OLTA had a couple of gems - but that's it. This CD - I never thought these words would come out of my mouth - sucks.  Barricade is "jumpy", dancy - radio friendly, the video for Lights (which really is a good song) was sick, I loved the art direction - but this cd - I almost cried on how bad. I just saw them in Chicago last month - it was an AWESOME show, they even did a couple of oncores - which was nice cause the two previous shows I attended were awfully short.

I hate to say this, but it seems to be going downhill for Interpol. I absolutely love the first two albums, but some of the awkwardness and offkey charachteristics are slowly fading away from them, which is a shame, since its getting too mainstream imo.

I've been a fan of Interpol practically forever but I don't know. This album most of the songs seem so different. I can still notice the complex sound of the band but I don't know, perhaps too much voice modification? Like the synthesizers? I don't know, somethings different though.

Interpol is amazing. The more you listen to it, the more you will like it. They have a few new sounds in their music and I had to get used to it at first. You will realize the new sounds are modern and absolutely fit the style without overtaking it. I listened to the album about ten times driving on PCH along the coast of California.
