  • @ThatTheatreFreak it would be bad if it didn't

  • He didn't need fireworks, or a parade, or anything. The entire opening day celebration could have been that speech, and it would have been the greatest opening day celebration ever. Because those words are true.

  • Is it bad that this made me cry?

  • Still have not been to Disneyland. Disney World, lots, but not the original. To be in the park that Walt actually walked through will be a huge thrill when it happens.

  • Happy Anniversary, Disneyland! Happiest Place on Earth...I miss you so much.

  • Happy Birthday Disneyland!

  • Happy 56th Anniversary Disneyland! - July 17th 2011!!!!

  • Short-sweet-simple- and memorable and filled with more meaning than most of my generation can possibly comprehend.

  • And if he turned on Disney XD or the Disney channel today, he would be ashamed. Almost angered I bet.

  • To all who come to this happy place. Welcome. Says it all right there.

  • disney lives forever

  • i totally live by the words of this guy, and i just LOVE DISNEY =)

  • Well I just totally balled it at this one!

    Long Live Imagination. :)

  • your welcome walt

  • this video gives me goosebumps disney was a MAN

  • Happy 55th Anniversary Disneyland! I hope the imagination never dies!

  • Happy 55th Disneyland!

  • Happy 55th birthday, Disneyland

  • Happy 55th Anniversary Disneyland!!!! July 17th 2010

  • The greatest opening dedication speeches of all time.

We all miss you! And what would Walt Disney say to Disneyland, California Adventure, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, & Animal Kingdom? What took you so long. I hope to see you in the afterlife.

  • if walt lived longer and epcot materialized, walt may have become president and truly achieved his dreams of changing the world

  • Damn modern society. Damn them. Some of the best rides at Disneyland were changed because of mothers complaining it scared their children, so they replaced them with generic happy rides.

  • This video had me drowning in my own tears by the end. Thank you so very much for uploading this.

Walt Disney was superhuman. Dare I say it, he may be my greatest hero and inspiration. I grew up watching his movies, going to his theme parks, and living my childhood to the absolute fullest.

Bless Walt for bringing so much joy to many children and families.

  • walt as also been my hero

  • i could not have said it any better. i was also crying at the end of this. my whole life, disney has been the one thing that has been the one thing to make me happier than anything else has been able to.

    god bless walt disney.

  • @JazziiMeee Your soo right. I cry my eyes out when I watch this.

Walt Disney was an amazingly and insperation man, I love his movies and going to Disneyland too. I wish he could see what he has achieved!

  • @JazziiMeee Indeed. Because of Walt and his legacy, magic really does exist.

May you Rest in peace Walt. Thanks so much for giving ur magic to the world. :)

  • i can recite that like the pledge of alegance! walt was a ledgend!

  • This speech makes me cry every time.

    Walt, we love you, man.

  • Me too:)

I thank Walt every time I go to Disneyland!:)

He truly changed America with Disneyland:)

  • This video is beyond the word great :)

  • What a world this place would be if Walkt Disney were President of United States....(It's cool we've got Barack, but I've always dreamed about "what if Disney didn't die?")

  • Disney is forever one of my heros my life wouldnt be the sam without him

  • If I could Bring anyone back from the dead it would be Walt Disney, fo' sho'!

  • great

  • walt disney is a hero and still is and i will never forget what he has done for us in the past life with out him would of sucked compared to how we have student ambassadors and family friendly movies. that you Walt for what you did. even though you not here you still are doing something for the world thank you

  • Life without Disney would never be the same! I love Disneyland favorite theme park, I watch Disney Channel favorite channel, I even listen to Radio Disney (Sometime I like and stuff) he opened so many doors for us to enjoy, to bad he couldn't see what an amazing job he did for us all!

    RIP: Walt Disney

    You'll always be remembered!

  • Walt was, and always will be an amazing man.

Life without him, what he had created, well, i know there would be a Big peice of myself missing if it never happened.

He is a true Inspiration to us all, that dreams can come true..No matter what...No matter who you are, or what you do.

"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them."

One of my favorite Walt disney quotes.

But, his opening speach will always send shivers down my spine, and bring a tear to my eye.

  • He will forever live in our hearts.

    Thank you, Walt.

And thank you, Freedogshampoo for uploading all of this.

  • Definately, well said. This quote makes me cry as well. Walt Disney is truely my hero (=

  • walt was a genious.

    :D

  • Where did you get this video clip??

  • This quote makes me cry every time I view it.

  • My most favorite Walt Disney quote :)

  • dude love it big disney fan

  • I used this quote for my conclusion of my tribute speech to this amazing man. It's sad that he's no longer with us, but as long as the spirit of his ideas lives on, then he'll still be here. :D

  • Right on. Walt may be gone, but his spirit lives in his parks. Always remember "Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world"

  • to all who come to this happy place WAFFLE

i seriously dont here welcome at all, just waffle

  • Oh my gosh... Waffle... That's awesome.

  • I recently did a report on Walt Disney, and I had to read a biography on him. After I read the sentence where he passed away, I started to cry.

    Truly, this man was amazing.

    Thanks for posting! :D

  • last year, in my english class, we were assigned to read a biography as well, but we were not told what the actual work part would be. I picked Walt Disney, thinking it would be awesome to write a report on a man i consider such an inspiration. When we were told what to do, I was in total shock, but in a good way. We had to dress up like our character, bring a prop, and "tell our story." It was kool. for my prop, i brought in a stuffed mickey, and i did the best i could to dress up like walt.

  • Walter Elias Disney, you rock!

  • gives me the chills

  • beautiful!!!

  • is that walt disney? O_O..

  • Why yes, I do believe it is.

  • This man has a beautiful mind. I was in tears when i found out this man had died! and yet his spirit still lives in my heart and my kids' hearts.

  • Even though am 16....*sniff* i still love Disney.

  • hah! im 24 and i just spent 4 days at disneyland with my girlfriend for our anniversary! ill be at the magic kingdom next year!
