They altered the lyrics and removed the name of Jesus. Where is the church? They say nothing but the atheists say it is offensive and since the church says nothing, the 1 percent has their way. It is about time the "silent majority" spoke out. I find this offensive to alter the lyrics because it has the name of Jesus in them.

As long as either the producers of American Idol or the Fox Network negotiate the songwriters and mechanical licenses (two fold royalty payments the first goes to the songwriters for the use of the of their song and the mechanics goes to the record label if I remember correctly for the performance rights of the song) and payment is made, then there are no legal ramifications involved.

What about the singers? They are covered under the same said agreement. :) Hope this helps with confusion.

I have to comment. i missed this one, but my coworker told me about it. You can tell that the majority of the performers have a faith background...I think the Aussie doesn't, but who am I do judge.
