  • the oil seems to have been used for a very long time.

  • Hi

  • I just hope people realize that were all human beings on this earth.I know a lot of Asians don't like east Indian people and I find it wrong.I am Asian myself, but at least I treat all human beings with respect.

  • dirty fuckin curry filths they are

  • at then i got diarrhea DONT EAT THAT CRAP PEOPLE, INDIANS WIPE THEIR ASS WITH THEIR LEFT HAND

  • You need a good immune system to enjoy street food, in UK we eat baked beans and yet leave gas in public.

  • This is less fried than dunkin doughnuts btw

  • Some people on here need to stop being ignorant. This food is a-lot cleaner than you think. The problem for westerners like myself was the water, but your body adjusts eventually and there is no problem.

  • @mrceebees14 ...kiss my ass!! Westener shit!! Ur just a fucking Indian boy!

  • @johnwest360 What is your serious problem man? I am not Indian and I am not a boy.

  • Very fattening, ideal if you're in a poor country who works 14 hours a day which will sure burn all those calories.

  • OMGG I'm so hungryyyy! Looks delish :O

  • I didn't see anything unhygienic at all.

PS: Indian food is the bomb.

  • @tiddilywink

What about the guy who picks up the, whatever it is, with his fingers and puts it on the plate? The problem with having food in an open public place like a street is that it just invites germs and bacteria through the air, all because the majority of people don't care about covering their mouths during a sneeze or a cough, never mind not washing their hands after the toilet. It all looks tasty but I wouldn't eat any of it because of where and how it's cooked.

  • @Lolp821 The fact they are outside would actually make it harder for airborne germs to survive, especially when the area and the food are this hot. If you are an American like I am then we have little room to be talking about other cultures "cleanliness" when it comes to food preparation. The problem for most westerners is the water, which is dirty and therefore is almost always boiled before serving. But your body adjusts eventually, just like these people had to when they were very young.

  • unfortunately I cant eat this :(

  • Mooh me paani aagaya yaaar... Yummmy

  • i noe shit ppl we india atleast fuking clean our asses or wsh em with water not jus wipe em so stfu..thnk u :)

  • eat it directly with your hand *without spoon or fork*, thats the best!! \^^/

  • @kimriya why not xD

  • U white people saying it a dirty food?? okay! we accept it! it is a dirty food! then what? we people are strong, with excellent immune system n digestion power.. we are not like u fuckin white asses which cant even tolerate a direct sunlight! u people r cancer prone.. u dont eat good food n so almost all of you suffer from constipation.. LOL! shame on humans like you.!

  • I WANAAA HAVE SUMM PLZZZ :(

  • People, stop talking about Hygenes... Western Fast Food restaurants sell you unhygenic shit anyways...

  • bring!......bbrrinNGG!!...bRRINNGGG!!...damnit it's not working. (sigh)

  • Hygienic? Everything is deep fried in 350 degree oil. Nothing's living on any of it. I'd try all this crap. Indian food rocks. Although everything shown here will make your heart explode from fat.

  • It's funny to read comments about hygiene and all, while they have no problem eating mac donalds...

  • @Domna7 Excellent point, fast food has GMO's, and foods that are grown with all sorts of pesticides. alot of ingnorant people in the world.

  • yummy....:0''''

  • Thanks God they dont spit in your food while making it in the back of the kitchen finding you to be a NOSY Customer !!

  • Eat NOW!

    Die LATER!

  • problem is you can't seperate indian people from cool people to stupid people cuz they all look the same, stuck in 70's i might say

  • DIRTY FOOD!!!

  • "food is tasty but its not hygienic"... and you think that the crap that's pushed through your local fast food joint window is "hygienic"? Really?? Ever seen the kind of crap that goes on in the BACK of a kitchen??? At least here you'd see the guy stick snot on your food... not so at a fast food joint!

  • the oil is recycled for like 1 month to save the cost LOL

  • the food is tasty but its not hygienic at all.

  • Yum that looks good

  • I'm currently studying to be a health professional and honestly even I would eat "street food" like this if I traveled abroad. People have been doing it for years and it's part of the culture.

As long as the food stall and the people preparing the food are clean, organized, well-liked by the locals, and the food is delicious, then I'd say it's worth it.

  • mmmh I love Indian food all that great spices hmmmm!!

