@Gavin17259 I guess it was inside Killdozer, check out 0:13 hit, it flyes up and fall at the middle of the arena, and near the end Tombstone hit it, sending to the edge...
How much power did it have ten years ago? Enough to take the might of Hypno-Disc. By chance do you know how and what they make the American arena out of?
Thanks! I'm going to tell the UK version to build theirs out of the same material. We're not allowed spinners! Health and safety gone mad. Also, if he didn't exist ten years ago, who would have won? :)
Sorry Joe. But he's right. Hypnodisc is a good robot but it's outdated. Its blade spins 750 rpm and by today's standards that's pretty slow. A lot of blades today spin at 3,000.
Just in the footage here of the "Robot Wars World Championships 3". It does look like a good design, but doesn't appear to have that much mass spinning.
The weapon motor in this version of Tombstone was an Etek. These are no longer produced, although you can find them regularly on ebay.

Ah yes Hypno disk...the only english KE weapon that could tear thru paper mache' and fake fur.
MullinPerformance 2 years ago
Hypno Disc from the Uk was much better than that!!
Davezo17 2 years ago
A: Tombstone is 340 lbs. HD was 220.
B: Tombstone's little brother, the 220 lb. Last Rites, has a 97 lb. bar that spins at 2500 RPM.
Both could DEVOUR Hypno-Disc.

watch Hypno Disc vs Robogeddon!
Davezo17 2 years ago
I'm going to be blunt, here.
Robogeddon's armor was SHIT.
HD's disk wasn't very fast, nor was it heavy. His opponents' armor SUCKED.
Look up Last Rites vs. VD6. That's power.
Maeror2010 2 years ago
That fight was more than ten years ago, Hypno-Disc is older now. And wiser. Like a monk or some ninja shit.
joerlz12 2 years ago
Okay, let's go with that.
Now we have a SMART feeble old man vs. the M. Bison of heavyweights.
Dumb or smart, brains all look the same when they're beaten out of their skulls.
Maeror2010 2 years ago
What I was saying is that Hypno-Disc, if it was updated could smash the shit out of this guy. But it isn't updated.
joerlz12 2 years ago
Last Rites is the APEX of the horizontal bar/disk spinner.
97 pounds. That's how heavy the bar is. Almost HALF the weight of the entire machine.
Only Megabyte has more power, and I'm not even sure about that.

He didn't EXIST ten years ago.
HD's era ended in Season 6. The age of the legends is OVER. Megabyte proved it against Biohazard.
The arena? It's Lexan. Damn near unbreakable. I've only ever seen one robot truly damage the most modern arena: The Judge.

I kind of meant bringing HD out NOW and having him face off against the new generation. He wouldn't have a hope.
Maeror2010 2 years ago
thats actually our super heavyweight tombstone, the bar on last rites is about 70 pounds
JBill06 2 years ago
I thought you guys cranked up the weight of it after you got some lighter motors.
Maeror2010 2 years ago
we've got 2 different bars for last rites, the aluminum one with the S7 teeth is about 60 pounds and the solid S7 bar is about 70 pounds

I know and it saddens me to think of it, it's a real shame about what happened to it in Series 6. Just a shame the team never tried to update it.

Just saw some footage of that bot - very similar in look. Certainly not in the same power league, but a good design.
