  • and to say they are dumb dogs is ludacris.. my beagle is smart and devious..he will scheme his way into anything..

  • my beagle gets this crazed look in his eye about food and he's fed well...i can't imagine some hungry beagles..dont eff with them long island beagles!!!! lol

  • Ummm.....a beagle baying is a "ferocious" bark? Give me a break. All of the "feral" beagles are either lost during hunting expeditions or the hunters dump them when they don't hunt well enough--they certainly aren't trained as attack dogs, for God's sake. I live where this took place, and it was all rather ridiculous the way it was portrayed by the media.

  • I don't get it beagles are awesome why do they have so many in the shelter????????????

  • She could hear them coming toward her.She aint even seen them. What can i say.Maybe they were leaping over cars and trees--right?

  • beagle??? why the f??k would u be scared of a beagle!?! its not the size of a pitbull...theire SMALL!

  • i CAN UNDERSTAND WHY EVERYBODIES SCARED.Three of my very best friends got EAT last week by a pack of wild beagles. They were having lunch at the white house withe oboma, and the pack of wild beagles just busted through the door, grabbed each of my 3 friends by the foot and STARTED EATING TILL ALL 3 OF MY FRIENDS WERE DEEP INSIDE THESE WILD BEAGLES BELLIES IN LITTLE PIECES..................................

  • Nothing worse than a pack of beagles going around eating people......Well now I understand how oboma got elected.....

  • I am sorry for all I've offended...I have lived next door to beagles, and my aunt owns one that comes to all family events, so obviously she loves her doggie, I am only writing again in this forum to say that I am sorry, sometimes my fingers work faster then my brain, and being insensitive is something I'm trying to correct in myself...I totally retract that negative statement...Yes, our dog is pretty sweet, thank you...I will be more open-minded in the future...

  • This is absolutely ridiculous... fucking stupid woman.

  • Beagles look sweet, but are really just food addicts. We say our dog pretends to be a good dog for food.

  • no way that any hunter will leave his dog in the wood, but beagles get lost hunting they just dont know when to stop chasing.

  • Beagles always get lost because they follow scents...They have sensitive noses, but they are very stupid dauuuuuwgs, no soul behind the eyes...Sorry to offend, I have a stupid dauuuuwg myself, she's a cockapoo that is loving, but doesn't ever socialize with other dauuuuwgs and nips at them...I love Lauuuuwng Island!

  • @badgirlkate If "dogs" are so stupid, why have one? Beagles are not stupid, and they have adorable eyes! I think all animals are cute in their own way. Then again what do I expect from someone who spells dog the way you do.

  • @SeptemberSamurai

I am sorry I offended you...Dogs(better?) are all cute in their own way, I do agree, but beagles just don't listen very well...They can't really be blamed, they follow scents, and will escape to follow the scent of a deer, or something else that interests them...Maybe this makes them smart indeed! btw, I was playing around by spelling, "dauuuuuug", that way, I am from Long Island, and the accent is thick in this vid...

  • @badgirlkate I have beagles, so no need to explain how they act or what they hunt. Yes "dogs" is better. I just think you come off as someone who doesn't care for animals even though you have one.

  • @SeptemberSamurai Well, I got my dog becasue she is cute, and she is company, but smart? Well, it depends on how you're judging her...she learned not to run away on the beach. These dogs have instincts, so ,"smart", might be the wrong word. I feel that Beagles are void of many emotions, and howl incessently, so a Beagle would not be for me...I have a Cockapoo, she's a good fit for me! Again, I am sorry to offend you, just mho...

  • @badgirlkate Not sure what beagles you have been around, but mine are full of emotion. I am assuming you have never owned a beagle. If I am correct, maybe you shouldn't comment on dogs you don't really know about, just by observing a few you may have seen here and there. I am not offended, I just don't get why your so quick to put this particular breed down. Especially if you have never had one in your care. Anyway....your dog sounds cute!

