  • these two sound awesome together

  • Groovy. Seriously...

  • RITE ON THE LINE!..GONE!

  • I've heard of the album Raising Sand. This is one good duet! :)

  • In my opinion this cover is an improvement over the Everly Brothers original performance which I thought was pretty good at the time. To me it shows what talented composers the brothers were. Robert & Alison are great performers!

  • there are bands and there are bands, zeppelin were simply the best, no other band comes remotely close.bonzo r.i.p.

  • This song is played every morning, without fail, as I start my 6am shift at Wilkinson's xD It's surprising that I appreciate the jolliness of it at such a time!

  • Both of these Artist kick Ass always have and they both always will no matter what they are doing.

  • @MusiciansForums If you really believe this comment, then you don't respect Alison, because she decided to make this album with Plant based on their compatible vocal styles. Their voices blend incredibly well together, and they sound amazing. When Alison sings with Union Station, do you think she's singing alone? She's always harmonizing with other members. Oh, and don't get too comfortable — Plant and Allison have talked about collaborating again in the future. Guess "everyone" will be upset.

  • Dammit Robert Plant is ageless

  • @The19burrows87 i know right?

  • love it

  • Not to original......great copies of the Everly Bros. ....chuncky like classic Robert Plant....Love it....

  • definately Zep influenced

  • LOVE$, LOVE THIS SONG..........AWESOME~

  • i had to notate these voices for a music class good song

  • good stuff...

  • anyone know who the original version of this is by? i heard a spanish version that sounded like it was from the late 50s or early 60s.

  • @paulgila22 I beleive it was The Everly Brothers in 1964.

  • @paulgila22 I beleive it was The Everly Brothers in 1964. There is a youtube video by myrainbow2.

  • I don't understand the anger over the Plant-Krause pairing. Plant paired with high-femine voiced women even when in Led Zeppelin. And Krauss had been around since a kid singing and playing the fiddle, really true to her roots. Excellent artist with or without anybody else, but she's a team player and often just accompanies others.

  • @brelfan People with closed minds who can't accept that real artists take risks in order to grow. They're not little puppets in boxes for the masses to pull out and play with when they feel like. This is one of the best collaberations I've heard in a long time--truly deserving of the accolades they've received. I'm definitely a fan.

  • @GMLFire Agreed. I'm more of a bluegrass/Krauss fan than hard rock/Plant fan, but let's face it. His job is the sex appeal. And he always dabbled in folk and always delivered a fine performance. I respect him for it.

  • Alison Krauss... new Yoko?

  • @strwy2hvn94 Umm, lest time I checked they aren't involved with one another, they just collaborated on an album together. Why on earth would you compare her to Yoko?

  • @centerforce2 Because although they made a good album together, she's partially responsible for Plant refusing to tour with zeppelin for a while (among other personal reasons). Just a joke, man. But I guess it's not as funny now.

  • watch?v=zbSU-D4JAxY

  • Unbelievable that this song was released in the early 60's by the Everly Brothers.I used to dance to it at High School dances. Great song that sure brings back some fun innocent times...Huichol53.......

  • It's amazing that Alison Krauss can harmonize with Robert Plant and put forth such a beautiful song. Alison and Robert are definitely keepers. In fact, I thing Alison can harmonize beautifully with whoever she sings with, and she is definitely a keeper.

  • Reminds me of Led Zeppelin's "Out on the Tiles" ending.

  • Love the "Bo Diddley" sound at the end.

  • This is MY song!

  • love this song...... im gone gone gone...

  • Robert Plant And Allison Krauss Are Fuckin Awsome Together....Robert Plant Awsome Voice... Allison Krauss Fuckin Hot As Fuckin Hell...........

  • I was listening to Krauss earlier today and kept thinking to myself "where have I heard her before?"

  • Love this tune from these two...cause I'm a Rocker and a Hillbilly. And I've been gone a long time...how 'bout you?

  • I LOVE THIS SONG, IT MAKES YOU HAPPY JUST HEARING IT...

  • These two are great together....such a smooth tune...diggin it!

  • ok seriously, how can ANYONE dislike this song??

  • Dammit I miss Zeppelin...

