Looks good to me! But Jeanne is right, you may wanna lighten up a bit. Maybe something like City Beat on Channel 8 long ago? However, the content was great! Would want to visit those places soon.
A good, informative and well-researched program. Very professionally done too I can see. However given how the film is meant to be have a slant toward entertainment and its supposed to target young adults, the presentation style could've been less 'formal'/rigid. At some points it resembled the nine o clock news (dunno if you were going for that effect though). I think you could've afforded to have more fun and jazzed it up a little. However all said - well done! Still a fantastic effort.
The presentation of the video is clear and the transition is smooth. Content wise, I find it is interesting because it gives an insight to places which I never know as a Singaporean.
The presentation of the video is clear and the transition is smooth. Content wise, I find it is interesting because it gives an insight to places which I never know as a Singaporean.
Good, interesting content. Presentation-wise, the introductions and captions can definitely be improved. The formality (or should I say informality) of the captions did not suit the target audience.
The video introduced quite a few interesting places to visit. The segments are short and sweet, bringing out the curiosity in me to visit some of the places.
wow! didn't know such places existed before! it really has given me a fresh new look at our country.. presentation wise, it's not bad, quite professional! great job! d(^-^)b
hello (: i think the production is good but i'm just rather mindful of the subtext. As the subtext is white, the words get a bit hard to see when the background is white or light-coloured.
A very nice and good production. Giving me so many elements of surprises. The scenes are very nicely directed and efforts were shown. Would glady watch other productions from this team!
I think the reporting could be improved upon, but the camera angles, the way the scenes flowed from one to another and the presentation was excellent. Well done!
sinema old school!!exciting.nice nice! =) the graphics can be improved on of course but the CONTENT is what counts more =) love the fresh ideas. liked the beginning scenes.think the concept tied in very well with the title too =)
great job! very confident, though i feel that some of the speakers are still too uptight. and of course, we do always do with more smiles. it'll make lighten the atmosphere and make it more natural. =)
kelong 51!!! freshen up is a very good concept. i love the beginning with all the fresh stuff like (squeezing oranges or smelling flowers) really like that idea to bring out the FRESH concept. excellent.
1. those were really interesting places featured, especially the kelong, although sinema has been around for some time already.
2. philip is quite a natural at hosting.
3. the maid story would have been better if the reporter asked the maid about the challenges of the job as well, in addition to the positive part of marrying her love for cosplay and the pay.
philip!! shuaidai le! haha sinema old school segment is really well done, i like the opening sequence for this clip as well..set up the light hearted mood for the whole clip
it's so cool that singapore has so many undiscovered interesting places! The whole clip was colourfully and wonderfully done, and the news were rather professionally presented! However, the reporters seem a little rigid in their speaking and actions.
that was really good! could have come straight out of channel 5 / arts central's programme. got me itching to try out some of the featured places, and the reporters speak well too. good job!
the places you guys introduced are very interesting and definitely refreshing! have been hearing about Old School and after watching your video, i really want to go down and take a look for myself!
Hey, good work. Great deal of professionalism displayed and the concepts are interesting too. Never knew of such places in Singapore existed. Keep it up!
I think this is professionally produced as well. The coverage over the various subjects was fresh and very interesting. I could tell that a lot of efforts went into this!
It's a really nice programme that you all should keep up with. anyway, it is really a good idea too to put this up on youtube too share with the online citizens, considering that it is a school project.
I hope to see more of such works from you people. Anchors and presenters were fantastic!
Its very professionally done and is definitely worth the watch!!! The visuals are appealing and crisp, and the Kelong looks really really good! Nice news leads!!
Keep it up ppl=)Awaiting more videos like these...
i thoroughly enjoyed this video! can be aired on tv man :) i find the content pretty interesting and most importantly, it's really informative! totally didn't know of all these places in Singapore. i had always thought of singapore as a boring place but the mode of delivery of this video made me realise that there's more to Singapore than just being a tiny red dot!
