When I first watched this stuff at camp, I was feeling so bad and this was a reminder of how great He is. Knowing the vastness of the God that lives in me reminded me just how secure I am
There is NO Reason to believe in a god. There has never been a non-contradictory definition of precisely what God is. The belief is based on faith, which is the unproven. Only fools subscribe to the unproven.
@notbestfriends NO reason? How much research have you done on the historicity of Jesus? I've studied it quite a bit and I find that history proves that He was at least a great healer who was executed for His outlandish-at-the-time interpretations of God. I do have faith in Him as God incarnate but that's not unreasonable.
The nature of the universe and its origins are certainly much stranger and more mystifying than the fiction scribed out in the bible.
What separates a scientist from a person of god? Both wonder in awe at the mystery of the universe, but only one will spend a lifetime working out the celestial mechanics. Can you guess who?
He's not saying it's God himself. You have to watch more of his videos to get his style. He's saying that throughout the creation of the universe, there are signs and suggestions that God has left for us to marvel at. Example: this picture, laminin, etc.
God probably put it 31 million light years away because He can and it's amazing.
I think we shouldn't be so concerned with how God put us here, or for that matter, what he has planned for us in heaven. There are great works to be done in his name TODAY in the present.
Yes, there is a Micro Evolution. And like you say, a member of the dog family cannot evolve into a tiger. But to be fair, if there are billions of successions of "Micro" evolution, than it becomes "Macro" evolution. So a simple one-celled organism can eventually evolve into a more complex organism - such as a poodle or a tiger. Once they start to become complex though, they can't suddenly change paths and become something else that is complex. At least that's they way the theory goes.
Sounds convincing, to an extent. My question would be, are there any FACTS that prove macro evolution? Maybe some historic evidence (archaeological)? Maybe I am wrong (which I am quite often) but it seems to me that they are just theories. When you look at evolution you notice that it is actually a decrease in the genetic code. Meaning you lose information. No information can be added to allow it to become more complex.
Mutation is possible, but evolution has already term itself to be something like 'hey, man evolve from apes!' and BS. I wonder that's why more people end up scratch their headsand a**es, and then haul themselves out of a level 25 building.
I do believe we can believe in GOD and His creation and also that God oversaw how the first molecules were put there by GOD and maybe did evolve th what we re today.. I do not think God disapproves of evolution long as we KNOW HE is the ONEwho oversaw and oversees everything in and of our world and our universe.
Anyone who doesn't believe what they're seeing in this video either doesn't know God or your God is way too small. If you aren't amazed at His wonders every day, you aren't pressing into His presence and power.