  • Is she Robert Plant's Girlfriend? Just curious

  • @jarden69 NO!`Professional relationship.He has a girlfriend, and never been short of them! X

  • @IgniteTheProphecy hell yeah man i agree, its there to be done with jason as the drummer! altho i think it might be too late now jasons in black country communion.

  • Jimmy never did you no wrong Robert! :L

  • Robert Plant est une légende.....Super plaisir de l avoir vu en 2006 à Caen France!!!! GENIAL !!!!!!

  • they really did this song good. :D I love almost every version from the 60's and especially the Ventures 1964 cover, but this is sweet man. The video was kind of stupid though.. with those horrible wind jumpies

  • mmmMMmMm WEELLL...WELL WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUUUHHHhHuHyeah

  • wow!!!!!huichol53........so damn great!!!!

  • :)

  • hurts so good when it's done wrong

  • Great version! :) The album is great, too.

  • Right on :)

  • I just love this tune cuz its special of it own and Alison got a lovely voice ;)

Im in love with Roberts voice i always been that cuz he has a special voice, back to Led Zeppelin he was an excellent singer, & still is. To me its like an eargasm haha xD

  • Beauty and the Beast

  • @LeggzSoLong

Don't call Alison Krauss a beast!

  • This beats the hell outa me, but it works damm it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @IgniteTheProphecy Because he doesn't give a shit about hard rock anymore... it'd probably be ugly if he tried it anyway.

  • Wow, I remember when the Everly Brothers and many others did this song. This is an outstanding version.

  • I just love them sing together!!

Robert Plant is one of my heroes, he kicked ass in Led Zeppelin (Im a mega fan) and i just love him :)

  • They sound terrific together. Such a great harmony.

  • shit

  • @joemufc2 so's your attidude and manners.

  • @chekkawekka101 and your spelling

  • @joemufc2 good? or what

  • god, i love robert plant.

  • Comment removed

  • Great performance for this really great song!!!!

  • :) Thank you for posting this.

  • Wow what a very cool duet combo would have never expected them to sound so good together

  • good song, but it's a remake of the Everly Brothers song of the same title.

  • i wonder if he goes shirtless when doing live versions of this song

  • wow plant needs to realize zepp was the greatest work he did and needs to do something with page or jones, I'm not saying zepp cause it's not obviously zepp, but the other thing is plant cant hit those zepp vocals anymore he's older.

  • @blackadder19999 You're really obnoxious.

  • @blackadder19999 The song is up, don't be ungrateful. You want the video then put it up yourself don't expect everybody else to do it

  • @AlexinWonderland10 how do i get the video

  • RP never ceases to amaze me through the years with his various bold new directions toward music with his creative genious. He's always exploring new frontiers and thus redifining keepin' everything so fresh & inspiring. Most veteran artists try to hold on to yesteryear & can't let go.RP moved on long ago from LZ redefining his musical genious & pioneerism exploring new original frontiers in all directions quite successfully with renewed vitality almost everytime.

  • Still rockin' - still very good - age hath its rewards. No reason to lay it down, unless one refers to laying down tracks in a studio.

  • what a duo

  • wonderful!!

  • absolutely excellant!!!!!!huichol53.......

  • Produced by T-Bone Burnett

  • Some sunny day-hay baby When everything seems okay, baby Cause Ill be gone Gone, gone, gone really gone Gone, ga-gone, cause you done me wrong Everyone that you meet baby As you walk down the street baby Will ask you why youre walkin all alone Why youre on your own Just say Im gone Gone, gone, gone Gone, ga-gone, cause you done me wrong
  • Some sunny day-hay baby When everything seems okay, baby Youll wake up and find out youre alone Cause Ill be gone Gone, gone, gone really gone Gone, ga-gone, cause you done me wrong Everyone that you meet baby As you walk down the street baby Will ask you why youre walkin all alone Why youre on your own Just say Im gone Gone, gone, gone Gone, ga-gone, cause you done me wrong
  • such a great song ^_^

  • these are great contrasting harmonies

  • great song!!! i love their voices together, their like BUTTTAAA!

  • Moist and cakey.

