I've added a 'Supersnake' to my collection of cars. It has got a twin Paxton supercharger which brings it up to nearly 800 horses at just 2900 rpm's. Brought it to the drag strp and it did 0-100 in flat 4 secs. At the cost of a blown air vent.

if you watch the footage of the real thing, they did the jump at high speed, and it didn't even make it halfway. Then they set the car up again and shot the part where it came back down, it went about 15 feet across when it landed and then the driver lost control of the car, so yes he probably could make it, but the car itself wouldn't hold up from the impact. and that jump wasn't as groundbreaking as Halacki's was in the original gone in 60 secs, an awesome 30 feet up and 15 across.

yea but this is inaccurate. if u watch from when he takes off it roughly takes him 10 seconds to hit 60 my car does it in 9 and its only 200hp but then it only takes like 5 seconds to hit 100 wtf??

depends on what you drive, if you drive a 67 Shelby GT500 which is made of a metal body then that adds a lot of weight, but if you drive a say 2002 Nissan, the weight difference is very high. Plus you cant account for parts that didnt include the car itself, so perhaps about 7 secs. but I know it has to be quicker than that, bieng that my small block 64 hits 60 in about 5.5 seconds.

if you have ever seen the special edition after the move it tells you about stunts especially that one, the ambulance was fake but the jump was real and performed by a stunt driver, insurance wouldnt let nic do it

I've seen both several times and the original wasn't nearly as good as the new one. The storyline is better(Considering they really are not even the same movie) and the effects are fantastic. It's not always about one thing or another that makes a great film.

To be honest, i liked the new one a little better. With the one exception of the jump scene ( one of the most ridiculous movie moments of all time if you ask me). I mostly liked the cars in the newer one better, but the old one was cool too.