I think the episode was very professionally done. narration was aptly interspersed with interviewees' comments. the visual effects were also surprisingly easy on the eyes despite its homemade feel. in addition, the idea of sharing seemingly hidden and unknown places has an addictive allure to it, much like being let in on a secret. That this is spread outside of mainstream media (via youtube) adds to its underground flavour. i thoroughly enjoyed this video. i do hope this isn't a one-off thing.
hey thats good stuff man.. nice reporting, nice content, interesting finds. the whole thing was quite professionally done and i think you guys should go on TV and replace useless coma inducing shows such as "my sassy neighbour" etcetc. goodjob
Love the contents that this video has covered. Extremely interesting and the way that it was presented and expressed was easily understood. Never knew Singapore had a Kelong!!
Woah this is really cool! Discovering new places in Singapore. I particularly like Sinema in this clip. Seems like the whole team has put in a lot of hardwork and it is really well executed. The opening sequence rocks!!!
interesting concept of introducing a fresh perspective of singapore. many ppl find singapore too small and feel like they have experienced everything. although well edited, freshen up feels more like a promo stint by the various companies shown more than an informative newscast. great effort and keep it up!
very good effort which eventually led to an interesting program. i think the team behind this production deserves more than just a pat on the back. well done guys, well done.
not bad! you guys have interesting topics that most people wouldn't know about - like the cafe place and kelong 51. well edited and done in a professional manner.
the voice-overs and enunciation probably could be improved, though. some voice overs sound professional, but some were a little too 'heartland-ish' with odd pauses in between. the anchor does a good job of keeping a smiling face... but trying to do that for too long might be a little weird and overt.
Woah Jireh Chew... Indeed we are exposed to so much Western influence that apparently the accent must be western as well... Luckily in our local films people don't talk like that.
wow, you guys did an awesome job - no sarcasm there - REALLY! this is really professionally done, interesting and eye-catching. very informative, you guys aced it la. i dare say, it's better than mine!? heh. but congrats on a job well done!
totally LOVE the opening segment! =) very refreshing, intriguing and brings a smile to my face =) the places featured are really unique and not ordinary places where youths normally go, but i'm sure after this clip more people will be inspired to make a trip down! *thumbs up!* all of your hard work really paid off =)
Overall, this newscast is well edited, much like what i would see on channelnewsasia. I have got to give you props for that. The places you visited were interesting and definately caught my attention. However, you could have assigned a single reporter and voice over narrator to speak throughout the entire program instead of constantly changing them (preferably the group member with the best command of english). This would allow more consistancy and flow. Other than that, a job well done. :)
I have to say... VERY IMPRESSED! great work, nice scope, technicalities are quite well-thought about, i would actually tune in for a next episode if there is! i think e only weaker piece is e anime cafe, pacing is a little rushed, but in general all the pieces are coherrent, story flow is great, ideas clear and very attractive indeed! The anchor is very involved, which is a good thing as he doesn't seem like juz a link, but act as an audience figure for the pieces. looking forward to part 2~!
Good programme! Philip the Presenter rocks with his unbridled enthusiasm and cheery smile! XD Very clean feel to the format and arrangement of stories.
Minor quibble: There were no supers in the story for CosplayCafe although the kelong and Sinema ones did. So Valerie, doing her standup (or sitdown), wasn't identified as the reporter.
very unique recommendations and fresh ideas. content was good. i think the video was quite professionally done as well - down to the music during the introduction and credits. the food person (awarding the tomatoes) was very engaging as a presenter.
good work. We only produced smethg tis major when we got to year three.
Only problem would be that all the pieces in the video seem to be glued to some kinda convention, thus the sign-offs ala geri +pomfret. But then again, we're in school so sticking to the convention is the way to go.
well done,
xy
P.S.You need more search words also, nobody is going to find that video like that right?