  • a spin off of percys wanna be zep

  • Do any of you have any idea who played guitar on this and produced it? Or did you know that Ms. Krauss is also a brilliant producer herself? Do some homework. I am 61 and listen to Led Zeppelin Daily and love Jimmie Page but dam can't you stretch a little. These two stretched for the good. Brilliant music and great performance. Miguel

  • where's the jimmy page solo?

  • I guess the Everly Brothers originally did this!!?

  • Ok it is true that ravages of age and time have taken their toll on Plant's vocal machinery and he can no longer hit top C. However on closer observation what seems to be projected by Ms Krauss is that Plant is priveleged to have the chance to sing with her. Actually should it not be the other way round. She was'nt even in her nappies when Plant was writing and performing things like Stairway and No Quarter which are a wee bit more than three chord Rock n Roll!!!!!!!

  • to everyone in here just listen and enjoy, I have to analyse music for a living and waste my discoveries on some of the arrogant and presumptuous minds that are producing the crap in here, almost regret getting into such a situation I may resign my tenure soon and go drive busses for a living, perform concerts, join a weekend garage band and produce, responded because I saw a reasonalble comment for once, my last posting, Lee kiddle, get a newspaper column, share with those truly interested

  • the insults were directed at the other rude idiots in here not you, (just to let u know)

if you read the final sentence of my comment, '''Country and Blues were a parallel chronological phemena.''' therefore you are agreeing with me, I merely stated that country ( is a younger form than blues)

some old folk songs from Britain, even a few centuries old and 'slave' songs

tehnically are what we refer to as blues today, country is a 20th century form OF

    the operative word OF blues,

  • This is amazing stuff. If you want to see some up-and-coming Australian roots music check out Gypsy and The Gleebs. Seach for "Glebe Point Road Song". Maybe not as good as these guys, but excellent feel good music with a splash of Australiana!

  • people who troll real music like this need their head examined

  • gone gone gone...cause you done me wrong

  • there is no question about robert plant being the greatest rock singer of all time. and for anyone to say that other rockers put him to shame is an absolute farce. and to say he has lost it or is out dated is totally inept statement. 5 grammys? i say hats off to plant. what todays rockers would give to have had the career of robert plant. you will never hear them put him down and say hes outdated. the guy can flat out still sing.

  • @edward9851 i`m sorry but this is the first i`ve heard of robert plant an i love this so i will look for some more!!!!!

  • @fridaymylove uve never heard of led zeplin? welcome to the world of music then. happy discovering.

  • Very nice.

  • "AWESOME"

  • I think it was that we were really seasoned musicians. We had serious roots that spanned different cultures, obviously the blues.

    - Jimmy Page

  • It's okay, but it ain't Justin Bieber.

  • @justinbieberforking fuck off

  • @justinbieberforking u comparing that little shit justin beiber to the rock god robert plant!?

  • @justinbieberforking haha youre so funny don't get mad at this kid come on she'll cut her wrists when she grows up and understands what ridiculous shit she just said ahhahahaha

  • @justinbieberforking then you dont know good music, justin bieber is cute and all but he could never make great music

  • @justinbieberforking I wish you to drop dead.

  • do not EVER get tired of this song ...

  • this song is freakin SICK ! alison and rob really rock ...

  • when I hear this song it really channels Elvis and Ann-Margaret for me

  • psh....really people? Ke$ha is better than this? BULLSHIT!

  • @triggergirl123

then dont listen to it no one, i bet no one asked you to hear it so dont complain. and kesha is new to the music world, so she still has far to go. other than that dont judge music....

  • I checked out this album from the library, and fell in love with the unusual sound.

  • great song... just wanna get up and dance : )

  • a really nice album....

  • i love this song! and now I dedicate it to my ex-boyfriend.

    gone, gone, gone! :-)

  • Is it just me or the beat is totally gone wild with this song?

  • @eTiggy It's just you

  • @eTiggy The beat is the best, I'm sure it is intensional

Best rythm/beat I've heard in years. Somehow it reminds

of "The Wild Blue Yonder" with Screaming Blu Messias.

  • What happened to the music video they had of this song?

  • now i know there's 756 likes for the video, but it still sickens me that there are 32 dislikes, like who pressed dislike on this video, i should hunt them down lol

  • this sounds like a really bright album..

i loved led zeps stuff when i was a kid...but I actually like this stuff more now, than listening to the old ones.

maybe i am getting that age..i dunno.