God has imprinted the Cross throughout His creation. It's not only in the Universe we can see, but it is within the universe that is you and me. Every cell is connected with laminin, and laminin is in the shape of a cross.
Do a Google search for 'picture of laminin'.
How great is this God we serve? How big is God that He measures the Heavens with the span of His hand. Yet He gave His only son for our salvation, and His thoughts are always on us. (Ps, 138; John 3:16; Romans 10:9,10)
Jallulah: I am a Christian and I know God's love, and that His word is true. My concern is that young Christians are taking His word entirely out of context with the Laminin craze. This does Him no glory. Faith is not foolish to me; it is the source of my life. Accordingly, only when God's word is understood in its true context does our faith have a proper foundation. This video dishonors God because it misuses His word. But, nonetheless, God rules and to Him be the Glory. Blessings.
michealcab. lol this isnt misusing gods word! this is just another demenstrtion of his increadable power! do you think god just accadentally made the laminin that shape to confuse people? thought itd look funny from up there, wanting to make something cool in case the world got too boring? maybe you should dress up as a chook and dance on your churches roof, or better yet, dress up as a church and dance around on a chook.
Dear fellow Christians: when Paul said that all things hold together in Christ, he was talking about the entire cosmos including stars, planets, mountains, seas, etc...none of which has laminin; therefore Paul was not talking about laminin as the binding force. Please consider the historical context of the scriptures so that we can avoid looking foolish as is the case with this video.
Michaelcaba:hi.UR Right!Paul did't know laminin,But he did know God!I think he meant all inclusive everything!!I'm sorry faith is foolish 2 u,friend. He loves you, cares 4 you!!
This is ridiculous and an extremely dishonest use of HST images, clearly meant to pander to scientifically illiterate Christians. I bet he goes nuts with all the "crosses" he sees in the clouds. He needs to study signal analysis, where the golden rule (warning) is: if you look hard enough, you can find whatever you want.
If go is so "impossible to miss" then why do you need to search for his signature in HST images? What is more likely, that this picture of a cross (not a very good one by the way) happened by chance, or an all powerful being put it there? Leave the science to the scientists. In the meantime, go study signal analysis like I suggested.
In no way did I say you have to go search for his signature anywhere. Look up. Look at the sky whether it is pouring down rain or not. Look at the flowers on the ground. Look anywhere you want and you will see true design. Where there is design, there is a designer. Look at your own unique fingerprint. Look at your own body and see it for the miracle that it is. You don't need a microscope or telescope to see God at work. Simply open your eyes and see what is to be seen.
The universe is indeed a complex and amazing place. However, simply stating that a designer did it is intellectually lazy. Science seeks to actually answer these questions. It is science's ability to solve mysteries traditionally held under lock and key by religion ("God did it!") that is causing religion to feel so threatened. As the French mathematician Laplace famously said to Napoleon, "I have no need of that [God] hypothesis".
Yes, making the statement that a designer did it can be lazy if the individual has done no research for themselves, but once you reach a certain point in your studies it would be ignorant to say that there is no higher being. I'm not saying evolution is false. I don't know one way or another how the universe was created. If evolution is real, just look at how miraculous it is. If the universe was created in 6 days, just look at how miraculous that is. There is certainly evidence of both.
By "reach a certain point in your studies" you must mean that you give up, brand what you don't understand as unexplainable, and say God did it. Science does not such thing, rather it continues the studies and seeks to explain the world around us. Regarding ignorance, I could equally claim that it would be ignorant to say that there is no tooth fairy, but that would be illogical. There is no credible evidence of a design, otherwise it would be published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal.
No, there is not very much that I don't understand. That is how I am able to see the true beauty of creation. I continue to learn. I continue to study and discover new things every day. There has never been a point of giving up for me. By "reach a certain point in your studies" I mean reach a certain point where I let my ego go and basically say "This is by the hand of something great, not by the hand of chance."
Scientists would be out their jobs if evidence of design were published.
It is not ego that drives scientists forward in the thirst for knowledge, rather it is humility in awe of the universe. Who is more humble, one who seeks to understand or one who claims to know the very mind of God? It is clear where the ego resides. As for the conspiracy theory that the entire scientific community is rejecting design evidence to keep their jobs, if you can't see how ridiculous that sounds then I don't know what to tell you.
You cannot say it isn't ego that drives scientists. That is far too general. Humility is seeing how amazing the universe is, then bowing down to its creator as you strive to see just how complex it actually is. I also don't claim to know the mind of the creator. That is part of religion. Religion is a science. Just like we will never fully understand or be able to grasp the complexities of the universe, we will never be able to fully grasp or comprehend the magnitude or complexities of Gods ways
