You have a structured-light 3D scanner?!? Where did you get it? Did you get it for a good deal? I am looking into buying one but I want to be sure to get for a good price at the right place. Great vid : )
@ElementalTJ I was using a Mac Pro with 6GB Ram and two 2.8Ghz Quad-Core Xeons. I think having a better GPU, higher resolution projector and camera would help out more.
I don't think you could do it live, just pre-record and load the and load the video file in to the software

Is it possible to do this with a Canon DSLR? How would I go about setting the camera source to the canon camera?

@DoggieDoubles Yes, It's DYI, it's just a PS3 Eye webcam, DLP projector and a PC running free software. Thanks

This is pretty cool!
I wonder if a laptop (MacBook Pro)
With those patterns flashing on screen with highest brightness can do the trick.
I can't really afford a projector just to try this out.

@dong2512 I don't think your lines would be sharp enough, but you could give it a try

is there any minimum hardware requirement to the camera? or can it be done with just any camera?
this is definitely cool!

The capture time is closer to 10sec, then 1min. This is just a quick test, if people want I might make a full how on this.
