  • Så otroligt vackert spelat, du är verkligen en bra inspirationskälla!

  • Do u need a capo?

  • No,

It only makes it more like the original lute tuning.

    Per-Olov

  • Master playing! I can play all the notes, but it is a far reach for me to get the atmosphere of music as you created.

  • This is incredible

  • This is the best version of this musical piece, congratulations!

  • This piece sounds very baroque at times. Dowland was definitely an experimenter. Sounds great!

  • Xuefai Yang opened her recent concert at the Wigmore Hall with this piece, maybe a touch slower, very beautiful romantic even, always a pleasure to listen to you Peo and Xuefai of course.

  • Hi! Really? I didn't think she played pieces like this. Thanks for telling me.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • Well done Master Kindgren, very well done indeed.

  • Thank you. I am sorry for not seeing this until now.

I hope you are still listening to me.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • I love Dowland on the lute but your playing is really magic and I enjoy listening to your guitar. Charming.Thank you for sharing.

  • Man, it's like a dream.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • Very nicely played.

  • Thanks a lot!

  • it really is "a cry for help", very soulful performance. Can u PLEASE send me the sheet via e-mail ? Greetings from Greece Master

  • Thank you.

I am sorry but I cannot. But if you look at Google, you will find the tabs and then write it as Sheet music. This is from a book I bought with John Dowland complete music. by Diana Poulton.

    Good luck!

  • by the way do you have a video of dowlands fantasia?

  • sounds great mr kindgren

  • Thank you. I am happy you like it. I love Dowland. He has meant a lot to me in my approach to music.

To answer your other comment: no I have played many of his Fantasias but never videoed it. Some day maybe.

    Kindly,

    Peo

  • Saludos...relamente buena interpretacion.tengo curiosidad en saber que guitarra usas y cual es el progarama para grabar el audio.un saludo cordial desde venezuela. Richard Arellano

  • Hola Richard. Muchas gracias. On this video, I use an Alhambra 11P guitar. And I use the mic in the camcorder. Simpel and inexpensive.

    Kindly,

    Peo

  • Very nice. I agree with styland, this piece is very dramatic. This piece is like a vague thought coming to light and clarity. Here, let me listen again!! (and again)

  • Dear Amy... thanks for your words. I like to think of this as a cry for help... I don't know why...

Maybe I felt like that while playing.

  • very nice

  • What a stunning and dramatic piece of music! And so beautifully played! Many thanks for all your Dowland pieces. I hope we can have one of the Dowland Fantasias some time...

  • Very good. Best rendition of this piece ive ever heard.

BTW are you recording in a sauna? lol!

  • Hihi. Thanks! No I have a very big house and this is a big empty room on 1st floor.

    Kind regards,

    Peo

  • Thank you Mr. Kindgren! Gorgeous playing and music.

I would like to purchase the transcription if available.

  • es algo peculiar porque no hay preludios de dowland, nuevamente me parece una interpretación en el tempo de la época, desde México, un saludo...renato...

  • Dear jaimeRenat: yes there is one (1) Prelude from Dowland! One of the last pieces he wrote. (see Diana Poulton biography)

  • gracias alguna vez tuve el libro ese (hopefully you read spanish, sir)vagamente lo recuerdo, pero tengo la edición en faccimil de Robert D. "Varietie..." una vez mas señor toca usted a Dowland bello, con el estilo renacimiento alquimia musical, tiempo... do we exagerate in sayiny that both listeners and player do the same function at hearing a piece by Dowland?

  • Thanx for sharing!

  • You'r welcome! And thanks for all your positive comments. Much appreciated!

    Peo

  • Awesome. Can't say more than this.
