I keep noticing all the pennywise comments...I have to say that this band BLOWS them out of the water, and I used to be a huge pennywise fan and have seen them 7-8 times...they're so stagnant now. They're like AC/DC and seem to keep making the same record over and over. Some friends of mine were at a show of theirs in Boise before they were ever catching on to a wide audience, and they were pretty much the only six there! They said the band still went crazy for them, basically they got a private Wilhelm Scream Show!!

Pinch harmonics on the guitars. often referred to as "squeals," you hear them a LOT in zakk wylde's playing, Killswitch engage, Lamb of god, all that hardcore stuff.
there's also finger-muted harmonics (fretboard harmonics) and those are the hallmark of songs like "brain stew" and other punk/light metal songs.
AWS uses them both, but not in this song, and very, very rarely.

AWS uses a single bass pedal, and all palm-muted or open played alternate picking on their guitars.

Pinch harmonics on the guitars. often referred to as "squeals," you hear them a LOT in zakk wylde's playing, Killswitch engage, Lamb of god, all that hardcore stuff.
there's also finger-muted harmonics (fretboard harmonics) and those are the hallmark of songs like "brain stew" and other punk/light metal songs.
AWS uses them both, but not in this song, and very, very rarely.
