  • @grimsniper00 finding friends in hong kong is not a problem. Lots of kids from the UK live in hong kong, sometimes because their parents jobs mean they have to go or some were just born there because hong kong used to be part of the UK. Many people speak english there not every one but many. most schools in hong kong are laptop schools that means the pupils in the school use laptops all the time.

  • 8 people don't like amazingness

  • Proud to be cantonese :D

  • Does anyone know why hong kong has it's own flag from the rest of china?

  • @honolulu274 The capital of the People's Republic of China is Beijing. Beijing can be seen as its cultural/political centre, Shanghai as its economic centre and Hong Kong is a SAR of China, meaning Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. There are two SARs in China, the other being Macao.

  • I can't understand why those 8 peoples pressed Dislike...

  • The inequality in hong kong still amaze me. Even after i grew up there. Only in hong kong can you see someone starving to only be ignored for the upper class materialistic way of life.

  • Hands down Hong Kong, was there this summer! Boy it was hot...

  • I had a great grandpa who fled from Kowloon part of Hong Kong to Durango mexico after WWII,,, letters written to him from his previous family were full of horrible stories of starvation and poverty! now look at its marvel!! Hong Kong is gorgeous!!

  • What is the main city of china? Is it shanghai beijing or hong kong?

  • Hong Kong should be renamed "Adorable Children Islands".

  • nice city

  • I had the best vacation ever last week with my wife. I even wanted to work and live there that instant. Indeed, my favorite place in the world. I'll be back Hong Kong!

  • @filipinohater

If we get rid of them, who is gonna clean my flat in hong kong?

  • @666Jackdevil666 i will! i can clean your bank account too.

  • @filipinohater

LOL XD Thx , but I would rather stick with the fillipino maids which are like $10(Hong kong dollars) an hour. I have to admit though, every sunday in hong kong, they are like everywhere. Out on the street..... half of the population of Philippine are like all sitting in the street playing cards.

  • @filipinohater ---in your dreams moron....lol. nobody would listen to your petition because the CIA is going to be after you..wait till they drop a bomb at your house because you, yourself is what we call the modern day wannabe Koo Kluks Klan that needs to be tied around the tree and to be put at the stake of fire so u can burn in hell. btw.. u ain't 20,I'm sure ur just a stanky, ugly, old , fat bastard with a small penis who havent had tasted sex all ur life..what a LOSER...

  • I will visit Hong Kong someday! amazing city!!

  • @Sasukekillsitachi Im lieaving out Seattle next month i just hope i dont get shot down by N. Korea SAMS

  • Hong Kong has it's positives and negatives: it's exciting and has a good night scene and work opportunities are aplenty in this city. The downside is obviously its crowded conditions as a result of land space, air pollution is getting worse etc.

  • I'm missing Hong Kong every day of my life

    <3

  • Will be the 5th time in 5 years come November i'm going out there. Really love the place, its like my second home. Folk are really good to you out there :). Always something different to do as well :)

  • @spacecop67 lol :P you'll definitely fit in, any race is welcome :D! um i think the best places to sight see is Ocean Park and ofc Disney Land HK :D! theirs also markets in Mong Kok where you can buy fake stuff or you can try Stanley for more quality fake stuff :P! Entertainment/hot action wise you can go to the Peak or Lang Kwai Fong/Central. Depends how much money your willing to spend :P! or if your living there you'll get to see everywhere :P! It is truly the best place to live :P! imo :P

  • Don't they speak English partly in Hong Kong?

  • @LiveFromUnderneath Yes we do, we have private schools that teach in English :D!

  • This is gotta be one of my favorite cities in the world. Highly recommended.

  • singapore and malaysia are shopper's paradise they can compete honk kong if they offer better night life

  • macao is bettter than honk kong for shopping .. america is boring

  • I miss the british gents

  • I wanna go there again! I visit twice in 3 months a few months ago!

  • give me some dim sum pwease :3

  • Wowwww I really love it! I still dont understand what I am doing here in this shit country..... T_T''

  • ehh, your probably right lol

  • love hk soooooo much!

  • Hong Kong is really fun. Upsides definetly include shopping. I'm from HK but was raised in CA, so the food isn;t yummy for me LOL :) It can be super humid (LIKE...HOT RAIN) during the summer. And its crowded and chinese people spit. A LOT :( The transportation is amazing.. if you are buying a house they are extremely little. Scratch that. There are no houses just 70 story apartments! Some parts are super clean..but near Mong Kok there can be filthy motels and such. But AMAZING B-TIFUL PLACE!

  • Good video

  • I Love HONG KONG SO MUCH

  • I don't love Hong Kong as much as I used to anymore - it's become TOO westernised. People have become rude, especially with those bloody rich expats and Filipinos (the weekends are the worst). You can call me a racist if you want, even though I'm a citizen. I'm a mixture of Chinese and English with big Chinese pride.

Only good thing about HK is the transport, shopping and the food.

The scenery is beautiful, but you can get those everywhere. Apart from birds,

    not many wild animals around.

