If its good Cream covers you want take a look at Creamful, a new band from London. They have a superb guitarist who plays in vintage Clapton style, and with a Firebird. Great stuff!
perhaps clapton didnt use wah sometimes when he played the song, but i'm sure that he uses wah some of the time, and it really, how clapton plays it doesnt relate to this video, because its a cover and part of doing covers is doing it your own way.

Ya by the way he uses a crybaby pedal for this song in the original, and he always did. An Ibeanrz tubescreamer and a crybaby wah.

This is a great cover!! The drummer sounds more true to Ginger Baker than Ginger Baker on the 2005 reunion tour! (Sorry mr. Baker)

I like quality covers like this when I work my own guitar parts out for the song. It's a matter of working out your own set of problems. Thanks.

Great cover...just lacking that nasally crybaby sound but great playing.. enjoyed it.

very creditable cover, and would be a terrific gig. matey gets a little carried away on the guitar solo perhaps but very Cream like .

I'm pretty sure he uses a tremelo effect which he kicks in for the lead parts--at least on the original.

Not bad.... CREAM is not an easy band to copy, Drums were a little mushy not crisp like Baker. Nice try.

Good playing but wah wah is essential on this tune...
StinkingHombre 4 years ago
I agree a wah wah makes it sound more like the original, but i wouldn't say it's essential by any means.
Without one the lead player still does a fantastic job, almost plays it as well as clapton does imo.
evilgnome69 4 years ago
I agree, I could never play it right, than I got a crybaby and everything sounded great.

What equipment does the guitarist use? A very good sound. Please reply, I am looking to buy more equipment to make me sound more like "Cream"

really enjoyed that -- more than the Cream Reunion Concert, for that matter. great clapton feel on the solo.
