My mother is doing ok. she is now battling M.S. but she tough and is still doing great. when she first found out she had a video on Youtube she was shocked to say the least but she said she fears for myself and for my sister and wont speak up to any one to answer "what ever happened to her"

@domnatr91 I am so thrilled that your mom has reconnected with me. I first saw her skate when she won Intermediate Ladies at the Pacific Coasts Championships way back when. I was thrilled and honored when I finally got to work with here in the show. xo

What ever happened to her ? she was rather a "tight" package then, maybe injuries.

There were news reports at the time that she had difficulty with ulcers.....and i suppose stress. Since we now know ulcers are caused by a bacteria, it is a shame she left the sport just a few years to early. best wishes

Barbara placed 4th in the 1975 US nationals. She landed a triple jump combination in both her short and long as well as a second different triple in her long.(salchow and toe). She placed second in the long program.

 In 1976, she was injured and had to withdraw from the 1976 US nationals after the school figures.

I miss these fast, powerful, and solid skaters from those days...maybe Yuka Sato was the last of such skaters?

With all the triples and the intricate moves, only "delicate" girls seem to do well in the sport these days...

And, k9henrydog, that's true. Moiseyev music was pretty frequently used by Fassi skaters.

How wonderful to see this again!!! Thanks so much.......Carlo Fassi must really have loved this music! Yet another skater to use it....I first heard it with Julie Lynn Holmes.....