  • I love HK =)

  • Part of my family is from Hong Kong and I absolutely love it there with all the 'yam cha',Mtr, octopus cards, adorable toys and souveniers but I've got admit some parts are pretty dangerous and dirty though man do I miss it there!! And I definitely agree that you should go to Hong kong for some garunteed tasty Chinese food! :] x

  • I LOVE HONG KONG and I MISS HONG KONG

  • @UchihazNotDead

Me too! I was been there in Oct 2006 and I miss the city sooooo much!

I'll came back somedays, wait for me, Hong Kong!

  • I'm from NYC and thought Hong Kong would just be another NY but it is so much more and is so much better. I <3 Hong Kong. I will definitely return there one day

  • I Love HK is amazing!!!!

  • I bet this is play on the flight :) Man, I miss Hong Kong so much.

  • Are some of you guys kidding me....??? I'm from Hong Kong and visit there every year, but the place is so dirty, trash all over the place, people spitting, and the air is polluted. In terms of safety, I'll say its alright, but there are psychos out there, try reading some of the Hong Kong news on Yahoo. Luckily, if you want to eat REAL Chinese food, then Hong Kong is the place.

  • @nickchi1 :Thanks for your honest answer.

  • @nickchi1

maybe its cause you live in the ghetto area of hong kong! HHAHAHA

  • STEPHEN CARL MURPHY CO.

  • i'll be there next next week haha

  • hongkong is a safe place, very clean place .its amazing place. I love it h

  • I'd be in hongkong this coming June. I am so excited!!

  • Im BBC But i still love Hong Kong Proud to be a HK Citizen =]

  • nth gonna change my love of hong kong :D

  • I'm going there this saturday for 8 days. I can't wait, if I understood he language I would move there after my studies in a heartbeat!!

  • @Funkster228 Best way to learn the language is to live somewhere it's spoken. Just move to Hong Kong!

  • @Dead2k1 lol I practically did after the whole Iceland volcano fiasco. I actually managed to pick up a lot of the language too!

The whole experience of being 'stranded' there just confirmed it for me. I'm definitely moving there :)

  • @Funkster228 haha good stuff mate. good stuff.

  • The best place on world... I'm from Turkei.

  • I just departed from Hongkong 16 hours ago. It was one of the best experience that we will never forget although my feet still hurts (in HK you have to walk fast). We dined in Chinese restaurants and the friendly waiters understood us even though they can hardly speak English. We didn't carry a map since there were plenty of signs and directions strategically located on the streets and subways. I cannot say it all here. It was indeed an experience of a lifetime

  • @lgoopio: I am glad you visited beloved Hong Kong. I am from there myself, and sadly had to leave for the United Kingdom several years back. I swear I can only die on that soil.

  • chinese live style is much more better than eruo eruo so boring

  • @qqqqqqqqwb :NOT!

  • @qqqqqqqqwb oh, its not as bad as america.. trust me

  • @italianopellicano88 what. the fuck

    LOL

  • Nice city!! i have been in HK for 7 days in july 2009. and i had lived in Chi Ma Wan Kongkong from july1982 to feb. 1984. Now i am living in Westen Europe.

  • The racist, greedy, hateful, xenephobic, terrorist, psychopath and anti-immigration British, should never have been in Hong Kong and any of country in the first place.

  • @fgth1984:Sounds more like the Chinese.

  • I dont know why but I think I smelled (watching this) like the smell of Egg Roll.

I love Egg roll, I drink the saucage after I bite the Egg roll, it tastes better ha ha ha ha!.

Xià xia for the videooo! ;)

  • Well....

If you would scroll downwards and check out the comment from verybigfatcat212. Then you would see why I insulted the Brits. I am not saying all brits are dumb, but where i am most of them just smokes weeds all day and is retarded

  • I smoke "weeds" all day and I'm from HK, what you tryna say? I'm retarded? your the dude that's all about the devil lol

  • stop tryna sound hard lol....... your all about being a killer (not in real life but in Call of duty ofcourse)

You will get retarded when you smoke weed because it fucks up your memory

  • @Killakay101 You might want to change ur profile page from canada to hong kong to make ur post more believable.

  • @Kiasko why would i do that if i dont live in hong kong lol i only know this cuz i have fam there

  • @Killakay101

    Mmm I understand you.

But try to reserve those comments for who ask you if you want to evite bed moments ;D.

  • @666Jackdevil666

Compared to other countries, Britian's "weed" crisis is minimal, also, you said "but where i am most of them just smokes weeds all day and is retarded", maybe you should learn proper english before calling others retarded. ^_^

  • Its ridiculous that these comments below always degenerate into dichotomies of "HK vs mainland", "Britain vs. China", "Cantonese vs. Mandarin".

Chinese society is more complex than that. You would be surprised how many CCP supporters are prominent HK businessmen. You would also be surprised how many HK "locals" cannot trace their ancestry back to HK island...or even Guangdong province...

Its a changing world, and our perceptions should adapt to that change.

  • too many annoying mainland chinese people immigrated to hong kong nowadays.

  • I agree. They are not as nice as the people that live in Hong Kong.