  • Dauwgggs.. can always tell a North Eastern accent. :)

  • That woman is a complete jackass. First of all, wolves? Is she honestly that stupid! For future reference, a wolf would will be larger than your Lab. Second, I can only assume from her first retarded statement that the vicious barking was simply a couple of beagles baying. Then I love the phrase "a couple beagles were lurking in the bushes" lol, more like sniffing around the bushes. Moreover, most hunters would not just leave a dog behind. Beagles follow their nose and become lost from the owner

  • beagles make the best pets! This is so stupid. She probably made this shit up to be on tv.

  • how can you take this shit seriously, the worst it could get is they might lick you to death

  • Why is AP reporting on something like this? And, the lady growling is hilarious.

    Link To Favorites. com

  • That's bs. "because they didn't find enough rabbits." They probly got on a deer's sent and ran off befor the owner could catch up with them. It's happened with mine befor, but I have a tracking collar on them so it's not as hard to find them.

  • Perfect example on why most people that own animals shouldn't be allowed to own animals!

  • So we should release all of our animals? Where would you put all of the animals if no one owned them?

This isnt a Disney movie. Animals will kill other animals in the wild.

Its a fact, look it up.

  • Interesting considering I just had to call animal control on a wonderful dog that followed me and my dogs home from a walk. He simply wanted a home and someone was too lazy stupid and self centered to step up to the plate when they took in this "cute little puppy" to follow through with their committment. Cute puppy videos make me cringe considering how many of those puppies end up scared, unwanted and then murdered. People seem to think that finding a puppy cute somehow makes them better people

  • Whats next, wild poodles hopped up on Oxycontin?

  • I dont want to laugh at what you said because Im upset about the beagles, but that was funny LOL

  • I know how they feel. I was terrorized by a Persian for years, and the damned thing was my cat!!!

  • If dogs are away for a human master they revert back to the pack. The alpha male decides what the packs target is and they will attack, Any wild dog is dangerous, There was a kid killed a little while ago on a reserve in saskatchewan a little while ago, by wild dogs,

  • This is, by far, the weirdest titled story I've ever seen the AP put out, and I LMAO

  • don't feed the wild beagles so only the strong ones survive and mate

  • They Do not Know if all the beagles are used for hunting . Once again the Anti-hunting news is back at it again.

  • If the old lady is out walking her dog after midnight, she deserves to get attacked by wild beagles

  • I am sure the pet trade does not help

  • I would've done a sweep kick and taken them all out. Hiiiyaa!!

  • fuck ya

  • That's inhumane how people just abandon their dogs, not to mention very bad karma.

  • @doc7474 but its okay for humans to be abandoned, thier homes foreclosed, save the animals not the humans? sorry, its just difficult seeing so many ppl. losing everything, next there will be packs of zombie humans

  • It definitely isn't okay for humans to be abandoned. I was talking about these dogs, like the ones that are abandoned because they don't catch enough rabbits. I honestly have no clue how you could interpret my comment as human abandonment being okay.

  • I used to have a beagle...best dog I ever owned. The only thing annoying about them is their yodeling-style of barking, which if you live in a wooded area...happens all the time.

  • its micheal vicks beagles

    will they ever find peace???

  • -also i thought it was something Onion News would come up with.

  • HAHAHAHHAHHA. just reading the title i thought the same

  • seriously....

    wolfs?

    WTF is that lady smoking?

beagles are knee high, have BIG floppy ears and have a loud bark...

  • Wow. Those poor dogs.

I thought this was an Onion video till after I clicked on it. I'm still having a hard time believing it.

  • "As she took her 7 month old pip for a MIDNIGHT WALK..."

Ok lady, what the fuck are you doing walking your dog at midnight??? That in itself should be given the stupidity award right there. And in New York no less...

  • lol, new york people are scared of beagles

  • ....... Kill the Beagles, and then blame it on Osama Bin Laden.

