Patevi your post makes no sense. 55pts for a necromancer base cost. Taking more vampires possibly with some "The master" skills would also increase the survivability of your army. I love using Tomb blade on a level 2 vampire with Lord of the dead and 15 or so skeletons to punish infantry.

ethereal critters against this Dark elf army would also be good considering both leadership and immunity to cold ones really. Its intresting that we don't see VC magic phases in these Videos.

if you play cold one knights pay the points for units of 10, give full command as well, its only 310 points, maybe even throw in a magic banner, its well worth it, if you luck out & go syupid well thats part of the game.

okay, here is my advice for the vampire counts player:

1. beef up your vampire with some combat equipment or just make him count as Mannfred the acolyte (he is a beast)

2. add more magic power such as another vampire or necromancer (necro's are 55 points by the way) or even another corpse cart.

3. if you want to take out blood knights, then try adding grave guard and a varghulf

this is my first time seeing a actual game of the warhammer table top game and it looks amazingly fun . i play warhammer online and wonder if vampire counts would be put in the game later.

also i have a question about vampire counts. arent they part of destruction ?

Not every army fits easily into Destruction or order. The terms or groups aren't actually used in the Warhammer table top games, just on AoR. There was a campaign a few years back where chaos and other evil armies made an incursion against the Empire and their allies (Pretty much what is going on in AoE) and I think I remember the Vampire counts just kept to themselves and killed whoever came onto their territory, which was mostly Chaos I think.

The video game has little too do with the tabletop game every army is against every army unless they make an uneasy alliance against a bigger Faction E.G Empire and drawfs teaming up too bring down a large number of choas etc

When the Chariot flank-charged your Cold One Knights, you said "I hold, by the way". Just so you know (you probably did anyway...), you had no choice, you don't get a charge reaction if you're already in combat. ;)

You know, you could probably get away with a cheap webcam and doing a live-stream game on stickam sometime. Just set the cam up over-top of the game table with your laptop and stream it live while doing a capture with windows movie maker. Though, you'll have to edit it down if it gets too large a file.

Shawn won.  I feel weird. One of the core opperating principles of the universe, as I understood it, has proven false, sending my mind into a state of disequilibrium.

It's been a few days, and my brain is still reorganizing itself--sorting through old data, comparing seemingly contradictory memories, and basically tossing out any schema that is incompatible with this new information.

Yea ! I forone play Dark elves and i gotta say, ive won alot ofgames with them ! a quick word of advice, for vampire counts i would cut down on so much infantry and instead just have "gum" units to stixk the enemy in that unit and then allow you to flank , rear charge and utterly crush them ! but HEY 35 POINTS for level 1 Wizard, Heck a Sorceress IS level 1 and is 100 Points ! , although she does have Druchii Magic rule!