Humility is seeing how amazing the universe is, then admitting we have much left to learn and discover. The bit about bowing to a creator is superfluous and unjustified. Christians do claim to know the mind of God, how else can they do God's will? I hate to burst your bubble but the very definition of religion disqualifies it from being a science. Science works through evidence, experimentation, reproducible results, and verifiable predictions. Religion works through faith.
One cannot generalize an entire religion. As a Christian, I do not know Gods mind. I don't know how He works or why He does things the way He does, but I do know the morals I am supposed to live by. We as humans have these morals built into our bodies. Separating religion entirely, we know right from wrong.
We have empathy built into our bodies and a natural desire to prevent pain and suffering. This is seen commonly amongst animals and is exhibited in humans by age 5. I am happy to say that my good deeds are not motivated by fear of hell-fire. We are digressing here into the role religion plays in morality however, which has little to do with why there is absolutely to evidence for a designer of the universe and us scientists are NOT conspiring to cover up any such evidence.
I agree strongly with your comment about empathy, afterall, I just said the same thing minus the part about children. My good deeds are not motivated by fear of hell either. My good deeds are motivated by my respect for humans, animals, and the world as a whole. You seem to have a very close minded opinion of Christians which I do not hold against you. As with any large group there are those that misrepresent said group and give it a bad name.
I try to avoid painting with broad brush strokes so I apologise if I gave that impression. However, I am very familiar with what the Bible teaches on this matter and the attitude of many, many Christians on morals and I'm afraid there are alot of your peers who behave in a holier-than-thou/you-will-burn manner. Having spent alot of time with Christians, my opinions aren't close-minded. It's just unfortunate it's the arch-type Christian that normally stands out from the crowd on these issues.
I do not believe there is any conspiracy going on to conceal evidence of design. That would be quite ignorant of anyone to believe. We have been brought up and trained to ask the wrong questions of the universe. Knowing that there is a creator hasn't stopped my pursuit for answers. If anything I have become more ambitious to see just how far I can go into the complexities of the universe. We seem to agree on everything except the fact that there is evidence of my God.
I think you're probably right in what you say in your last sentence. I think it all comes down to whether or not the scientific method can be applied to the issue of design, which I have been arguing cannot be done without evidence of said design.
You are right. Without that element of faith, religion(and every other relationship) is nothing. Two individuals can look at the wonders of the universe, be equally in awe, and ask the same question, which is, "How do you do it?" One will be asking the universe and one will be asking the artist. A promise that my God made thousands of years ago is that if you "be still"(make yourself totally vulnerable) and ask for God to reveal himself to you, He will give you the proof you want.
of course there is not going to be evidence about God because you live by faith and not by sight and it says in the bible God makes it obvious to all that he exisists, but its wether you believe it or not.
And I know of a man named Charles that devoted a lifetime to evolution and went so far as to create his own theory of evolution and ended up dying a creationist for the overwhelming evidence of intelligent design who would disagree with Judge Jones.
If you're referring to Charles Darwin, the story of his conversion and eventual renouncement of his own theories is both one of the most common AND one of the most securely refuted urban rumours that is propagated by Christians such as yourself.
Oh I'm sorry, I misunderstood. You are referring to the other (but related) Christian urban rumour that Darwin converted to Christianity before dying. No I'm afraid that one is false too; dismissed by historians and refuted by his own family. Sample reading on the subject may be found in "The Darwin Legend" by James Moore.
Being a creationist doesn't mean one refuses the theory of evolution. Christian evolutionists believe that the universe evolved with the guiding hand of God.
One needs to be very careful to make that distinction so you shouldn't use the word "creationist" since everyone will naturally assume that means young-Earth creationism. Wikipedia (for example) states that creationism "is usually based on creation according to Genesis" and "is commonly used to refer to religiously-motivated rejection of evolution."
You're right, it is too commonly used to refer to young earth creationism for me to use generally. I will keep that in mind and be more specific in the future.
you cant believe in God and evolution at the same time it was either God or evolution and I for one believe regardless of what is said that God was the one who created the universe.
Laminin? Give me a break. Stick to the Bible Lou, not looking for symbolic imagery in creation. Every molecule in the body is evidence of his love. So? Man shall live by every WORD that proceeds from the mouth of God, not by looking for shapes of crosses in creation. That's hokey like finding images of Jesus in a piece of toast. OH LOOK the bones of a sand dollar look like doves, Jesus must love me!
OH LOOK! the bones of a shrew and an elephant are both white! EUREKA! THEY ARE COUSINS! That obviously means we all originate from a glob of ooze and have chimpanzee relatives! Duh! What was I thinking!?
Highly recommend the 2-part Indescribable DVD by Louie Giglio. Incredible imagery and an amazing message. I've watched it 5 times and look forward to seeing it again.
God is holly and infinite!Blessed be His name! I just cant wait for the 1000 years ,when God will show us His creation!I hope that all of us should rise up with the first resurection!!!

