Why must war and religion divide us? We are all humans who share many things in life including the world we live in and a common creator/ancestor. Even if everyone believes in a different creation story, it is not knowing who truly created us that matters, but the fact that we are created to begin with and that everyone is one big family as a result of this creator/ancestor, which is how we should treat each other. Life is valuable, so don't waste it.

Really amazing story line.. True depth in the characters however short while we had to see them for, we could relate to the sadness in the mother's eyes right from the beginning. The innocence of the kid yet understanding he has. The wisdom in the old man was depicted in a few glances and so was the beauty of the animation... Great work!!!

what was the purpose of this ... the technical effort is mediocre at best and the story does not even begin to encompass the horrors experienced by the people and more so trivializes it which is callous and dripping with naivette.

The simplicity and innocence of a child seeing the world without understanding but just reacting to his feelings reveals a humanity that connects us all. Yes it isn't complex, yes, it doesn't show everything that happened, yes it isn't many crores worth of CGI, but, with all respect, that's not the point. It moves the heart and brings out the child in all viewers.

@kirtankkkk - I think that if a muslim made a video about a hindu saving them, because of the high assertions that have been made, people may start to believe that they are only making it because they want to show the world that they were victimized, when in fact Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims were ALL victimized because of the British who were colonizing. 1) British Colonialists worked on a "Divide & Rule" concept which was easier to mobilize to suit themselves 2) There were many.. @kirtankkkk 2) There were many Muslims and yet still as a minority they had no autonomy, were treated unwell and identities were mobilized. 3) The Indian elite which were usually Hindu actually didn't want the partition, they wanted a secular state and so did 4) There was communal conflict between them because of the British colony. These were basically the reasons why there was a partition. This kind of occurrence happened on both sides. (This comment was directed to everyone, not just you).

Really amazing story line.. True depth in the characters however short while we had to see them for, we could relate to the sadness in the mother's eyes right from the beginning. The innocence of the kid yet understanding he has. The wisdom in the old man was depicted in a few glances and so was the beauty of the animation... Great work!!!

what was the purpose of this ... the technical effort is mediocre at best and the story does not even begin to encompass the horrors experienced by the people and more so trivializes it which is callous and dripping with naivette.

@noxiousnirvana this is a student work; and for the amount of time he had to complete it, he has done an exemplary .. for a 6 min film he has wonderfully presented a glimpse of the horror in this beautiful, simple story... this person will do a great job in the future just you wait!!

@noxiousnirvana This, for me, contained a very important & emotive message about the irrationality of what happened/s today. The simplicity and innocence of a child seeing the world without understanding but just reacting to his feelings reveals a humanity that connects us all. Yes it isn't complex, yes, it doesn't show everything that happened, yes it isn't many crores worth of CGI, but, with all respect, that's not the point. It moves the heart and brings out the child in all viewers.

@imsurfingthesky good animation isnt bound by monetary considerations ... in addition i was commenting on the brazenness of taking a sensitive issue for many and making it into a backdrop of something which can be seen as a frivolous attempt at demonstrating a point.
such an epochal event shouldnt have been subjected to such irresponsibility just to demonstrate a point which might have positive facets but is not you might say respectful of the carnage and its importance to many ppl n families

@noxiousnirvana Again, with all due respect, you seem to miss the point. It is honouring that 'epochal event' and making it one which more people can understand, relate to, empathise with. Understanding and empathy are the bonds that create strong societies and heal such rifts. This video will speak to the hearts of viewers regardless of which side of the fence they are. It does not intend to belittle the sufferings of those caught up in the horror. It seeks to commemorate it- "lest we forget".
