I was always under the impression this song is about a native American turning to the Lord, in some intuitive understanding of the Gospel before it had offically reached him. Why do I have that impression?

this has been my theme song for years. having been stricken w/ m.s. i was always assured he "wld not leave me nor forsake me". this disease has progressed to the point that i can no longer care for myself. but jesus has provided ppl who r tryly called to fill my many needs. PTL!
This song transcends even religion. It is spiritual and makes me feel strong and comforted!