  • india is the most dangerous place to eat food outside of restaurants.. my dad went there and was ill half the time because he ate some food... I do not recommend to eat on the street in india...

  • street food is the best, that's where all the variety comes in. I used to work in McDonald's, i can tell you the kitchen is very clean, regular inspections and such, but you never know what the hell did those ppl to the patties and shit back in the factory, where most of the ppl don't see.

  • Heart Attack & Co. Ltd?

  • I was just hungry before...now I`m starving and too bone idle to make something..

  • But of course people NEVER EVER get sick from food poisoning in say The USA?

  • The MAJORITY of the people who get sick in india do so from eating from these unhygenic street vendors!

  • @MrJapWannabe lol really ? have you lived in India idiot ? just like every other country with street food, MAJORITY of ppl buy street food on a daily basis, they don't get sick. people in India get sick because of pollution and condition on living, not street vendors.

  • @psykad3lic actually.. i have lol, and trust me ive visited india a few times aswell and pollution and condition of living? how about the condition of these food vendors serving you crap

  • @MrJapWannabe what they are serving is fresh food hand made food, the hygiene level is not as clean as you would find in a developed country, seriously if you are this concerned why don't you buy some cleaning products and some gloves and give to the 300,000 street vendors in India. to be honest i feel much safer eating this than eating MacDonald's or any other fast food loaded with preservatives. lol one more thing.. how clean do you think fast restaurants are in the west ?

  • @psykad3lic Hygiene and food vendors just dont go together dont use them in the same sentence..

anyways I dont actually eat from fast food restaurants but i have worked at two when i was in high school and its not that bad, good enough for my standards..

and im only saying people get sick from eating from these food vendors because i have :( haha

  • indian street food is great, all those having problems with hygiene maybe were born from a sterilized water pipe.. ;-)

  • Looks gooooood!!!!!!!

  • at least they wash after toilet not wipe

  • @omania100 i have tried it for several times, and your as is never clean after just washing it !!! My point is you are walking around with dirty ass u silly!

  • @Monster73717 OMG reading ur reply just makes me feel how "Hygienic" u r, hahaha.silly!!

  • OH FUCK that looks good. I went to Pakistan and had a bunch of street food and was totally fine. We (brown) are a resilient people, unlike you WEAK white folks

  • That"s it I am going to India xD

    I AM HUNGRY :-)

  • Does "Delhi belly Traveler's diarrhea" says something to you? I got an stomach infection for 4 days eating those things, I had to take pills for a week, am serious. I think the problem is that some people doesn't have any idea of hygiene, just watch, are they using gloves or mask to handle the food? NO!. Does most of butchers here use their feet to cut mutton and chicken meat? YES! please take care when you all eat street food here. There are some good restaurants in Hotels and malls. Regards

  • @vinceching1 Haha.. buddy... when u r really clean den u wont need a glove.. :P moreover the thng what u were saying only happens when u weren't dat easy on spice... u need to build up ur resistant towards india spice.. indian spice are different from other spices... and ya.. many ppl eat it and dey aren't getting sick dat much.. der are exceptions everywhere frnd.. :) :)

  • *homerdrool*

  • This look delicious!

  • i love indian street foods

  • I don't see what all the fuss is about. Must watch? Why? It's pretty boring.

  • I get diarea only from watching this

  • We were stood waiting in a local UK McDonald's watching a cook there coughing all over the food when really he should have been in bed at home. Needless to say we cancelled the order and left.

We're warned to be wary of street food if we go abroad, but you get the same result anywhere if the staff don't follow even basic hygene rules. I'd be more likely to eat something deep fried rather than a salad cos at least hot oil will sterilize if it cooks long enough.

  • Jesus Christ people. If you're afraid to eat food prepared by someone who isn't wearing a HAZMAT suit, don't eat it. Save it for the rest of us.

  • What camera please?

  • The Indian domestic culture is more conscious of cleanliness than any other I've ever encountered. It took me a long, long time to learn the rules: right/left hand. which parts of the body are clean/dirty, what you can and can't touch, point, etc. If you watch the moves in this film, how carefully the clean and dirty are separated, (without even having to think about it) you'll see it's a damn sight cleaner than your average western fast-food joint.