  • @flectz for real!! agree

  • I will say this:

A HK Chinese graduate of HKUST probably has more in common with an "annoying" mainlander graduate of QingHua University, than he/she will have with the local HK populace.

We are defined by what we contribute to society, not by what political entity you are born in.

I've lived the past 20 yrs in the world's richest country, and all the "annoying" mainlanders I've met at work and in our grad schools are some of the most brilliant and promising scholars.

  • c'est trop bien hong kong im lovin it

  • I'm a UK citizen, can I live and work in Hong Kong?

  • yes but only if they cannot find local talent to fill the position.

  • You need a working visa.

  • No. Thank god.

  • These dumbos are racist retards.. of course you can work and live in HK, just gotta find a job right for you... English teacher would be a good option

  • @farang82 yes of course

  • its a place in china DUH

  • Are you kidding me?

  • no kidding

  • go back to school, kid

  • @KatiushaVN4

lol i laughed so hard when u saw saw ur comment.

i hv a couple of vietnamese friends told me that hong kong is very famous in vietnam. especially u guys always watch ur tv shows and movies. correspondingly, i know where vietnam is, its in africa, right? i think so.

  • ke bon tanjiku rokop spratavna miru!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @verybigfatcat, shoulkd? Hongkongese? Chinaland? thanks britsh always? OMG , I think you're the big dumbass here.

  • @verybigfatcat, about to thanks Brittain,... Have you ever had history at school and "The people are not at smart all" omg, I can see they are way smarter then you. Do you know HK is one of the leader in the world in IT Technology. So don't trash talk here.

  • I have been to Britain before, the people are even less smart than Hongkongese.

  • @verybigfatcat212

wow whats ur definition of being smart?

i have been in Britain be4, ppl r dumb.

  • Seriously? British are dumber than Hong Kongese people. They had to lower their GCSE (equivilant to O level) standard because the brits are too dumb and most of them don't get As and A*s...................

I am living in England, the people are not smart at all. England used to be the best country in the 1900s..... but now it is just shit

  • @666Jackdevil666

    hell i agree with you

im english but 90% of the people here are complete retard who think skitting someone when they are in large groups is funny

  • @666Jackdevil666 Aw...don't be so harsh on your own country. I visited London during summer and it wasn't bad at all! London, in fact, is #2 destination on my list :D. Though, Hong Kong has much more malls and entertainment stuff now. Before it wasn't like that. o-o. I'm cantonese so I know. XD

  • @Wingozilliahleung Ganga Con !! the HorseMan shall ride Again! Across Europe! they used tactics , alot smoke and mirros to bring down the Knights of Europe..

  • @Wingozilliahleung

Errm...... I am cantonese too XD

I was born in England, then moved to HK, then moved back to England (Long story). I have to say...... life in England is so boring.

  • @666Jackdevil666 no way! brits dont have it any more but chinese do? i guess your right everything here is made from China. Gangas Con rises again! Horseman shall ride once more across Europe! Hear the thunder !!!

  • @shinkoshoumei

LOL is that book from the 30s??? HAHAHA its the 21st century now!!! hong kong is way more advanced than any city... of course you could look at them in the eye.. =___=|| hk follow the laws of the UK

  • oh did i look so primitive lol. m gonna burn that book now mwahaha. kidding. ok thanks for that

  • we're going to hongkong next week im so excited :D but i wanna know more about their culture.. like what are the do's and dont's? i read a book that says students/employees in hk dont look at their teachers/boss in the eyes cuz that's considered disrespectful for them there. is that true? so what else are the dont's? im eager to know. thanks :)

  • Be respectful, be yourself, it is o.k. to look in the eyes. You'll find services in the city malls, and hotels are awesome. The McDonald, KFC, Pizza Hut, etc have better foods than in the U.S because Chinese people don't eat poorly prepared food. Subway, airport transports are clean, and fast. One of the best city in the world. Enjoy. Chinese Dum Sum there are the best. People practice Kung fu at Kung fu corner. Keep you wallet tight from pick pocketers because the heavy human traffic.

  • That helped a lot. thank you

  • Hong Kong Sucess=

The sucess that was abandoned by the United States aka... Economic Freedom...

Its shame that capitalistic policies that build an amazing city is lost in America...

  • Yes, the Opium Wars are a shameful chapter in British history. I wish they had never happened but what can any of us do about the past? As an English guy born in 1942 I lived the whole of my thirties in Hong Kong. It was a time of great happiness for me. HK people were always kind to me and cheerful. Now we have to look to the future. Unless the Chinese plan to punish Britain for the Opium Wars. I would prefer to restore to China any artefacts we took or damaged during our 'expansionist' years.

  • Without the British, Hong Kong would have been a little fishing village

  • @iquabakaner you mean after they forced western colonization, made them sign unequal treaties and pumped illegal imports like opium into their society.

  • @iquabakaner no i don't think so

  • @iquabakaner live in hk is better than london chinese style never sleep city

  • Comment removed

  • GREAT VIDEO !!!

    5 *****

  • 150 years of "British influence" is a bit of a whitewash, or euphemism.

A colony with people who had no right of abode in the UK is more exact.

  • Yeah, the British screwed the Chinese over...
