, whereas now I reject certain things over others.