Rock n roll is for kids..really...and its great when you are a kid..but when you are a little older, and a little more open minded (no offence kids..i don't mean to patronise) it gets boring...and loses its magic...

the music i like now is music where i can hear the musicians having alot of fun

  • Robert Plant and Alison Krauss seem like such an unlikely pair to me. I wonder how they got together. Can anyone tell me?

  • @yowzephyr I think they got together by T-Bone Burnett, the producer of the album.

  • these two voices are made for singing toguether

  • Comment removed

  • @bluntman178 I guess that would leave you out!

  • @bluntman178 Well I guess that would leave you out...

  • Hey Stuart, a good build to dance song, or rev it up and dance. Digs

  • Good stuff...

  • Love this duet. Robert Plant is a ledgend

  • This cd was way to under rated

  • @minigun18 If it was underarated why did it get 5 grammy's, all that it was nominated for? It was underplayed on the radio but never underrated!

  • One of the most unusual and fabulous collaborations ever! Who'd of thunk it?

  • @musicmydrug10 u r so rite!!!

  • @musicmydrug10 robert plant?

  • FANTASTIC...WOW!

  • @ coleyman, think about what you said a little, Plant is a icon. He does not have to keep his name going. He has all the money he will ever need, he is doing this for fun.

  • @ spitfire, look Plant up. He has done a lot more different music after Zeplin. A true artist has an open mind.

  • @ FatherTime. I seen on of their last concerts in KC, it was awsome. They mixed it up with songs from both, Alison, and some Zeplin tunes. He turned down touring with LZ to do this.

  • Great mix of instruments. I'd love to see them play live.

  • I'm not sure where all this outdated talk comes from . Good music is good music no matter when it's made, or who is making it.

  • So Robert Plant skipped out on a Zep reunion for this? Looks like old Plant's gotten lame.

  • I think 31 people missed the like button. How can anyone not like this. As to the comment about who go the better of who, well, when a southern lady is paired with an English gentleman, what else would you expect. I mean she's going to stand by her man and sing back up out of respect and he's going give it all he's got out of appreciation and love.

  • Wow! Lots of hate being spewed down below on the comments. Why are some people ignorant? This is a great pairing of iconic voices and talent that has earned both all the praises and success they desrve. If you hate anything in your heart about music then I suspect you have other problems in your world as well.

  • Too many people fail to realize the origin of most contemporary music in this country is Celtic. (for you basketball fans, that's pronounced "Kel-tik") There is a lot of Celtic sound in the Bluegrass style of Alison Krauss' music, just as there is in the turn-of-the-century Delta Blues music that heavily influences Robert Plant and the music of Led Zepplin.

  • This is fucking sacralige

  • @Alhambrattp moron

  • Robert Plant For the WIN !!!

  • Frank, just like you keep singing about that crazy girl...she's gone gone gone really gone 'cause she did you physically wrong ; ) I think you're safe now

  • dios mio, la rola esta demasiado chingona

  • Superb!!!!

  • Alison Krauss is very under appreciated as a muscial artist.

  • Whoever dreamed up this combination? A wrinkled-up old wino druggie hippie and the most beautiful, angelic voice ever heard on earth?

  • @37NAU What kinda shite you talking about, you obviously were not around when led zepp hit the big time! It's all about the music, you div, and who gives a fuck if he was a "druggie hippie". That made the music great, and I for one are proud to have been among the greats of the music world. Twat.

  • @37NAU

  • @37NAU

DRUGGIE HIPPIE OR NOT, PLANT HAS MORE INTELLIGENCE THAN YOU DUMB ASS

  • Rubbish,If this is all Robert can put out ,he should pack it in!!!!!!

  • @MrFoxhunter123456

RUBBISH!!!!! IDIOT. PLANT & KRAUSS WON 5 GRAMMYS - SOMETHING HE NEVER GOT WHEN HE WAS WITH LED ZEP. IQ ZERO.

  • @joel98ism I know which Robert Plant i would rather listen to!!!!!!!!

  • @joel98ism you still gotta concider the fact that most music "experts" thesedays are fucking clueless what music is not to blame them since the 90´s music hasnt had 1 band to defend it but still don´t think these experts know shit