  • To all you racist shits that think indian people are unhygienic, why don't you stop and think for a sec? maybe you'll figure out that a lot of people in india are too fucking poor to even feed themselves, and most indians have kids and families to feed as well, they don't got the money to think of how hygienic the food there selling to people are, they need to get money to eat and live and raise there families! and regular indian families that can afford a better living are hygienic..retards

  • @iHeartMarshmellos if your poor then dont have fuckin kids retards

  • Looks superyummy but 5000 calories each?

  • what about a diarea after this ? :)

  • Angeo007, you rock ;) proud to be Indian !!!

  • Good food - Bad hygiene

  • Mmmm OM NOM NOM~ :3

  • poverty striken scum dont have money to buy soap-do you think they wash their hands after wiping their dark and skinny asses?

  • their fukin dal looks like loose motion.guess thats why theyve got sick minds

  • Comment removed

  • it s not higienic to touch food with hands , why dont u learn it

  • i'M ACTUALLY MORE annoyed that hey are eating while satanding, but thats a personal thing

  • I'm not racist, but if you don't came from asia or india, never eat this shit! bTheres a thousand of new microbes which your body don't know. And probably you'll spent who0le vacation at hospital.

  • Cooked food displayed & served. Who cares about the dust that is filled in the air that may get deposited on the cooked food. Who cares abt flies &insects that sits in all garbage and all sorts of filth also cover these cooked foods, who cares about the bare hands of the dirty cook who uses his hands otherwise too.. who cares about the oil that has been used over and over. We Indians never have clean habits or worry about hygeine. I admit that. Thank God I keep away from these filth.

  • Food is Food, you can get a disease even if you eat at alain ducasse restaurant and be hale and hearty if you eat from here. YOU NEED TO HAVE IMMUNITY :-)

  • God was making bread - the first one was not baked properly and he threw it and America was formed. Next one he baked was charred black and burnt and he threw it - Africa was formed. Then he realised how to make perfect bread golden and with a good blend - he placed it gently and INDIA was formed. :-)

  • I bet it tastes nicer than McDonalds.

  • If you eat their dal down the shitter you'll fall.

  • is the oil healthy ? the color is dark black :(

  • @GE12ZM ...That's what the food makes delicious ..used oil.. lol

  • I don't know but I have a feeling if you were to squeeze those breads/pancakes a whole lot of oil would drip out of them!

  • I feel hungry after watching this video.

  • The false claiming superpower India DONT know what "Serving Spoon" is. Fuck! serving to customers food in bare dirty hands! They are proud of this.

  • @johnwest360 Hi Paki!

  • Indian are very proud of their dirty attitude!

  • We have lots of street foods in the Philippines and people are in a hurry to get it but NOT this kind! Very primitive!

  • @johnwest360 Indians are not "dirty people". They are personally very clean . I have seen people who live on the street cleaning themselves with soap and water in the street using cold water on a cold day. It is just a question of awareness of hygiene where food standards are concerned. In the west people go on training courses for this. That is a rare option in India for people selling street food.

  • @gainsay indians are fucking gross what the fuck are you trying to preach here

  • @johnwest360 don't worry about the hands which are clean, what i worry about when eating street food in India is how they cleaned those damned meteal plates and what water they used and what towel they wiped with. i know cause i get stomach bugs easily.

  • @desiguy55 I sometimes wonder about the hygiene of the burger and hot dog stalls on the streets of London during the Notting Hill carnival.

  • @sunshinemags don't know about the UK but here in the USA every food stall or stand must meet local hygene and health requirment to get a food license. without a license your stand will be immediatly shut down. the police check these licenses frequently and they must be displayed for all to see.

  • @johnwest360 Ha! I have some Indian friends here in Australia and they are cleaner than most Australians I know. Most of my Australian friends don't wash their hands before eating, Indians always do, they have to because they eat with their hands. Also, when your family cooks for you do they wear gloves? And in the supermarket do they wear gloves when handling the fruit and veg? Here in Australia they don't, in America they don't, in Canada they don't.. I will eat this food, it looks delicious!

  • @johnwest360 Mother fucker arrogant white bitch LISTEN ... ... Don't the fucking white cook touch the food in the kitchen or not ... the water tanks are all along side of all Indian street food shop ... they clean themself and surrounding place ... And most motherfucking doctor bills, pills and MOST DISEASES are in US n European words ...

