@elbow1 I think these naked bike rides are developing over time to include more women. But women still face in many areas of the world, not only in the states, the thought that they should be totally nude (and some areas even topless) as men can be. As was also explained to me on site on nudism (these naked bike rides are being practiced and done as protest by just nudist, they might have originally been, but when the last night ride in June 2010 in Chicago can garner up to 2000 people
@sneezyize at least over a half of that, so about 1200 or so that were totally nude, except for helmets, & shoes, & body paint, & a few with knee pads as I would do for such an event it isn't just nudist that are protesting in the way), anyway I digress just a bit -- as explained by the nudist site, men are usually raised to be more comfortable with their bodies as a whole, they are raised more often in situations around other men (think of showering in schools & gyms) & they are raised to
@sneezyize that it is okay (hopefully usually in private) to sexually explore their own bodies (yes, masturbation) more often than women are. (So, the so-called sexual revolution didn't quite keep up to what the promises made were).