Technically you can believe in both evolution and creation. Evolution occurs only on a MICRO level. It is also known as natural selection.
It is simply variations in the genetic code. EX. Dogs
Great Dane and a Poodle are quite different. However, they are both still dogs.
There is no evidence for a Poodle evolving into a tiger or anything like that. (Macro Evolution)
BroWilson7 2 years ago
Yes, there is a Micro Evolution. And like you say, a member of the dog family cannot evolve into a tiger. Meaning you lose information. No information can be added to allow it to become more complex.

Having spent alot of time with Christians, my opinions aren't close-minded. It's just unfortunate it's the arch-type Christian that normally stands out from the crowd on these issues.

I totally agree.

We seem to agree on everything except the fact that there is evidence of my God.
wokeetout 3 years ago
I think you're probably right in what you say in your last sentence. I think it all comes down to whether or not the scientific method can be applied to the issue of design, which I have been arguing cannot be done without evidence of said design.
shadroth 3 years ago
You are right. Without that element of faith, religion(and every other relationship) is nothing. Two individuals can look at the wonders of the universe, be equally in awe, and ask the same question, which is, "How do you do it?" One will be asking the universe and one will be asking the artist. A promise that my God made thousands of years ago is that if you "be still"(make yourself totally vulnerable) and ask for God to reveal himself to you, He will give you the proof you want.
wokeetout 3 years ago
of course there is not going to be evidence about God because you live by faith and not by sight and it says in the bible God makes it obvious to all that he exisists, but its wether you believe it or not.

I agree 100%

Please don't misinterpret what I'm saying, I'm not trying to force my views on anyone. That discovery is for you to make.
wokeetout 3 years ago
The discoveries I make require evidence.
shadroth 3 years ago
As do mine. Like I said, there is no absence of evidence.
wokeetout 3 years ago
Judge Jones who presided over the Kitzmiller trial disagrees with you.
shadroth 3 years ago
And I know of a man named Charles that devoted a lifetime to evolution and went so far as to create his own theory of evolution and ended up dying a creationist for the overwhelming evidence of intelligent design who would disagree with Judge Jones.
wokeetout 3 years ago
If you're referring to Charles Darwin, the story of his conversion and eventual renouncement of his own theories is both one of the most common AND one of the most securely refuted urban rumours that is propagated by Christians such as yourself.
shadroth 3 years ago
I highly doubt Darwin renounced his theories. There are many Christian evolutionists.

My point exactly.
shadroth 3 years ago
The point that Darwin most likely died a Christian evolutionist? I thought that was my point.
wokeetout 3 years ago
Oh I'm sorry, I misunderstood. You are referring to the other (but related) Christian urban rumour that Darwin converted to Christianity before dying. No I'm afraid that one is false too; dismissed by historians and refuted by his own family. Sample reading on the subject may be found in "The Darwin Legend" by James Moore.
shadroth 3 years ago
I see now where the confusion arose. It was because you said Darwin "ended up dying a creationist". This of course implies he refuted evolution.
shadroth 3 years ago
Being a creationist doesn't mean one refuses the theory of evolution. Christian evolutionists believe that the universe evolved with the guiding hand of God.
wokeetout 3 years ago
One needs to be very careful to make that distinction so you shouldn't use the word "creationist" since everyone will naturally assume that means young-Earth creationism. Wikipedia (for example) states that creationism "is usually based on creation according to Genesis" and "is commonly used to refer to religiously-motivated rejection of evolution."
shadroth 3 years ago
You're right, it is too commonly used to refer to young earth creationism for me to use generally. I will keep that in mind and be more specific in the future.
wokeetout 3 years ago
you cant believe in God and evolution at the same time it was either God or evolution and I for one believe regardless of what is said that God was the one who created the universe.
eeyore77KL 2 years ago
I believe in both.
usernameofnobody 2 years ago
evolution does exist but on a very very small level. definetly not what Darwin proposed.

@ruckus172 Yes but it is not evolution but adaption. Big difference

OH LOOK the bones of a sand dollar look like doves, Jesus must love me!
terriergal 3 years ago
OH LOOK! the bones of a shrew and an elephant are both white! EUREKA! THEY ARE COUSINS! That obviously means we all originate from a glob of ooze and have chimpanzee relatives! Duh! What was I thinking!?

Congratulations. You just successfully demonstrated your complete and utter lack of knowledge regarding the theory of evolution.