  • @johnwest360

ofcourse, when you write bullshit, expect answers to come back to you...we eat with hands, so go die

  • Comment removed

  • @johnwest360 go to your local pizzeria, and see if anyone there isn't using their hands to make your pizza...

  • @johnwest360 lol do u use gloves while eating....hahaha ....it dsnt matter as long as ur hands r clean.....in fact hands washed and cleaned with soap are better than gloves...u know why??? cuz u dun know how they r made....lol...

  • @MrSinghinlove ...Hey dont tell me that my eyes are not seeing the real thing. Why you just accept the truth and Im not the only one criticizing this video...lol

  • @johnwest360 well, if u dun like it.....dont eat it...simple....lets not argue abt the video...i got more imp things to do....gud luck

  • @johnwest360 ,,.this is coooooooooooooooooool

  • @johnwest360 French kiss my ass son

  • I feel hungry after watching this

  • if you once caught "dysentery" from eating at those places, you'll think twice when you pass a stall like that again.

unfortunately i know what i am talking about.

  • indian and china 40% of the food oil comes from oils that flows out of restuarant sewer, or from pig liver fat etc or other cheap shitty ways. basically looks the same as normal vegetable or peanut oil. people knows about it. but what can they do. they have $1200 and 4300 gdp per capita respectively. its not gonna be the way you want it. still got to live and eat.

  • @eternalobi shut up

  • Fucking indians are disgusting and filthy as shiiiiit!

  • @choforito4000 shutup u paki

  • That is cool. A floating cake of fat

  • You should mail me some of whatever that is :D looks gooooooodddd

  • this looks amazing. come on you guys... mcdonalds as well as many other fastfood chains and RESTAURANTS re-use oil all the time. look behind a restaurant next time! a lot of the time they have bins which look like garbage bins but are actually just there to contain oil that has been reused over and over again. i bet these guys on the street change it way more often than mcdonalds! seriously! :))))

  • Looks unclean but Indian street foods are tastiest across India.

  • I'm glad to be from Kolkata :D and @gainsay you are right about hygiene, people in India don't get in as much trouble for getting one person sick as much as they do here in America but American street food is't that good from (specifically) where I am :(

  • EAT MORE PORK !!!

  • Wow I wonder how these guys would feel if they knew over 150k people have watched them on Youtube lol

  • street food fuck hygiene just fucken eat dude

  • I just don't understand how Indian people consume sooooooooooo much oil???/!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @2221971 lol we don't! it's like saying "oh! all americans only eat hamburgers and french fries!" This is just one of the few items that are deep fried, compared to many western foods, eastern and middle eastern foods are generally much better when it comes to nutrition. Mainly because we don't use much oil or meat in our cooking.

  • I bet no one in that stall has washed their hands all day.

  • mouth watering video ......... long live KOLKATA..... long live BENGALI.... long live INDIA...

  • The reality is that Indians generally are not as aware of hygiene I have seen cut fruit vendors in Thailand wearing plastic gloves as they prepare fruit. You will never ever see that in India.

  • hard working people! i love indians and proud to be indian!

  • Where exactly in Kolkata is this stall please?

  • @villagebelle

Where in Kolkatta is this place...can't remember with any certainty BUT i think it was near the 'Writer' building.

    Regards

  • @gainsay You do not need to find this palace exactly. you will find these type of FILTHY vendors in every nook and corner of India.

  • @villagebelle go up to the goat stall, then go across the street and u will see it next to the snake pits, theres a big sign that says "HELLO"

  • THATS THE REAL SOUL FOOD

  • filmed where in kolkata? I mean which area/district?

  • The trick with the bare feet is that their feet are cleaner than the shoes they walked there in. Wearing no-shoes IS the clean option...

  • @gellabellin hello my friend, i tried to add you but i can't , kisses

  • Indian foods look so good !

  • That looks really tasty but I would never eat food from the streets of india NEVER

  • I love it, pleeze tell me more. what is location pleeze pleeze pleeze!!!

  • looks so yummy, i want to try some

  • OMG...that looks so YUMMY! Food made fresh and fast right in front of your eyes...I'd rather eat street food than go to some stuffy un-fulfilling five star restaurant any day! :)

  • All of you who think that this is not "safe, hygienic food", you all are stupid. You don't know anything about the food or the people. They are poor, many of them don't have any education. BUT they doe everything like experts, based on expirience, things that they have learned from their fathers or somthing. They don't live in luxury, like you think you do!

