@pingubr1985 Correct me if im wrong, but if you are referring to the fact that we get to kill him in the first place, how is that different from the time we downed Nef and C'Thun? Sure fewer got them down, but your point seemed to be more the fact that we got to down the LK as a boss at all, so its not much different than any previous "directions" WoW has taken really.
@Tyronecrackman Well from a lore wise point of view we did kill c'thun and he was resseructed by cho'gall the same time arthas attacked orgrimar and stormwind i think (correct me if i am wrong on that point) But alot of vanilla wow kills where just there because we killed onyxia in game but lorewise varian wyrnn was the one to kill her. I dont think that untill burning crusade evrey villain we killed was then killed officialy lorewise.

Yeah Arthas was possested by Frostmourne (Lich King's Weapon). He didn't wanted to kill Illidan or use him but he acted wrong as a Paladin. A paladin will never ever like vengance so he becomed a Death Knight.
@HeartedLover he can kill illidan any time and plus its a game not a real life story, so when u kill him or kill any boss they will still be alive. Mayb when the new patch comes they will do smthing about it
Yesterday i have finished ICC 10, but I wonder why as 3rd boss we have to do battle against Horde (Alliance side): Is a Garrosh' s idea to nail Alliance before reaching Arthas, or they don't want you to do battle with Saurfang junior in hope to restore to previous self?

I have done the chained quests to wraith gate twice times with tank and healer, but I was wondering why horde airship (3rd boss ICC) attacks Alliance ship and I have done some theories about its strange behaviour since Alliance and Horde under Argent Crusade armada are battling side by side against Lich King, so this attack in ICC is puzzling IMHO
oh, that i don't know why. i haven't been to icc but i knew it was saurfang from another video. it was probably because the horde want glory and all that junk. note that even though they're under the same banner they still don't like each other. remember in ToC how the alliance and horde argent crusaders sat on different sides
i think it has to do with who's reaching the summit first to reach the lich king... like back in WW2 when after the french were liberated they raced against the americans to reach the eagle's nest...
Epic trailer, nice to see Arthas father again. But about the logo. I can't help reading Fail of the Lich King every time I see it. Not that I think the patch fails, not at all. It's just that the first L looks more like a I to me :P
and like usual, no gnomes are present into these epic trailers and intros to not lessen its coolness.

If you look at it when he took up the mission to stop the plague and later on was enslaved, or whatever happened, by Ner'Zhul all that was happening was he wanted to save his people and to him this was saving them. Well according to Arthas novel he Arthas stabbed during his dream status after ascending to Frozen Throne both a frail child (his human good nature) and the old orc shaman (ner Zhul spirit) claiming that he no longer takes orders from anyone and then he awakens..the rest is WoW opening
But the scourge are defeated they dont need control,the alliance has reached icecrown citaded breaking every defense,the scourge are controling 1 low part of Azeroth how can they represent a threat,kind of unlogical.

the sword corrupted arthus´s soul, this allowed the lich king to wisper things to him and get him to come to the frozen throne to put on the amour.
the amour is what lets him control the scouge, not the sword.

Yesterday i have finished ICC 10, but I wonder why as 3rd boss we have to do battle against Horde (Alliance side): Is a Garrosh' s idea to nail Alliance before reaching Arthas, or they don't want you to do battle with Saurfang junior in hope to restore to previous self?

@cid76 it has nothing to do with the horde. do you remember the little cinematic about how saurfang and bolvar died? if you do, that's saurfang and if you don't then you need to find the video :P the lich king is making saurfang fight for him

I have done the chained quests to wraith gate twice times with tank and healer, but I was wondering why horde airship (3rd boss ICC) attacks Alliance ship and I have done some theories about its strange behaviour since Alliance and Horde under Argent Crusade armada are battling side by side against Lich King, so this attack in ICC is puzzling IMHO

oh, that i don't know why. i haven't been to icc but i knew it was saurfang from another video. it was probably because the horde want glory and all that junk. note that even though they're under the same banner they still don't like each other. remember in ToC how the alliance and horde argent crusaders sat on different sides

i think it has to do with who's reaching the summit first to reach the lich king... like back in WW2 when after the french were liberated they raced against the americans to reach the eagle's nest...

Epic trailer, nice to see Arthas father again. But about the logo. I can't help reading Fail of the Lich King every time I see it. Not that I think the patch fails, not at all. It's just that the first L looks more like a I to me :P

I feel pity on the lich king. If you look at it when he took up the mission to stop the plague and later on was enslaved, or whatever happened, by Ner'Zhul all that was happening was he wanted to save his people and to him this was saving them. To take up Frostmourne. To sacrifise himself to countless evils. Obviously it was to much. I feel sorry for Arthas because I feel he was betrayed. RIP Arthas Mentil "No King Will Rule Forever"

Arthas injured his heart in the fight with illidan so when he became the lich king the first thing he did was cut out his own heart to take away the last of his human characteristics

At times I think Azeroth is it's own enemy. The Horde and Alliance wage war upon one another, when demons and undead wait at both of their doorsteps.

Well according to Arthas novel he Arthas stabbed during his dream status after ascending to Frozen Throne both a frail child (his human good nature) and the old orc shaman (ner Zhul spirit) claiming that he no longer takes orders from anyone and then he awakens..the rest is WoW opening

It's true that there has to be a King for the Scourge, because they are mindless little beasts and will indeed run rampant and destroy all but their original leader (Ner'Zhul).
Based on speculation and data mining I'm personally leaning towards Bolvar..I won't ruin past that, but check out the fansites for the pictures.