    That's what Jesus would do.

  • @a7green amen..

  • Feral beagles...? Geez... this community needs to do something about this.

ANY breed of dog, when gone to the streets, can take to pack mentality and become a danger to animals, and especially children. Packs of 'wild' dogs see kids, kids act like prey (scream and run type behavior), dogs take down kids.

Seriously, its a hard problem, but licensing, mandatory registration for breeders, and microchipping help identify where the dogs are coming from... and euthanizing is necessary.

  • @DeadlyChinchilla Would you like to get micropchipped?

  • Beagles? Really? I just... My little Beagle is 17yrs old and all of twenty pounds, and I kept glancing at her while watching the clips. Its rather hard to take seriously.

  • A lot of pit-types don't get over 25 or 30 pounds, but you see what sheer numbers have done for their reputation. Breed doesn't matter when you're talking dangerous street-pack activity.

Beagles are also pretty strong little guys, they're not usually delicate.

  • I realize it has very little to do with physical size. After all, my seven pound dachshund mix is far more vicious than my eighty pound pitbull.

It's more that a previously-tame Beagle shouldn't be quite so difficult for even a semi-competent control officer to handle. You'd think they'd have done something BEFORE they could become a ferral pack.

  • Heh, well thats true. I think that might relate to the "Beagles can't be dangerous" myth. You know, mixed pits and bully breeds are all "vicious," but poodles never bite. (Yeah, right!) Purebreds are "good" while mutts are "unpredictable." Common stereotypes.

The most vicious dog I've ever seen was a dachshund, actually. Far more than any doberman or rottie I've seen.

And you're certainly right on the stopping of the problem before they went feral, certainly should be taken care of.

  • why the fuck do you people want to shoot dogs?

  • Killer Beagles

  • These people think a pack of Beagle's will attack? OH jeez can I wake up from this nightmare? I bet those with gardens love them Beagle's

  • They're not ALL dumped by their owners, most are probably hunting dogs who lost the pack and the owner could not track them down. Happens all the time.

  • Owners today are held accountable for their "lost" dogs too. Simply losing the dog does not justify roaming packs of gone-feral dogs. Dogs lost by owners do not go "wild" in a day, after all. Packs of dogs roaming streets is indicative of a much larger problem than a few lost dogs.

  • OH MY GOD, Please save me from this 4pak of wild, blood thirsty Beagles. I promise to go to church on Sunday.

  • just give them to me! i love beagles! dont abandon them! how can someone abandon their dogs? ugh..disappointing. i have a beagle and 2 other dogs and love them so much!

  • .20 gauge shotgun, a hand full of shells, end of problem. how helpless are these morons on long island?

  • @mdjbm Why shoot the people because they're stupid? You will go to prison man.

  • LOL that was Good

  • shoot the dogs you moron.

  • In the land of firearms we have not this problem.

  • Holy fuck what a shitty jew name that bitch has.

  • @only1ization You must be a JEW!

  • Comment removed

  • leave the dogs alone you pussies

  • beagle ? just kick them like a soccer ball and that will end the problem !

  • Ferocious Beagles, sonds like a job for UNDERDOG

  • LOL

  • I bet Snpppy is anti-semtic too! He did play Red Baron, and was created by Sgt. Schutz

  • wow you spell like a retard

  • you great homo sword swinger,

  • Send in the Vick animal control service. The wild beagles will be gone and the neighborhood will be free to walk about in no time. Dot, get a couple 357s and then go for a stroll. When the beagles attack, kill them and then call animal control. Perhaps Pam will be able to handle the dead dog pick up. Where's PETA, why aren't they rescuing Dot from these terrible beagles? What's going on in Orient Point? Where's that worthless David Letterman. Dave, get up to Orient Point and fix this problem.

  • You know how to keep you beagles happy ? Look it up , it involves alot of lotion and rubbing .LOL

  • If you mistake beagles for wolves, you have an overactive imagination.

