haha-I used to work at the Limelight and there was nothing like Rock n Roll Church Sunday nights! Places like The Limelight, Scrap Bar,and Cat Club just don't exist anymore..what a blast!

@DJPaulMarco when it was limelight i used to go all the time. when it turned to avaolon ny, everytime I went I was very disappointed. so yea, I'm not surprised it's no longer avalon. after limelight closed, after three times of not being happy i just stopped. so I haven't really kept up on it since then. this was years ago.

I like many of you now suffer from a New Form of depression .. i dont know what to call it but no matter where i go or what club it always sucks cause i keep comparing it to the Tunnel,SF,Twilo,and the only church i would go to the Lime light ...so help us all who enjoyed life to the fullest and now ...now there's nothing.. you can have your Pacha and your Cielo and you Club Space (miami) i live there now..but you can NEVA have happiness. Janelle here I was the guestlist girl outside from 1995-1996 for the Promotor's list, Fred Asher and Daryl Darren I remember standing outside doing the list w/ linda Love and Damon while Kenny Kenny and Roxy did the ropes while Chief and Tom Buckley held it down we were like family from 10pm-2am Fri & Sat nights i miss those days and my braids...lol

back in the day.. all the limelight reminds me of is suprsingly the tunnel. both were great.. but when D-tour spun at the tunnel blasting out nightmare by brainbug while you walk thru the fuzzy room... HOLY FCKN HEAVEN!! the club days and the techno/house of the 90s can never be replicated

I spent many a night at this place circa 93-94. Shampoo room in the hiz-ouse!!! Miss this club!!! My crazy outfits always got me and my friends in!! Love it! Good times! That's when music was hot and you didn't have to spend $500 on bottle service!