Taht's the way they make their street food, that's the way they live.

  • price is just 5 rupees or 10 cents.

  • Boring zzzzz

  • Looks like fun!

  • Lots of people consider themselves experts of hygiene... God, Indian people eat with their hands, when do they change their oil, what if *gasp* there are germs. Surprisingly, a) No one forced anyone to go to India and eat street food.b) Those so called hygiene concerned people are perfectly okay to eat at McDonald which NEVER changes it's shape even after sitting on open shelf for ages (See the video at youtube) and c) They can eat the waiter's spit when they don't tip well. Ignorance is Bliss..

  • I think a lot of comments are based on how ppl associate people of color with lack of hygiene. Many of the comments seems to focus on hygiene and the use of oil and bare hands. But in similar videos shot in Bangkok and the Southeast Asia, nobody even mention such things even if though they cook their street food the same way.

  • @thendino1 I lived in India for 6 years and have traveled extensively in Thailand and other asian countries.

The reality is that Indians generally are not as aware of hygiene as we are in the west. I have seen cut fruit vendors in Thailand wearing plastic gloves as they prepare fruit. You will never ever see that in India.

One walk round a cheap hotel in India and one in Thailand will show you the difference in awareness of hygiene standards. But Indian street food is sooo good!

  • @gainsay Yes you are right. Hygiene is lacking in India. But hopefully this will change as India develops.

  • @gainsay bud have you ever been INTO THE CHEAP PIZZA STORE in north america?? i had seen the quality of the FOOD HANDLING...DO YOU THINK BEFORE MAKING PIZZA cook is going to wash his HAND EVERYTIME? DO YOU THINK IF THEY ARE USING SAPERATE KNIVES FOR VEGITARIAN AND NONVEGITARIAN PIZZA?? tons of times i have seen the SUBWAY maker uses the same gloves for upto 4 to 5 subs..have you ever seen the oil for fries in MCDONALD OR BURGER KING do you think they every owner wants to change it after?

  • @gainsay so again just because they are not cooking infront of you doesnt mean that they are keeping the quality...for handgloves anyone can wear it just for you to look at so you think they maintain quality...please be clear I AM NOT SAYING THAT INDIAN VENDORS ARE EXEMPTED ON THAT THEY SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT BUT ON THE OTHER HAND PLEASE ALSO LOOK AT THE SODE ON WHICH YOU ARE MAKING SUCH BLAIM...

  • @gainsay indian mom itself never like kids or husbands eating street food....she wants them to eat at home everyday.. or go to a good restaurant..... u had been in india for very long time u may know it verywell..

  • @gainsay so true. This is why India smells like crap but... i still love the place.

  • @gainsay so true. I hate the smell but India is a world of its own. One thing i worried during my travels there was whether if some street food vendors used the water in there food. I wanted to try a lot of there fresher stuff but i stuck with fried/cooked stuff to avoid food poisoning. (you never know if they washed the veggies with there water). In my travels i felt East asian and South east asian countries, have a better standard for what they put in there mouth then Americans.

  • YUCK!

Handling cooked food with bare hands seems to be the norm among Indians, Pakistanis, Banglas and other 3rd world country inhabitants. Even so-called educated people are guilty of these filthy habits. Is it in their culture?

  • oh my god i wanna go back to india!

  • omg i am jealous!!! I want some

  • This is unhygienic......the air is filthy and the cook is using his bare hands. God knows when he washes his hands, probably only after he closes his eatery.

  • why cant we have this? all we get is crappy old mcdonalds

  • loks delicios even though I know it must be insalubrious with the oil

  • The sanitation score for this eatery is zero. But Indians can handle it. As for others, if you eat, you repent; if you don't, you repent still.

  • When do they wash there hands?

  • @VegensRCows they dont, it spoils the taste.

  • Yumm

  • one day i will go yo india just to eat

  • 1. Dag, that looks good

    2. Look at the chef, he is paying attention elsewhere.

    3. After customer gets his food, he is still complaining or else looking for something extra.

Typical bullshit, but that is why people love India.

  • Im just surprised by the way they served the food with bare hands even with the liquid stuff. I know it's their culture but I'm just amazed.