  • I can't stand that people are so heartless with dogs and other animals. My local shelter is overwhelmed with labs due to over-breeding. If they don't want the dog, then don't get it in the first place. I bet some of you reading this are guilty of that. Shame on you.

  • There are whole bunch of idiots commenting on this thing. For God's sake, abandoning dog to "fend" for itself because it didn't get enough animals during hunting? and breed bunch of "pure bred" dogs for money and just dump them? It's not only irresponsible to the dogs, but also to the human neighbors that live there.

  • Don't fall for the BS AP is spewing, Beagles run rabbits. sometimes the beagles run the rabbits & keep running. just check the collar to find the owner or look in the local paper. a Beagles bark is worse then it's bite. it's probably barking for food, not because it wants to eat you.

  • Beagles, like any dogs, when taken to the streets as packs, can be VERY dangerous for other animals and kids. Pack behavior on the street is incredibly dangerous to allow to continue, and doesn't happen with a few lost pets. A pack of any kind of dog coming after you or your animal may well consider YOU or your animal "food."

Dogs purposefully released do not have collars.

  • we had a pack of wild dogs that live out by our township dump when I was a teen, they were considered dangerous by our local paper but the truth is they were peoples pets that were released into the game reserve & packed up by a food source. a few calm words would get them to come to you with tails waggin'.

some people turn dogs lose with collars on, I know because I use to cut them off sometimes after they got embedded into the dogs neck

  • Some hunters don't put a collar on their dog because it gets fetched up in the thicket.

  • Then they need to microchip. Especially if their dogs mean anything to them and are working or professional sporting dogs.

  • There are better situations sometimes, yes. There are lost pets.

But what I'm talking about is the mindset of a pack of dogs, on the street, fending for themselves and coming up with a hierarchy among themselves. That calm happy little group you call can, with a little time, become dangerous. Its the nature of what dogs are and where they came from, and what that means for people in their area.

This woman could well have lost her dog or been attacked herself. Any dog is capable.

  • all my dogs respond to my (Natural) whistle. I wouldn't take a dog into the field if it didn't. I've never heard of anyone turning a hunting dog loose on purpose but everyone I hunt with spends the time to train their dogs.

  • Thats good to hear, training is best for most dogs. I don't know how many might be released on purpose, but I do a bit of dog training myself. Its when the wild dogs start running in dedicated packs that problems really start, that I've seen. Pets on the loose don't usually want a new pack so quickly, of course.

  • I would love to see those beagles come after me when I am walking my two pit bulls down the street.

  • It's not the dogs that are to blame, they are just trying to survive. Blame the humans that abandon them.

  • Your preaching to the choir.

  • Snoopy has rabies!!!!

  • Coming next will be a ban on hunting! Then they will want to take away lawful citizen guns! This is fear mongering for gun control!

  • buy some mace, dipshit.

  • They wanted to know where she got her name. Coming soon to Animal Planet, When Beagles Attack. I was attacked once by this pack and they knocked me down and stole my luck rabbits foot! Why was she out at midnight?

  • Noi siamo figli della luce, Lucifero, figli del male che abitano la nostra visione

  • Snoopy gone bad.

  • Put on some shin pads, what a bunch of wieners.

  • save the poor rich people from beagels

    wait beagels, not bagels???????????wha...........

  • There's a charming story about the hunting community: dogs that don't deliver for the fat ass hunter don't get a ride back to town.

That said, I thought this was an Onion clip.

  • Porthos

  • Just feed the dogs!!! WTF?

  • poor dogs just want a nibble

  • AHHHHHH The beagles are coming!!!

This is not the change we wanted!!

  • Long Island... it figures

  • Woo! Woo! Woo! You Know It!

  • 1st.

Well they use them in animal testing, so I hope these little guys get their pound of flesh for their brothers and sisters being tortured.
